Possibly anywhere…read more She's rightfully earned that title too, that's not just my opinion, she's been awarded Best Dentist in Flag and with good reason. Short & sweet, Stephanie is professional, she is compassionate, kind and most importantly she is HONEST. Highly recommend. Make your appointment, you won't regret it. The longer version: This isn't a review to get gain on my part in any shape or form. No shirt, movie tickets, no $50 discount off my bill. It's simply because she deserves it! I just feel bad it's taken me so long to leave one! In my 31 years she is the most trustworthy dentist I've ever rubbed shoulders with and I've had my fair share of run ins with less than desirable dentists who've recommended all the work just to take advantage of my insurance, and empty my wallet. I've known Stephanie for three years now and have seen her every 6 months. As for curbside appeal, it's a cute brick building in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. And the interior, quaint, sufficient and cozy. BUT the care that you will receive far surpasses the esthetics. We have since moved to the valley and had to be seen by a new dentist who was all those things, new, flashy and fancy-state of the art equipment that they didn't hesitate to brag about. But all of that did NOTHING for me. Because he was dishonest. After a regular cleaning he told me I needed 4 crowns (2 that needed to be done immediately) and that I have a handful of cavities. I was in shock considering I hadn't had a single cavity in the two years I'd been seeing Stephanie. I wasn't about to move forward without a second opinion. I called, set an apt & made the 3 hour trip to see Stephanie, she made her assessment before I gave her his recommendations (per her request) and sure enough all I need is to repair two fillings! "You don't know what you don't know" which is why I always dread having to find a new doctor, because of dentists like that it makes it really difficult to know what to believe and who you can trust. But I LOVE AND TRUST STEPHANIE. I am so grateful for her, her expertise and her practice. All personnel in her office have always treated me respectfully, have been kind and always professional. There is little that irks me as much as someone who is rude to their support staff. I suspect these are the same types of people who are rude to waiters and other people in service professions. As an attorney, I have my own support staff and frankly, they are the ones who keep my office running and I try to do everything I can to enable them to do their best. I can't imagine ever talking to them the way he spoke to his staff. It's unfortunate because the staff at this office is great, they are always friendly and welcoming. They deserve to be treated with respect and Dr. Rodda does not. So, what happened? Because of the pandemic, I'm working from home and helping my daughter with virtual school. A meeting ran late, I live outside Flagstaff and on my way into town, I ran into traffic problems. I called the office to make sure that it was OK that I was late, otherwise I'd reschedule. If I had to reschedule, I would have totally understood. If I have appointments with clients and they are 15+ minutes late, they have to reschedule. So, again, it would have been completely understandable if they wanted me to reschedule. But they said it was fine, so I came in. The hygienist brought me back very quickly and she was very friendly, efficient and competent. Literally every single person at this office, except Dr. Rodda, is awesome. Towards the end of my appointment, Dr. Rodda came in and proceeded to chastise the hygienist for being behind schedule, in front of me! It wasn't her fault. I found his behavior to be mean-spirited and unprofessional. And then he rudely told me to put my phone down and when I told him that I'd been late, he said I needed to focus on my teeth. What? I was just trying to explain that it wasn't the hygienist's fault that I was late. The other time I had a negative experience was about a year ago after I'd had a gum graft and I was freaking out because it looked like zombie flesh (which I found out is normal). My periodontist is in Sedona, so I went in to Dr. Rodda. He was very condescending, insensitive and rude, telling me to "calm down" like I was a child having a temper tantrum. Really? How about addressing the patient's concerns in a thoughtful way instead of being a jerk? When I had my follow-up with the periodontist, he was a shining example of how a doctor should treat his patients. The periodontist told me it was normal for the gum graft to look the way it did and it was also completely normal for me to be freaking out, since I'd never had one and I didn't know any better. It was 180° from the way I was treated by Dr. Rodda. It seems as if Dr. Rodda views his patients and his office staff as expendable. Well, my latest visit was my last because it was the second time I visited this office and Dr. Rodda was rude and disrespectful. There are too many other dentists in the area to put up with one who clearly doesn't appreciate my business and treats his support staff so terribly.

I suffer with PTSD/anxiety and the dentist was just not a place I ever wanted to be-LOL! However, Dr Bacon was incredibly patient with me, and calm. His personality just lights up a room. So I felt at ease, I'm pretty sure I even laughed at my first appointment instead of booking it out the front door. Had a bunch of cavities from not seeing a dentist regularly so that was a stressful experience financially, but not so much physically. The front desk gals helped me get the financial stuff squared away. Not that it was expensive, I just wasn't prepared for it. I do believe their prices after the insurance I have is very reasonable. He made sure I was never in pain. Took breaks if I needed. Angel had also been the most amazing dental hygienist ever 6 months. Now you are hit with HUGE bills for a basic checkup that could have been avoidable if they had only done their job beforehand. The Dr. was great, but receptionists that lie instead of just checking; are not good at their job and there should be a repercussion as CLEARLY no one would pay insurance to then go to some facility that does not accept it when there are so many other options in Flagstaff that do. And do their job. And are upfront with you prior to your visit.

Kyle Hobson and his crew are very efficient, friendly, easy to relate to and with. Sometimes, they seem almost psychic. They knew what was on my mind many times over the years, usually before I knew what services I both needed and wanted. At my age (advanced as is), I had yellowing, severely worn teeth. I was referred to this clinic to provide semiannual cleanings and any special services as the clinic requested and justified. I expressed my hope that my teeth could be replaced with something whiter and longer that what God had left in my mouth, if for no other reason than to allow for my cheeks to stop being chewed by my stubby teeth! One day, Dr. Hobson called me at home and asked if I would come in on Saturday to start the replacement process. "Sure!" I said. Thus, the process of measuring my jaws and gums began, and less than 4 weeks later, I had a new smile that I can't stop showing off.
