They are not common though so if you drive by one when you first get there, I would use it, I did see people bring surfboards and go out in the other sections where people were fishing and you have to have a permit to drive onto the beach, which is done by lottery I heard loads of people coming to Swim but there's more than enough space on the beach that everyone spreads out and you get more than enough room in privacy that you don't even feel all the people that are there. It is not crowded at all and easy to forget that you are not the only person on the beach. Most people in this section of the beach have dogs with them but everyone follows the leash rules and I've never seen anyone not pick-up after their dog. One or two of the parking lots have port-a-potty's and the main two beaches (where you can swim but dogs aren't allowed) have pavilions with restrooms, a cafe, and a beach store.

They have a small arcade. Small gift shop. Pool goes up to 9' with a stiff diving board. (No back flips, bummer). Fishing pond. You can crab/kayak/canoe from rear property access to bay. Accommodations include tent sites, various level RV connections, and cabins. I like the cabin with 2 rooms, bathroom and kitchen the best. Not all kids are free anymore, which could be misleading from the road sit. Kids are free for the seasonal site holder registrants only, and infants. I still come back again and again. The bushes before the site are high so be careful you don't pass the entrance like we almost did a few times (Ok I did once at least). The resort is clean and has a small cute movie theater, activity center (we did not use it), basketball and tennis court. There is a nice size pool and a huge lake which is dog friendly (not a fan of this rule)... The resort has nice seasonal site but the rentals are on the smaller side. The first few nights were felt squashed in with the big RV buses on all sides of us. Once they left it felt a bit roomy with the empty sites. The fire ring is made from cement and kind of sucky. The wood table was worn. The staff was very friendly. The camp store was huge with many items to choose. The ice cream shop had tasty treat and also served good food. We had our bikes so it was easy to bike around the resort especially to the lake. It was quiet in our area during quiet areas (I saw others had issues). A few stores/markets (Aldi, Giant, Starbucks) were nearby so it was easy to run for missing items. Internet was crappy even with my hotspot. I guess it's good as it forced me to relax more but I like having my own option. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year.

The neighboring group blasted bass-heavy music from Friday night through Sunday morning, sometimes beginning around 8 a.m. Their music and conversations included extremely offensive, profane and racist language, even though children were present. Their site grew to approximately four cars and five tents, and their two unleashed dogs repeatedly entered our campsite and bothered our leashed dog. We complained multiple times to the office, security booth and staff, but kept getting passed around. The music would briefly go down and then start again. The same group even brought a huge speaker to the lake, making it impossible to escape the noise. On Sunday morning, Alvin from security finally got them to lower the music and put their dogs away, but they were already preparing to leave. They continued cursing and angrily discussing who had reported them. They were clearly very angry, and the situation became so concerning that I carried mace and nearly called the police. We could not relax, talk, cook or enjoy the campground. I have camped and traveled extensively and have never experienced anything this disruptive or so poorly handled. We will never return.

As tent campers, we had a tent site in the field, which also gave us a little more room to enjoy nature. The restrooms at the field are clean, but the stalls are extremely small that you must do your business with the stall door ajar or you'd touch your face and knees on the door (and I'm a petite person). The office and bathhouse restrooms are far roomier and just as clean. Neighbors are very hit or miss. The staff here are nothing short of amazing. Everyone is friendly and took care of us when we ran into an issue during our first visit. There are enough activities throughout each weekend to keep the kids entertained. Most of all, the beach and lake alone is enough to convince us to visit every summer.

The water is warm.. some campgrounds only have cold water.. The showers are nicely tiled. It's almost like they thought of everything you'd need and installed it in the bath house. 2. Camp Site: although our particular site was small, We were able to make it work & we can't complain because it's what we paid for and the staff was very lenient with where we stored our stuff. We had water and electric which is very nice to have especially in the electronic world we live in today.. We were able charge our phones and wash the dishes we used to cook. 3. Store & Recreation: The store had a lot of stuff for the unprepared camper.. so you shouldn't have to venture too far to get stuff if you forgot something. We were pretty prepared as we were once boy scouts. They sell ice to keep your goods cool and wood for the fire pit at night. They have a playground for children that's in good shape, Volleyball court and stage for events. They aren't too too far from the beaches. We would've been happier if they were closer to the beach but its hard to put a campground near a beach. Overall, If we were to visit New Jersey again, there's a good chance we'd stay here again.. Seasonals have to fix things broken in the camp because management is often not there. one of the sites floods so badly that the people are in past ankles if it rains a lot. There is all kinds of trash behind the dog park along the back fence. The bugs and rodents are horrible. Loud obnoxious behavior in the back of the campground. lack of activities. Rude staff, well , when they are there. The guests are expected to babysit the campground so management can do whatever until they get a call that something is wrong. Store is quite often locked and people have to push a button and wait for someone to come, provided someone is there. So sad it could be a nice place.
