My coffee is always made to Tim's standard. They are dumping the old coffee when they are supposed to and brewing the new stuff to the proper temperature. That's how you get the unique taste. There is ONE person there (who is the best ever) who makes my breakfast sandwiches toasted like I like. I like them burnt. Just had the worst experience at this location. The worker in the drive thru literally rushed us through our order impatiently saying "and??" While we decided what our 2 year old wanted. Then at the window when we tried to add on a donut we were told "no we only have 30 seconds to cash you out". I said "are you seriously going to deny my 2 year old a donut?" Like you don't have to make anything just grab it out of the basket. I arrived at 8:20 a.m. and drove out from the drive thru line at 8:30 a.m. I ordered 2 boxes of assorted Timbits, (10 per box) and a iced caramel macchiato for $6. I was also able to use a coupon for the Timbits $1.29 which expires today, on May 31st. Ahead of me was 4 vehicles, but the line did move fast. I have always found this Tim Hortons and the other one on Van Dyke, that's owned by the same person to be one of the best run operations in town. The place is very clean, the pastries are very good and the service is excellent. Everyone there is kind and courteous. The people that congregate there are all enjoying this Tim Hortons every day and I can't understand why anyone would be critical to rate them as average. Last, but not least the owner contributes to the city of Utica by utilizing local employees and others who are learning to become efficient and effective workers , he participates in the local community far beyond most owners. I ordered breakfast there before 10am. I went simple with a sausage breakfast sandwich and hash brown with a coffee. The hash brown was a soggy, sad cold mess. I had my order less than 2 minutes when I pulled it out of the bag, it should have at least been warm but it was actually cold like it wasn't even under a warmer after being fried some time ago. Sandwich is warm, the croissant is toasted but also a bit hard chewy like it had been over-microwaved once the sandwich was assembled. Definitely not made fresh. I was in the mood for an Asiago Cheese bagel, but after looking at the menu board, there was nothing indicating that was an option nor did we see the display of bagels so we could look at them, so I settled again.... for a plain bagel. I also wanted a cold creation, but the price for the one I wanted was nearly $3. No thank you, I'll pass. So I settled again..... for a coffee. While we were eating, we overheard a customer ask if they had cheese bagels and the answer was a yes. What??? Yep, they offer Asiago Cheese bagels! Ok... not a happy camper now. It was Mother's Day, I had just gotten off work, and needing caffeine STAT!! First off, I have to say this location is a nightmare! The lot parking lot itself is so small that it makes for an accident waiting to happen. When patrons are dining inside and patrons are waiting in the drive-thru, it's a jumbled mess of bumper cars in the waiting! I've visited this location for the last time, as I waited over 4 minutes in the drive-thru this last Sunday. While waiting that 4 minutes I didn't move a hair- yet I was almost hit twice, had some rude jerk honk at me once and I had to honk my horn once at some impatient human who was in a hurry to exit the matchbox size parking lot at 60MPH. The traffic builds up off both Van Dyke, and 21 Mile Road, and is just a literal accident waiting to happen at busy hours- and even just at a 2pm in a random Tuesday! When I found a safe way to exit the drive-thru line that last visit (you see I hadn't move 1 hair- I wasn't"committed" to the line where I couldn't escape), I carefully exited back onto 21 Mile. As I turned right onto Van Dyke I had to patiently wait as a car was sticking rear out, trying to pull in this same Tim Hortons. This place a cluster fudge, you know what I mean! Pretty disappointed honestly. I went in got a medium coffee triple triple with a shot of vanilla, and a BLT sandwich. First thing I do when I get my drink is obviously take a sip. Noticed it definitely wasn't a triple triple, and no shot of vanilla. Then I get home to eat my sandwich and I notice there's literally like NOTHING on it. Maybe 2 pieces of bacon and very little lettuce and the lettuce was all brown and slimy, with little to no mayo. This place is honestly a joke, if you pick that job, make sure you do it right. The staff is unpleasant. There are two different women who are rude, right when you pull up to the drive thru window. I've heard "what do you want".. To the person who talked about chairs being stacked: Could they have been mopping the floors and moved the chairs until it was dry? To the cheese bagel lady: Did you ASK? To the reviewer who slammed the staff for being overweight, SHAME ON YOU! That is a personal attack and I hope the staff was not bothered by the words of this ignoramus. They are just words.
