Simple but well maintained campground easy to reach. Nice for kids, but... Problem was the incredibly rude office staff. The last dot of my trip here my kids wanted to go to the pool one last time. So we focused on getting the RV packed up then went up to the front parking area to checkout while the kids went swimming. Literally no one else in the pool this time in the morning. After about 5 min this angry "Karen" from the office comes out yelling at us saying we're no longer guests and need to leave since we checked out. She said she'd be nice and give us 15 min to leave. Mind you it's not even checkout time yet I didn't have to tell them anything. On top of that what's 2 kids getting one last swim in as their vacation ends harming that you need to come out and literally yell at us? read more

We have a 20-ft Air Stream BaseCamp and stayed here for 3 days now - our experience of this campground was exceptional! All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, especially a huge 'Shout Out' to Alicia and Theresa. Theresa helped us on making changes on our reservation before we arrived. We are planning to stay for 2 months and she was able to secure us in only 2 sites within such a long period of time. And I have to say Alicia 'rocks'! She is very knowledgable, super friendly, nice and helpful. She is the Go-to person in the office. She is awesome! I asked to borrow an outdoor broom, she called maintenance and had it delivered to my site! How nice was that!!! :) As for the campground, it is very clean and I love that they have gravels and grass. We have stayed at a few other KOAs and most of them have dirt ground. I am grateful that I don't have to wipe my dog's paws every time he climbs back in the trailer. The site maybe a little small if you have a bigger rig. As for us, it is perfect. I see a lot of guys maintaining the campground. I think they are doing a great job! Bathroom/Shower is clean and water pressure of the shower is great. There is No negative experience for us and I am very happy that we found this campground. read more

Only pleasant experiences at this KOA. The staff were very nice and helpful. They escorted us back to our site and even helped me back in. They have plenty of pull through sites if you prefer them. KOA's can have a bad reputation, but I find it comes down to the attitude of the property owner. These owners have their hearts in the right place. Stop in and shop their camp store / gift shop. They have a cute selection. Take the train into Philadelphia. It's a short drive to the station, with free parking. read more

We stayed here for the Philadelphia Rock-n-Roll 1/2 Marathon and couldn't have been happier. $55 per night versus hotel cost in Philly, plus campfire, s'mores and live music all provided by the campground the night before the run...all wins! A decent campground in a good location with short ride off I-295. Prices are acceptable. Sites pretty level with good hookups. WiFi works good at all sites we have been on. Been here 4-5 times for at least a week each time. Facilities appear decent but we don't use them. This is our site for visiting family & friends in NJ. Closest decent campground to Interstate and Philadelphia. Recommended highly as long as you are not there just for the campground. I can't speak to the campground from the point of view of a long term visitor or full season user. My use is only for a place to park while I tour and visit. read more

Great price for a tent site, and right off the interstate. The people who run the place were super nice, and the campground and bathrooms/showers were very clean. My dog and I got firewood at the office and made a nice campfire. then we relaxed to the sounds of crickets, the fall breeze and our fire. The place was pretty packed, and it's not huge. We only stayed one night while passing through, so we didn't have time to check out the trail availability. This place is a great place to spend the night while passing through on a road trip. read more

This was our first time staying at a KOA Campground. We were pleasantly surprised at how well kept the grounds and cabins were. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it exceeded our expectations. The cabin had two bedrooms with queen beds, a full bathroom, and a great kitchen area. There were 3 smart TVs which all worked and there was cable. We stayed right around the pond which was nice and took a walk each morning. Lots of RVs were staying and everyone spoke and was friendly. This is a dog friendly campground and our pup enjoyed the dog park where he could run and retrieve balls. We were there in December but would return in the Summer to enjoy more outdoor amenities like swimming and grilling! The staff was responsive and the communication was timely. Checking in and out was a breeze. Would definitely recommend for first timers and repeaters. Great stay! read more

We traveled here from California for a wedding, making the trip in our RV. We stayed for 3 days and were very happy with the choice. The parking space was a bit tight, but we didn't pay for a premium site. The host was nice, and helpful when we needed directions. The restroom and shower areas were clean, although a bit dated. I tried the showers at the back of the park and found the hot water was at best luke warm, as mentioned by previous posters. The showers at the front were hot, but not as nice looking. Overall, we would definitely stay here again anytime. If the restrooms were updated it would get 5 stars read more

We loved this place. 15 miles to Philadelphia and a day in the city. Clean & well kept. But above all the location was spectacular.

