I had a fungal infection in the sphenoid sinuses he diagnosed it. I had surgery and the problem was fixed. It affected my face, he also shaved the terminates, the sense of smell got better even though it wasn't in that part that detects smell. Go figure. He is very thorough and funny, but most importantly a great physician. If you want something done right, go here. He reminds me of old time doctoring, when they actually care. Thanks everyone.

As I expected, Dr. Cavanaugh said there was nothing wrong with my Eustachian tubes and my ears were fine. I was glad to get this confirmed and have since figured out my problem on my own (which had nothing to do with my ears). Dr. Cavanaugh was personable and I'm sure he's a competent, knowledgeable doctor. I read negative comments about staff but the front desk and nurse who got me set up, were both very kind and friendly. During the exam, he said he saw a bit of ear wax, and without asking my permission, preceded to use a machine to extract the ear wax. When I received my bill, I was charged an additional $105 for this unneeded procedure. I have a high deductible so I knew none of this visit would be covered. I was not forewarned that there would be an additional fee on top of the office visit. When leaving he had me schedule a follow up even though he said there was nothing wrong with my ears. (I cancelled) My warning is: demand a break-down of ALL the charges for your visit. I wish I'd said when I entered the room that I want to know if there will be any additional charges on top of the office visit. And beware that he may want you to return for a follow up. Use your judgement on that. I have no problem paying the office visit, but I'm upset that I was nickel and dimed.

They are generally pretty prompt in getting you back. They are currently still taking a temp before taking you back. Dr Junker went through my medical history beforehand since i had not seen her. She seemed intuitive and asked a lot of good questions. She was very thorough. I appreciated the level of care. She also ran some bloodwork that hadn't been done before but she thought was good to check since i am vegan and have some autoimmune issues. I appreciated the thoroughness.

I was further told that they "can't do anything about it"... but they are sorry their staff didn't tell me that the $125 was only a down payment. They are outright lying. This is all a scheme to squeeze additional cash out of patients who have already paid. Whoever heard of a business that quotes a price for a service that is only a down payment? And when he realized that he was wrong he didn't even apologized. He gave me bad instructions of how to remove the stitches and it resulted on a big scar that I will have forever. And also, after all, he asked me to take an antibiotic that I could never take while pregnant. And he knew that I was pregnant because he was the one that was taken care of me at that point. If you decide to wait for an operator, that's another 3.5 minutes, at which point, even if you gave them the name of the person THE FACILITY told you to call, they'll direct your call: a) back to the number you called, to start all over again b) to scheduling c) "another number" for the business office that leaves you hanging for another 10 minutes before forcing you to leave a message And we probably have a simple question. I shudder to think what it's like for patients with a complicated question that requires a complicated answer, trying to get it asked and answered over a series of emails. To the doctors (or private equity people?) running the practice: chronic high call volume isn't an excuse to erect barriers to care, it's a sign that staff is likely overburdened and needs more people.
