The chai latte was ok but that's not what the problem was at the Troy, MI location. I paid with a debit card and never got a receipt! They told me after I called back later that day that it was my "responsibility" to ask for one! Huh?NOOOO, it's not!! That is a basic cashier skill, like taking in money or counting back change. If the customer doesn't want one, they can always say they don't need it. But only after it's offered by the cashier. Who teaches and trains their employees to provide this type of customer service? The nicest staff I've experienced at a coffee shop. Great food every time - I LOVE the tuxedo muffin. This last trip a young man offered a pup cup for our dog and wished us a great day in the sunshine! :) I particularly like the 23 Van Dyke location as it is quick and easy to get to/from! so far every time I've been here it's been great. however this time I went and it was less than enjoyable. the boba was weirdly mixed and barely any of it. they gave me the wrong straw so the boba won't go through it. Dropped some of my change and didn't say anything about it. the bragel sandwich looked like they had Superman slap the life out it. I havent been to a Biggby in several years but I remembered it being good in the past. I was enticed by a buy one get one free coupon they had online. I ordered a hot chocolate and a regular coffee. I wish i just trusted my gut and went to tim hortons. The coffee had no flavor at all even with the cream and sugar. It was like drinking sad warm water. My son is 6 and enjoys anything sweet so he liked the hot chocolate but it was not hot. Lukewarm at best. For almost $6 even with the coupon, i expect better. DISGUSTING AND UNSANITARY. I decided to give this place another try despite being disappointed multiple times. Today was the icing on the cake - or the coffee on the steering wheel if you will. I was handed a leaky cup which I thought was the result of overfilling. No, it was a completely faulty cup held together by TAPE! See attached photos. This got all over my car and my outfit. Someone literally stuck their dirty finger to patch up this 3 cent cardboard cup. This is flat out DISGUSTING and UNSANITARY. Stay away from this dirty place. Wonderful experience here. Unlike the one on Long Lake or Hayes, this location has a drive-thru which I like. However I went inside and drank my honey lavender iced coffee. YUM! Not super strong on the lavender or honey. It was delicious. I also ordered the ham and cheese everything bragel. That was pretty tasty also. It didn't have a lot of ham or cheese, but it was sufficient. It had cream cheese in it, which helped the sandwich not be super dry. But what really stood out what the person behind the counter - Cameron was amazing! He was so personable and friendly. He recommended some items and said what he doesn't like (I appreciate that honesty). He even walked over to the table to bring my food, which I haven't had done at another location before. read more

I want to like this place because it's on my way to work and really close to my house. (I am only reviewing the McMillan and Locust Grove location.) I've tried them 3 times, each time trying something different. The staff are very nice but they were extremely slow and the drinks were not nearly as good as other coffee places. I also don't appreciate being asked by the employee if I'd like to leave a tip. Awkward and uncomfortable!! Please try to improve so I want to come back!!! read more

I enjoy Bigby drinks.. I always want to try and avoid extra calories by adding 'skim milk' or 'no whipped cream' but I don't and enjoy the sugar rush that comes with. I was a bit confused with the drive thru part of this Bigby (I was frantic and thought coffee instead of whiskey would calm my nerves after waiting almost an hour on Van Dyke so I was driving fast and not paying attention). Once I found the drive thru window, it was easy peasy after that and the barista was very friendly and welcoming. I have to admit Bigby workers are the friendliest. read more

So, sometimes when I go to a coffee house I just want to set in a nice clean room with good service and hot coffee. Yea that's not this place. The room is tired and not comfortable. The area carries every sound and the two woman at the far end of the room voice carried to every part of the room. Ok, so that happens right? But the flys were making me nuts. If the line at Tim Horton's is wrapped around the building, I venture over to this Biggby. Yes, Biggby has WAY better coffee than Tims. However, snaking into the old K-Mart parking lot is kind of a pain. Also, the chick in the drive thru is very annoying with trying to upsell. Everyday I get asked the SAME questions. Do I want an extra shot of espresso, a larger size, a muffin, a shot of chocolate syrup? NO. I just want a BLACK COFFEE. After the third day in a row, I just get pissed. But my last experience would have to be called "good help is hard to find" I had a coupon for a .99 latte and ordered it very specifically at the drive thru. I gave the girl at the window my gift card and was charged $4. When I asked why I was told they made me a large but I could keep the coupon and use it again. She handed me the large latte, and I tried to give her my gift card to be adjusted since I had ordered the 16 oz. as specified on the coupon. She said "Well they made you a large" then closed the window and turned her back to me. I wasn't going to pursue the matter since there were cars behind me, but I will if it happens again. read more

I'm updating this review as the store is under new management and has just reopened.. Everything that I've said previously still applies, but I'm adding a couple of things. The new staff is super friendly and makes everyone feel very welcome. I stopped in to catch up on some studying, but I left after a short time because the music was REALLY loud. I know that the store isn't a library, but it was very distracting. They also need to step down the upsell. No, I don't want to upgrade to a grande. No, I don't want another shot of espresso. No, I don't want any baked goods. Suggest ONE thing and then move on, please. Good coffee and selection of coffee drinks. Probably would give them five stars if there was a better selection of food and snacks. Prices are probably a bit higher than the competing Starbucks or Caribou, but there are always coupons in Valpack or the newspaper that will bring the cost of a grande down. Rewards card is good -- 12 buys gets you a free drink of your choice and size, but you can't use it if you're using a coupon. Seems like a fair trade off. read more

Today, when I went in around 8:30 am, there was a group of approx 10 middle aged men all gathered around a table next to the cream and sugar. They were all holding hands and looked from afar like a seance going on but after purchasing my coffee and pouring the cream and sugar, I observe that prayer was in session then these guys start preaching together. How totally weird to turn Biggby into a personal bible school. This should not be allowed. I am turning around and walking out if I see this happening again.
