I recently participated in a resume consult with Tim. I thought 15 minutes was not enough time. I…read morewas mistaken. Tim covered more ground in those 15 minutes than I probably do in a 30+ minute run. This was, of course, possible because he requested my resume when I scheduled the appointment. Not only did he review my resume prior to the session, he asked questions about my professional history, learned about my goals, and provided feedback. He provided insight, and persuaded me, to stop trying to scrunch my experience into just one page. He provided many visual examples (definitely appreciated them) and helped me find some key phrasing for describing my strengths. He also explained how I can help the hiring manager see how my current goal to pivot my career is a logical one. In the end, I was provided with a resume template. Honestly? I felt invigorated by the whole process, and ready to take on the world. It allowed me to revamp my resume so that I could finally start applying for new jobs. If you need help with your resume, or struggling to highlight how you excelled at your last role, I would definitely contact Next Jump to aid you.

They will adhere to the integrity of the dress like no one else. But the proprietor really has a personality disorder or something. At best, she is haughty. At worst, she is a hostile snob who acts like she is doing you a huge favor by taking your money. It's a very weird vibe there for a business.

First, the owner refused to give me even a ballpark guesstimate over the phone. I would have understood that it was an estimate and not a quote. Every other business I consulted gave me that courtesy. But I had to visit Moda in person. When I arrived, no one offered me any help in putting on the dress, which is unprofessional for this line of work, and I was honestly sweating once I squeezed into and twisted my bustier around my torso without any help. You know how it goes, ladies. It was annoying but not a big deal. I exited the dressing room sweaty and disheveled. I only needed a hem on a 3-layer polyester dress. Two satin-y liners and one chiffon overlay. No train. The seamstress casually glanced at my dress, and said, "$450." I stifled a laugh, and I just said, "Uh...nevermind." The more I thought about it, I wasn't amused. I was offended. Maybe Moda Donatella was too fancy and too good for my simple, inexpensive wedding dress, so they didn't want my business. Maybe some non-savvy customers would actually consider that a fair price. I honestly have no idea where $450 came from. I'll say it again: FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. I did find another alterations business and had the hem done......for $50. That's fifty. Dollars. It was perfectly done. So, that solidified my intent to review my experience at Moda Donatella. I probably would have paid up to $200 because I'm not too savvy myself, but $450....It had to have been a joke. It was a joke, right?
