Had a brutal double blowout on HWY 14 in my commercial box truck outside of Rosamond . I contacted several heavy duty towing and roadside services in the area for service with no results. After several very frustrating hours, I was finally recommended to these guys at Pete's. Their service was EXCEPTIONAL! Within minutes of contacting them I had a quote and help on the way. They brought me two replacement tires, repaired the dent in one of my rims, and replaced both tires roadside. They were very timely, professional, and fair! I cannot thank them enough for helping me out of a bad situation after a long and frustrating day. Extra shout out to JP who worked his butt off to get me back on the road ASAP. If you need roadside service - especially for heavy duty or commercial vehicles - look no further. Thank you Pete's!! read more

Tim Wells Mobile Tire Service - Getting New Rubber! 295/75R-22.5 - Tires Near Me - Lancaster, California

Pretty straight forward service. We contacted him over yelp, responded right away. We were able to get next day appointment. We went in for a quote and when we brought it in, he noticed we needed our brakes changed as well so he gave a discount on that since he already had the wheels out to fix what we originally came in for. Normally we would think it's a scam that they'd tell us to fix or change something that we didn't come in for, but I'm glad he brought it up. We haven't changed the breaks for about 4 years now and we drive this car a lot. It's a commuter car and we also take it to Vegas a few times and other parts of California so we knew if we didn't get it done then, it will need to happen sooner rather than later... So glad we got a deal on that and have that service done with already. We've been driving the car for a couple of weeks now and everything is still running peachy. I recommend this place! read more

this place is AMAZING! not only do they have great customer service but their professionalism is second to none! No one wanted to help me with fixing my car cause i had the part on me. i must've went to 4 different places all who were rude and looked at me like they didn't want to be bothered. Patrick, Ray and Dan literally saved me $800! they have a NEW NAME PETES TIRE SERVICE INC! i highly recommend this place! if you need any Tires or even Car servicing read more

Tim and his crew are fast, professional, economical and trust worthy. Their mobile service is so convenient. I had what I thought was 2 flat tires. I called there shop and not only were they the best rates in town but as soon as I asked for the mobile service to put on my spare on for me, they where on the way. Once my spare was on and my other tire was filled with air the associate offered to follow me to the shop. When I arrived they checked both tires and found only one needed repair-they could have had me replace both and I wouldn't have known the difference. They are clearly an honest shop. From the time I called to when both tires where fixed was only 1hr. While I waited I was offered fresh coffee and Tim let me know about there great prices for a full service oil change. This is a great small local business that will for sure be my families new maintenance auto shop. read more

As we were traveling to Mammoth, my son-in-laws RV tire exploded on freeway, we were able to exit freeway near Wendy's. Upon finding Tim's Wells Mobile Tire Service, Tim was at our location within 20 mins., fixed tire & we were on way to their shop to replace all 5 tires on RV. This place provided fantastic customer service, minimal time spent at shop & also they allowed us to have our lunch in lobby of their office, since it was scorching heat outdoors. Once all done, we were on our way with peace of mind, knowing all tires were brand new. We highly recommend this place, they are wonderful!! read more

