It's one of those places where if you don't know anyone, might be a little awkward at first. After a few times, things will warm up. There's quite a few older regulars, and some younger folks, usually from fishing or shooting. The beer is cold, and the lines are clean. For $5 you can launch right into the channel that leads to Big Muskego lake, and leave your vehicle and trailers parked in the lot. The bar/restaurant itself is quite large inside and probably hopping on Friday for fish fry. We went on a Thursday and it was busier than I had anticipated with a steady stream of regulars passing through. The dining area is a distinct space that is separate from the bar. We ordered food and chose to sit at the bar, and as a bonus there was a nice view of the channel and outdoor seating area. I got the feeling that this place is cash only. I didn't see anyone paying with a card nor did I see a machine behind the bar. In fact, the register itself looked to be from 1940. I saw an ATM near the entrance so that's convenient. The same goes for the dining area. I noticed that everyone who paid for meals used cash instead of credit. For the food itself, there was a good selection of appetizers and sandwiches. Pizza is also available as well as some other main dishes. The prices were very fair for what is offered. We went with a 14" Franco special pizza and were not disappointed. It was well cooked and tasted great, for less than $15. Most of the sandwiches were between $7 and $9. I enjoyed this place, but it is dated and the bartender was kind of inattentive toward us. I felt that she catered more towards the regulars which made me feel like a burden on her. I would rate this place one star higher if she had paid as much attention to us as our waitress did- especially since we were seated at the bar.

It's a small neighborhood dive bar with a pool table TVs etc like any other neighborhood bar. The place was oddly packed and I got the last stool in the corner end of the bar. As I sat there drinking my cocktail the locals talked to me and invited me to the food which was cool. Suddenly happy birthday was being sung and it all made sense now because it was a surprise birthday party for one of the regulars and I was offered cake, how cool because I knew no one in the place. It's a very friendly neighborhood bar and not clikey at all.

Many are old white men w/long hair. But no one gives you that "non-regular" cold shoulder like some corner bars. We came at 6 on a Friday. The bar wasn't too busy. There were a few tables in the back, and a few empty spots at the bar. It's a small place. By the time we left at 7, it had filled a little more. I grabbed a table in the back, but after ordering food at the bar, I decided to move to the bar. The bartender gave us little crafted wooden boards that fit the bar, to give us a little table top. It didn't take long for our food. The three generous pieces of cod had a perfect thin crispy coating. Potato pancakes had the classic density, nice crispy outside, soft oniony inside. Coleslaw and rye, your usual. The fries are good but potato pancakes are worth the $1 upgrade. Make sure you bring cash! No credit cards taken, but they do have a $3 fee ATM. All in all, this is one of those great spots to hit after a long day of work, when you want to avoid a big crowd, and you just want a satisfying classic fish fry. Plus a $3.50 1/2 pitcher of PBR and an Andi's Candy at the end, I am a happy camper.
