I had to pick up a modem, which customer service over the phone told me I could just walk in to get. I was greeted by an employee who checked me in and stuck me in a queue of people waiting for service. I probably waited at least 15-20 mins before I was called over. They didn't have the equipment ready and I waited another 5-10 mins for them to package up one piece of equipment. The other visit was much quicker. This was a Saturday around 11am. I was checked in and only waited about 10 mins before I was called over to return some older equipment. The staff was friendly both visits and they did say that you could use the QR code on the window to schedule an appointment to get faster service. I just think pick up/drop off of equipment should be a separate area from everything else. It takes 2 seconds vs someone setting up a new device.

She then heavily implied that this was just a formality and she just needed the paperwork for her files to get the discount through. It was COVID and I was tired and dumb and believed her. Now of course my 10 year old equipment is completely non-functional and we no longer even need the system in our new place and we are getting charged a fee to cancel. Any company that relies on early termination fees to keep their customers STAY AWAY. Go with Simplisafe. You'd honestly be better off putting the equipment on credit than taking free equipment from these people.

The last straw was while out of town we received a text stating that our alarm had been tripped. The monitoring center for Vector never called the police! We ended up calling them directly ourselves! Thankfully, it was a false alarm. But what good is a security company that doesn't dispatch the police?