First, I went in to a competitor of Tim Wells, (Get Tires) and I got a price for these same 4 tires that go to a large stump grinder that I use for my company. These tires were not flat and they were not in terrible condition. However, they did seem a bit dry and iI thought that they were likely creating much more scuff markings on my customers driveways and porches than they should have been making I considered that perhaps this was due to the fact that these tires were likely seven or eight years old, and if I were to purchase non scuffing or newer tires for this machine, it could eliminate or greatly reduce this issue. The rear tires would have been four to six hundred dollars each according to my earlier estimate from Get Tires. The front tires would cost less because they're much smaller. Tim Wells as was the case at Get Tires, I was dealing directly with the owners of both establishments. They both informed me that I couldn't get those tractor tread patterns of the much larger rear tires in non scuffing as non scuffing was more for forklift use and those types of tires are flat surfaced and not available in tractor tread. They both looked it up in their books to verify. Okay, so I asked about just replacing them, thinking newer better quality tires would still be an improvement and reduce the scuffing, I think both companies told me it would't make a significant difference with the scuff issue. Although "Get Tires" was glad to show me tires that were not all that similar to mine, and were more for quads and lawn equipment, because they would need to order from the book to get similar tractor tread matches. I told Get Tires that "I wanted to see if I could get exact matches today, and that if I couldn't, I'd be back later. This is why I ended up at Tim Wells in the first place. in my opinion, these 2 companies (Get Tires and Tim Wells) deal with heavy equipment tires more than any other A.V tire companies do. So I got some high quotes from Get Tires and now it's Tim Wells turn to give me a price. I was a bit surprised when Tim said "I wouldn't waste the money on replacing these if I were you. if these tires you already have are still doing the job, keep using them! Newer tires are still going to scuff and I don't think you'll see that much difference. All tires scuff, you really ought not waste money buying new tires. If they're flat we can just patch these for you" Wow, I kinda felt like I just found about $1000 that I had lost at Get Tires an hour earlier. I would have thought that he would have just said, Like Get Tires did "We can't get these in non scuff, but to replace these will be $four hundred sixty dollars each Etc" But like I said, he told me that replacing these tires was not necessary. So I decided not to replace these rear tires. Wow, I saved nearly $1000 dollars from the Get Tires quote. I did decide to replace the much smaller front tires because one was slowly going flat and these two were a bit torn up. He gave me a very reasonable quote of about 1/2 of what I had heard earlier from his competitor. To get both these fronts, brand new, the exact same type, brand and style would be about $150.00 I made the deal! I then asked him about filling them with foam? He said it was expensive, they could do it, he looked up the size cost, but then said " it makes the tires very heavy, it probably will not be too good for this equipment because it may increase scuffing & make it sink more in mud etc. He convinced me once again that just throwing money at things, isn't always an improvement. He talked me out of spending $400 dollars on filling these with foam. He could have said in both cases, "Yeah, might as well, we can do these for Blah blah blah" and I likely would have spent $1000 to $1400 ordering things that turned out to be no great improvements and possibly counter productive. Tim Well's honesty cost him money, but he was sincere. As I handed over the Visa, I let him know I appreciated his uncanny honesty. I decided right then that I would do what I don't often do, and that was to leave feedback about my experiences that day. I've used Tim Wells and Get Tires many times over the last 18 years. The last time I went to Get tires, it was to just switch one tire to another rim, while doing so the employee punctured my tire and then patched it. What I thought was a $30 service cost me $85. including $35 for the patch.Over my last few visits at each of these two establishment I've learned one thing for certain. One of these two companies values getting every possible dime out of most every service opportunity, and the other values doing what needs to be done without spending unnecessary capital. Both of these two companies have extremely nice employees and owners just the same! I guess i'm just a bit wiser now because i went the extra miles to compare options that day. I was very impressed with Tim's service. I took my RV in for an alignment. To my surprise, they determined it did not need an alignment. They rotated and balanced the tires. Even more, when I found my center hubcap on the 22" wheel came off, they immediately ordered me a brand new one, including a follow-up phone call to make sure I got it. Best service I've received anywhere! I strongly recommend Tim Wells Mobile Tire Service. read more

Umm crazy ! so I call and talk to Tim directly. I need four tires replaced on a toy hauler and he asks when. I tell him and his guy is there right on time. My concern was that the hauler was on a sloped driveway and i wasn't sure how stable it was. No prob, the guy had the old off and the new on in less than an hour. He did a quick assessment and recommended getting my bearings repacked, which I will. He also explained how I could protect my tires from the elements and offered up some other advice as well. Thanks Tim and you'll be seeing me again. VERY professional, a great experience! read more

I just visited Tim Wells Tires in Lancaster. Other people had endorsed him so I figured I'd visit with my horse trailer. I needed the grease on one axle repacked, a new hub cap, and an estimate for a set of tires. A friend had mentioned they can get sets of 50% used tires, which would be great for my trailer (no drive wheels so little tread wear). So they got me in quick this morning and had the axle and hub taken care of in about 40 minutes. They quoted me $25 on the phone and ended up charging $30 at the shop. The real shock was the quote on tires. They flatly don't sell 50% used tires. They only have new tires. So I got their quote on those: $549.52. Then I called Affordable Tires in Palmdale for a price check. For the same exact tires, labor and tax included they wanted $372. So $175 over priced, ouchy. I even mentioned it to them and they just shrugged and didn't care. So in conclusion, first thing in the morning they're fairly fast. On the negative side, they don't honor their phone quotes, they're over priced and don't price match. Oh, and when I got home, the new hub cap had already fallen off some where on the road. Its totally not worth the fuel expense to go back up there to make them do it right. So I am crossing these guys off of my list. I gave them a shot and they failed. read more
