Ended up breaking my immobilizer chip in my Honda Fit fob trying to swap to a new case since I…read moresnapped the key off of the original. Not only is this style chip only used in half of a model year of the Fit but it's also not commonly used in general even by Honda. Most don't even keep it on hand. I'm so lucky Austin did have those in stock. He came and had the whole ordeal of programming it done within 10 minutes. I'm not sure I know anyone else who does locksmith work who does the work so fast. Very good price, and great response time. Austin is very professional and always nice. He did a key fob for me years ago when one died on me and left me stranded. Highly recommend him!

Beware of extortion pricing!…read more I called yesterday to have some code-cut keys made. Nothing special, just some Kwikset KW1 cuts. To my shocking surprise, they wanted $20 EACH for them! I needed 4 code-cut keys ($80), plus another 17 duplicates. I didn't bother to ask the price at that point. But I'll guess $3\ea. I called around to other locksmith's. After 20 or so calls, I ultimately found 2 other locksmith's in the Pittsburgh area that will do them. Those two wanted $3 each and $3.50 each for the keys. While I realize what I wanted isn't a "common" every day request from a locksmith, it doesn't take much more time than a simple key copy. Maybe a minute a key. It appears to me that B&P knows there are few places that can / will do these types of keys, and as such, they're price gouging on it. I'm glad I spent the extra 10 minutes calling around. That 10 minutes saved me $64 by not paying B&P's extortion pricing. On top of the pricing, the person that answered the phone was incredibly rude. I will never give them my business again. The locksmith I found not only gave me a great price, but also hand delivered them to our facility as well!

Gary has been extremely helpful a couple of times with my safe. A few years ago he got it open when…read morethe locking mechanism got stuck and I could not get it open with the key or the keypad. No other locksmiths would even come out to look at that issue. He replaced the keypad with a high quality keypad and removed the key lock, which was the problem, assuring me that there was no reason to spend the money and possibly compromise the safe for him to replace or fix the key lock issue because the keypad was high quality and would work. Again he came to the rescue this week when I forgot the code after not opening it for a few years. Instead of wasting money for him to come out, he walked me through what to try first, which worked. I would recommend calling Timchak Safe and Lock for any safe or lock issue.
