We loved this place. 15 miles to Philadelphia and a day in the city. Clean & well kept. But above all the location was spectacular.

It's right off I-295 so it's easy to get to, and it's the closest campground to Philadelphia if you want to go sightseeing.

As a seasonal camper reading the reviews left by people who claim to be "seasoned campers" or "…read moreexperienced campers" who have spent a weekend visiting or a few days and want to complain about the size of the sites, the lack of entertainment, the "condition" of certain facilities or the "rudeness of people" - it is NOT the job of the campground staff to entertain you, nor is it their job to discipline kids "roaming around in packs" as one reviewer stated- if you have an issue- report it and it will be dealt with. As for the issue of "waiting for the honey wagon... and we had to rush home ... for Father's Day" - there are TWO dump areas that are available for you to dump your tanks yourself! AND as far as the grey water draining into the ground- most travel trailers have a holding tank- YOU had the choice to drain or not to drain. Furthermore as for the store being "constantly busy" and "having to wait for service- are you special that you jump to the front of the line everywhere you go? If so, please let others know about- so they can jump line too! Someone else complained about "dog poo" on their site- EVERY SINGLE TIME THAT A CAMPER CHECKS OUT THE SITE IS CLEANED!- if it was a particularly busy week maybe they missed it- do you report it to the store? Did you tell anybody? NO? Then don't complain! We have been camping here for over 15 years - the campground is beautiful, the people are kind and considerate and the facilities are well maintained. Also there are plenty of activities within "an hour's drive" IF you did your research like you claimed! Tubing on the Delaware- 10 min...The Crayola Factory- 40-45 mins... Ringing Rocks- 5-10 min... Lost River Caverns 40 min... Dorney Park- 1 hour... Sesame Place- 1 hour.... The list can go on and on and on....depending on the time of year.... This is not a franchised campground like KOA or Yogi Bear Jellystone - it's family run by people who care and try to make the camping experience positive ....Enjoy the surroundings and relax - don't complain about cicadas ( the campground is NOT "infested") or it being "too woody"- it's called NATURE -if that bothers you then go stay in a hotel.

My boyfriend & I were there the weekend of 4/24/26 for 3 nights. We did have our dog w/ us as…read morewell. Upon pulling in the place looked very nice. Very friendly office staff. We were told what site we were going to be at and we proceeded on. On the phone making reservation it was made clear we would be amongst brush & trees/bushes, well that was NOT the case. We were put in what was apparently just cleared & created as new sites. It was a clear cut stone parking lot. No brush, no trees. VERY CLOSE together sites. Not the camping feel at all. We enjoy a campsite surrounded by nature & woods. We booked their special of camp two consecutive wknds and you can leave the camper there. After spending one night we decided we did not want to be there the following wknd. We spoke w/ the office & the woman took notes and said the office manager would have to make the decision on refund & that SHE would be in all day the following day. We took many walks w/the dog & had no issues until Saturday early evening. There is a home on the property (assuming the owners home). As we were walking we were approached by two dogs OFF leash. One was calm, the other not so much. Having had a run in with a neighborhood dog and the dog jumping on me this was not looking like a good situation. A man & woman strolled up the road w/ no sense of urgency. I yelled & voiced myself while hovering over our dog and my boyfriend trying to block their dog who was growling & barking. Keep in mind it was Pet wknd at the campground. It was said to me after getting quite upset "Are you hurt yet?' Not something someone should say when encountering an aggressive dog. The next day we were told by the office that a manager was on HIS way to talk to us. He was a very young man assuming related to the owners. He was though very kind & polite & said a refund would be issued. I did mention the dog situation, and he was not very responsive so definitely thinking now those were his parents. Site next door was very loud Saturday night, with yelling & a dj size speaker outside that was still going at 10:45PM, quite hours are 10PM-7AM. No one riding around checking on things. Again, the campground was nice, clean & mostly friendly staff, but we will not return due to some rules that ownership/management do not follow. Note-they have mini golf & charge $8.00 per person, showers by the office are push button & one only stayed on for 3 seconds. Did let manager know.

Upon reaching out to Seashore they dismissed me and told me in so many words "Oh well." They told me a bed bug investigation was done on 10/15 and no bed bugs were seen. After some of our own research and a call to the health department. It was discovered that on 10/15 a bed bug investigation was done by a Western sales representative, not a technician. The sales representative, unqualified, found no bed bugs on 10/15. On 10/29 an email was sent to the CMC Health Department by us; to try and get to the bottom of the situation. On 10/30, a visit from a qualified Western technician and the health department, bed bugs were found. As more information was uncovered it was found that the Western visit on 10/15 was prompted after a woman left and reported bed bug bites as well. Seashore Campground has done nothing to even try and attempt to rectify this situation. They have tried to cover this situation up with lies and avoidance. No one will return our phone calls or emails. We are now concerned the bugs have been brought into our personal home and will be facing a hefty extermination bill if this is the case. This is both negligence on Seashore and Western. Be careful before you book your stay. They aren't taking preventative measures against bed bugs. Only "dealing" with problems as they arise -- and half ass*d at that. The managers are rude and dismissive. They told me they handled this situation with the "Golden Rule" in mind -- treating others as you would like to be treated. I am not sure if constant scratching and bug bites on your face, arms and legs is in the top ten choices of how a person would like to be treated -- but if they had proper hospitality training they would have learned this in their first lesson. Shame on your Sun Outdoors, and honestly Western too. Do better. Cape May County is a small town -- what goes around comes around.

The campground has soft gravel for dogs. It is beautiful and large. It has a place for fishing. It can fun for golf carts and bike riding. There isn't many bugs here either.