As KOA campgrounds go this is definitely one of the better ones. Understandably because it's under new management etc. they might be still working out a kink or two but as far as cleanliness, friendly staff, and easy to get to location and with a pool etc I found it very convenient and perfect for us. We are only hauling a small 15 foot trailer but the pull through was nice. If it had free Wi-Fi I would've probably given it one more star. Also a little more shade would be nice but all in all a good KOA. read more

Nice campground in a convenient location, but we were treated horribly upon arrival by an employee. After checking in we were driving to our site when an employee on a golf cart started screaming at us and was throwing his hands in the air. I stopped and he started yelling that we were driving too fast (we weren't because there were tons of kids on bikes) and then yelled for driving without an escort (the desk didn't tell us to wait for an escort and this "rule" isn't listed in their brochure either). Then he took off on the cart and I had to go faster than I was driving in the first place to keep up with him. When we got to the site, My wife and I said we weren't told to wait for an escort and he said he didn't believe us. I also said that either way he didn't need to yell at us like he did, which prompted another hateful reply before he drove off. When we called the office to report what had happened, they said he is the maintenance manager and that they would "take care of it." I've never been talked to by anyone at a business like I was by this guy. We investigated simply leaving and finding another campground, but we would still be required to pay due to their cancellation policy. If you don't mind being treated like trash when you stay somewhere, this is the place for you. Mine isn't the only review with similar complaints about how badly they were treated by the staff. read more

It was raining not hard at the time of our arrival at this KOA campsite .I was escorted to my site by a KOA staff member in his golf type cart .We had a hard time pulling thru with my fifth wheel unit in number 11 space which is on the end location. I backed in and out the gentleman said to get as close to the left side as possible. We pulled forward and back at least 6 times with his directions. I told him three times I have three slide outs, are you sure that they have enough room. He said yes I do. This KOA campsite have placed a iron pipe about 4 inches thick on the left side which sticks out of the ground exactly 30 inches I measured it. It has the number 11 on it which is our site number. I have stayed at several other campground sites including two other KOA campsites and have never seen these iron markers before. When we pushed out the electric slides that pipe bent the rear slide about three inches in . That gentleman has avoided my site location driving around in his cart since this happened. He has not taken any responsibility for what he did nor has any park worker. I told the young blonde haired worker from the office what happened , her comment was I will tell him and have never heard a word since this happened. Then I talked to another worker in a cart driving by he has brown hair and a beard , he offered to let me use a rubber hammer to try and bend it back when I am leaving tomorrow. He said sorry that happened. I doubt it will bend back. The site itself looks okay but is the shortest site I have ever parked in with full service for my 42 foot fifth wheel. I had to take my HD3500 truck off the hitch and park it sideways in front and it still is on the roadway a little. When we arrived also there were three women inside the office working. The oldest women with long grey hair said that the car with me which my wife was driving and has a small 4 by 6 trailer would have to pay for another whole site. I said why is that I have never paid extra before at any other campsite for that extra car with small trailer . Every other campsite let me park it were they had extra parking available . So the young tall blonde women Spoke up and said no we can just charge him a miscellaneous fees for 25.00 for my two day stay. So I paid that 25.00 fee no choice. We parked it behind the building right next to the pool area which has plenty of parking available. I noticed too that the factory sealing material has pulled away on my slide where the pipe is now denting my slide 3 inches in too. I also had another problem too ! For the first two hours after arriving I had only battery power in my fifth wheel. The 50 amp service was not working . My wife after all this walked to the office in the rain and said there was no power on our site. A electrician who works for the campground came over in a few minutes and tested it and said it must be us. So we checked all the breakers and reset devices. We found nothing wrong. I then just upset took my long plug in to the campsite next door plugged it in and my wife yelled out we have full power . So I am using the power from lot number 12 next door for my electric service. My wife then walked back to the main office and said that we had to use the electric box next door and they agreed to let us use it. The electrician says maybe my cord is loose because his tester showed power on number 11 . All I know is my camper is only a few months old used it about 8 times since we bought it brand new sells for over 105,000.00 and I plugged it into the electric box next door to us and it worked immediately. The electrician was very kind and was sorry about the large dent now on my new fifth wheel too. He could not check my power source to see if it was loose because of that KOQ campsite policy he said too. My wife and I are very upset how this has been handled from this KOA campsite. I just want everyone to know what can happen here. I cannot wait to see what CamperWorld will charge to fix that new large pushed out dent area on my slide out too! read more

Decent place to stay while enjoying surrounding areas and activities. It is not a resort like campground, playground has just a slide and a spring ride and there are no activities. The pool however, is quite large and there is a 1 1/2 foot wading pool for the little ones. The staff is friendly and helpful, most roads are paved and some of the campsites have patios. My only real complaint is the flies, they are so numerous that it is impossible to eat outside and we have spent every evening killing the ones that made it into the camper during the day. Also, since our picnic table was made of concrete we were unable to move it, however, since the flies kept us eating indoors anyway, it really didn't matter. read more

We stayed here 1 night while passing throughthe area. It's very accessible from the highway, the staff was friendly, and the sites were easy in and out. Cable tv and wifi were very good, and the bathrooms were clean. I would have liked a slop sink to wash dishes, it was impossible in the bathroom and against their policy. Maybe there was one at the main building, but it was closed when we needed it. My main issue was that the shower wasn't warm enough to bathe. Maybe I didn't wait long enough, but I eventually grit my teeth and took a cold shower. Once you get there and get undressed, you're kind of committed! I did not enjoy this part. read more

Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 16-nights in a site for big rigs (site # 43). Pd $54.29/night. The good....if you desire to stay close to Philadelphia this would be an excellent choice. This is a very quiet park and very well maintained. If you have a dog there is ample area to walk your pet plus a fenced dog park located at the front of the park. Our AT&T phones worked great here and we also had satellite reception. However, if your site is on the outside perimeter, you may not get satellite reception because of the beautiful tall trees surrounding the park. After 16-nights, the dust on our coach was minimal compared to many other parks. Big coaches need a gravel pad, so we give this RV Park a 5-star rating for the thick gravel pad. Each site had room at the side of the coach for sitting and relaxing while BBQ'ing. There are two separate sections to this park, the back section located on the back side of the beautiful pond area. We stayed in the front section of the park at the end of a row, which turned-out to be one of the better sites. The bad...the park provides a free wifi hotspot for checking email and surfing the web, but it can only be accessed at the office area. If you want wifi at your site then wifi can be purchased thru a third party provider. We went the extra mile and paid $28 for the streaming package. The wifi sucked. We were never able to stream or open email attachments using their wifi. Sent the wifi provider 3-emails, but never received a response back. We felt totally ripped-off. Other then the bad wifi experience, we enjoyed our stay there and would probably stay again. We'd just be prepared to use our own hot spot instead of paying for a wifi package that never worked! read more

As other have said, this a great base camp for touring the Philly Area. Clean, quiet, and very accessible but not a "destination" campground. That said, it has a nice pool and one of the nicest camp fishing ponds I've ever experienced. I enjoy coming here just to fish for the bass and crappie that inhabit the pond. read more

This campground is now a KOA, and if you are an experienced RV'er you already know that KOAs' are way overpriced, however, this park takes overpriced to new heights. $60+ a night for what? This place has a swimming pool and not much else. It's NOT a resort by any stretch of the imagination. Not a destination park, nothing for kids to do, etc., etc. Also, there seems to be much discontent with the older people who usually spend the summer here visiting children and Grandchildren. The new management won't allow a stay of any more than one month because they can obviously make more money on the day people visiting Philly. Yes, it's true......"greed knows no bounds". read more

We stayed here for about 3 months for a job and I really liked it here! Very friendly staff! Reasonable monthly price! Sell propane at office. I was here for the last part of winter and they kept the road way clean even while it was snowing. The pool area is very clean and nice! I would defiantly stay here again! read more

Terrible experience. Watched like hawks. Rented a cabin in the most remote portion of the campsite and spent the entire time being watched like a hawk by old shrew in RV. We have a 25 pound pug who was on leash and went to greet another dog that came onto OUR campsite and barked to say hello. Owner of dog was sweet and fine. Wish I could leave a picture. 4 seconds later we received a call from the "campground management" saying that our dog "charged" at another dog and was excessively barking. No effort from campground to actually figure out what happened. Here's looking at you 80 year old woman in a black leotard with nothing better to do. Basically a retirement community in the middle of the suburbs with lots of nosy neighbors. Do not come here. Do not come here. Do not come here. Also, not actually free wifi. read more

The absolute worst campground we have ever stayed at. We were so close to the two campers on either side it felt like we were in a parking lot. We didn't even have room to put up our screen tent and if you sat at the picnic table you could bump your head on the guy next door slide out. We don't even have a big trailer. Good thing or our door would have opened into the next RV. The web site advertised a game room and a playground of which they had neither. We were staying for 9 days while our floors were refinished in our house. We had a two year old with us and had to search the area for parks to drive him to so he could play. The internet was terrible. You had to pay for each device, not just an access fee. They kept making you change your password every day and kicking you off. One of the washers in the laundry I used had about a gallon of oily water water in it, obviously not useable. The bathroom had a ton of dead bugs strewn across the counter although the bathroom stalls were fairly clean. All and all it was an experience I never want to repeat. And just a heads up. Take down your web site. It misrepresents your facilities and people with kids definitely won't appreciate it. read more

This is our second time staying at this campground, and I'm sure we'll be back again. Timberlane is a nice, quiet, relaxing campground. It's right off I-295 so it's easy to get to, and it's the closest campground to Philadelphia if you want to go sightseeing. It's also near to grocery stores, a mall, and Camping World. The gravel sites are large and level. When we first checked out the laundry, I thought they were expensive. Then I checked out laundromats in the area, and they're even more expensive. So I stuck with the campground laundry. It was very clean and all of the machines worked fine. read more

It is a swamp. Literally. The ground from the time we got there was wet and sludge-like, like the septic was broken somewhere. daily, the rude owner would drive up and down the aisles and dump stone down, which wasn't even clean fill stone! There was gray water and mud inches deep. The playground was a deathtrap, the game room was three ancient units always turned off and they locked everything but the bathrooms when they left at 9. Propane was expensive, electricity was not only 2o CENTS PER KWH!! but I'm pretty sure was read wrong since my 30 amp rv with 2 tvs used more power than my 200 amp service home does in a month by almost double. (300 dollars). The picnic tables are half rotten, there are no activities of any kind, most of the office staff treats you like a vagrant because the park is mostly used for oil workers temporary housing and it seemed the owner would walk through and evict a few people every week to make room for bigger rvs with higher rates. The EPA should investigate this place, as should his local fie department for health code and ground contamination. Utterly the worst place we ever camped. read more
