Sandpiper's is a decent small-town restaurant and an overall above average experience. The place…read morewas clean and well-maintained. The décor was a little dated, but for a small town was still better than most. The menu was far from exotic but had everything you would expect from a basic meat & potatoes restaurant. The server was reasonably polite and the food was reasonably good. While nothing about the experience would qualify as exceptionally good - it was still consistently above average for small town dining. If you're looking for a safe dining experience with no surprises then Sandpiper's is a good choice.

We have gone there a few times now. Sunday Brunch is totally awesome and we highly recommend it…read more There is lots of variety of items on the buffet and if you can't find something love, you can also order off the menu. It's our Sunday place to go now. Bright, clean with good service and great food. They have changed the name now to FIFTY 11, same location plus a lovely patio area. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Our server was friendly and helpful with the menu but based on that we were one out of three couples there, service was slow. It was super hot outside and it took awhile to get the water glasses filled. Menu was diverse with enough to make most people happy with what they are able to order. We decided on the lamb flatbread. I went with the Salmon while my husband chose the burger . I don't get the idea of sides being extra though. So the burger was 14.50 to order and I think it would have been another 3 bucks for fries. So if my husband saw on the menu , $18.50 with fries he would have chose that. However he saw $14.50 for the burger and then the fries would be extra, he chose not the side. I have no idea why restaurants choose this. Especially for handheld items that typically come with a side. We are not at Ruth Chris Steakhouse. The flat bread was disappointing. The flavours were okay but not stand outstandish, but for 17 bucks we both expected a whole flatbread and not a half of one. My husband liked his burger. I thought my salmon was really good. No complaints on the food. Service and menu pricing could have been better. We also had a few cocktails, which were good. I liked this. But I wouldn't run here.

Always delicious, one of my very favourite places to go out for lunch or dinner or even brunch!…read more The staff, the service the food all wonderful! I love that they use fresh locally grown products. They change the menu seasonally so there's always something new to try, although it makes it hard to choose what to order when everything is so good! The artwork on the walls is lovely and for sale so they are supporting local artists as well! They also sell their own jarred preserves and they are so delicious. Their prices are similar to most other sit down restaurants so considering everything is fresh and locally produced and not wrapped in plastic, frozen, mass produced and microwaved that is quite impressive as well! I always recommended Twisted Fork to anyone new to town, but it's actually worth the trip to St. Paul as well!

While there you can't leave without consuming a pirogi so we visited the newly opened Perogy On A Fork. The interior was very welcoming and modern, not what we expected to see in a small village. We ordered the mixed pierogi plate which consisted of cheddar, cottage cheese, sauerkraut, and jalapeño cheese. It was fantastic, best we've ever had. They also have some local items such as cheese and small batch coffee roaster, which we also purchased and thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend if find yourself anywhere near Glendon, AB...or even if you're not. You'll thank me!
