Terrible $18 Turkey sandwich consisting of one processed slice of turkey meat. store bought cranberry sauce, mayo, mustard, on a old dried out piece of bread also store bought and a few days old! Don't waste your time and money as this place is terrible quality for the price. read more

This is by far the coolest coffee shop I've been too! The atmosphere, the decor, the coffee and the specials! It's a perfect place to catch up with friends, read a book, sit and ponder life, or even grab a coffee for the road! Great staff and the soecial baileys latte is a treat! read more

Beantrees is a standard Alberta-style blue-collar luncheonette, but with an inviting awning and fancy coffee drinks. But the overall decor is cavernous, rather than cute. The food itself is pretty tasty and healthy. I enjoyed my roast beef sandwich far more than say, Subway, and my home made french onion soup was hardly the best I've tasted, but still tasty.. My colleague liked the vegan black bean soup, which was a little thin, but still flavourful. Another colleague ordered a veggie wrap which looked kinda sad, admittedly. Service was not super-quick, but not too slow either. Good food takes time to prepare - if you want something fast, go to Tim Horton's or McDonalds. read more

Right from the second you walk in, you feel comfortable. The aesthetic is very pleasing and there is always a great special. The food is like homemade, make sure to grab a snack. Golly if you're visiting Cold Lake this is the place to eat and or grab your coffee. If only the were open longer hours! Gorgeous decor, check out the back room! The customer service here is terrible. The staff are poorly trained and even the shift managers don't understand their pricing system. I've been here about fifteen times and I've had to dispute the amount they tried to charge me at least five times. For example, a "triple espresso" is billed at $2.59, while a "two-shot Americano" (espresso + water) is $2.39. I order a triple Americano and she adds the two prices together, asking me for $5+. I asked to speak to the manager, who would not listen to logic so instead I changed my order to "triple espresso with hot water added" and was charged the correct price. Pretty ridiculous. This place is overpriced, has virtually zero customer service, and i I will never be back. read more

This cafe was a great find! I work in Cold Lake a few times throughout the summer and am always looking for a cute local place for coffee and snacks. The atmosphere is rustic, cozy and very welcoming. The comfy chairs, and book share and board games shelves invite you stay a while. The staff were friendly and the coffee delicious! Try the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Happy Camper breakfast sandwich. Yum! Will be returning! read more

Beantrees is a city style cafe with a small town feel! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is idyllic!

The new owners have taken this place to the next level. Awesome food, great atmosphere and fantastic live performances. They have definitely found a niche in the market in Cold Lake. read more
