Great parking on a field next to the farm. All the staff have been wonderful and friendly. One even went the extra mile to explain the varieties of lavender and what we need to do and how to cut the lavender. We appreciated the explanation and information. We grabbed a white basket, which had lengthy white twist ties and a scissor. You cut between the 2nd and 3rd leaves. There are numerous bees everywhere and you can hear them buzzing about but they pretty much leave you alone. It was a rather warm day and beautiful. Perfect for picking lavender. It's $5 for a bunch that you can fit within the twist tie, which is a rather large bunch. I picked two types of lavender -- an edible variety and one that s used more for its oils and is more aromatic. There is also a lavender-colored Adirondack chair in the middle of the field for photo opportunities. We ended up purchasing kettle corn with lavender, which is oddly delicious and I had a fresh squeezed lavender lemonade. I loved it! There were numerous handcrafted items to purchase from varying booths. I purchased some emu oil, some bowl pads, and a tank top. I ended up picking up a 2.5 lb large bag of lavender buds to put into satchels and place around the house. I ended up giving half of it to my next door neighbor and gave them half of the lavender I picked. The lavender I picked was also cutely wrapped in tissue with a cute tie. When I had gotten home, I made a simple syrup with the lavender and have used it in drinks and to make scones with. Overall, this was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend.

I bought the Lavender Tea Tree large size of each. They also have Lavender; bar soap, body butter, bath salts, body oil, and dog products! I know I am forgetting some, sorry! The fields go on forever and you may stroll along with you barrowed basket and scissors merrily clipping fresh Lavenders into by the tie bunches. The big event of the year is next weekend! Way back in December I ordered five Carpatian walnut trees for delivery April 1. (Order Number:…read more 151866) The trees arrived, as requested, as close to April 1 as possible, which was April 3, which as it turned out was a bit better than April 1. However, April proved, as T.S. Eliot noted, the "cruelest month." Here in the far NE corner of Oregon, we had about 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground the day the trees arrived (It had snowed all day on April 1...) ! Temps were in the 20's (Brrrrrr!) So we stored the trees in their box and wrapping, in a covered and sheltered area next to the barn. It remained unseasonably cold, with more snow for two weeks! We kept our fingers crossed and checked often to be sure the roots were moist. (They were--you did a great job of packing!!) We were finally able to plant them on April 22nd when the weather began to realize that, for gawds sake, it was supposed to be SPRING! We planted the five walnut trees amid some widely-spaced, century-old heritage apple trees, so they could get some encouragement from the elders. The pioneer orchard has also been invaded by an encroaching forest of hawthorns, which I'm removing with some degree of fervor. I'm very happy to report that despite the added month of forced dormancy, all five of those walnuts are growing well and each has produced about 6" of growth on their crowns already with plenty of leaves. The trees were a gift in honor of my husband and my 5th anniversary together. We are both a healthy 75 years old, and those trees will give us some added incentive to lead healthy lives so we can harvest their walnuts some years in the future. Thank you for the trees, for shipping them on-time, for packing them securely, and for your care in growing them.

One star because you can't give 0 stars. I have used them in the past with good luck but not this…read moretime. 3 of the 10 fruit trees I ordered died, so I reached out only to be informed I was past the 30 day window for the gaurentee. At 30 days, the trees weren't even dead yet. So, no guarantee and no replacement and not even a thank you for giving them my money so they could send me some substandard trees. These were interspecific plum trees originally from Dave Wilson Nusery in Ca. I asked the rude person on the phone if I could just get replacement trees next year, they said no. I also asked if DWN warreties the trees and got no answer. So now I will have to buy more trees (theses are varieties I wanted) next year thereby doubling or more the cost of the trees and loosing the year. My advice, stick with quality nuserys that will at least replace the tree. It makes me wonder why they have this policy? Too many claims?
