For the fall I decided to try the Pumpkin & Hazelnut Chai Latte. When you put cinnamon on top it tastes just like a Gingerbread cookie! I also ordered a gingerbread cookie shaped like a flower basket from @gbcookiescompany. Pricing is more or less the same as before the move. The ceilings are much higher in the new space. The outdoor patio is now more private and serene. There were only two people working the til and making drinks so sevice is slower than a Tim's style joint. The coffee is decent - but nothing really to write home about. Just a standard latte, nothing memorable. HOWEVER, the ham and cheese croissant is probably one of the best I've had in a while. The front part, especially, is a good place to bask in the rays. They seem to offer a few food choices for breakfast and lunch, but since I was just looking for a place to hang out for 90 minutes, I was going to be "minimal patron". I thought about another coffee, but decided against it, since I already had double the caffeine I usually consume before noon, I opted for the "cheapest" choice, in the form of a Perrier. Cha-ching and "ouch" and $3.74 later (OK it's CAD, but still), I'm left wondering whether I could have made a better choice: as in, a cookie and that bottle of water I had with me?

There are a number of tables to enjoy your treats and beverages as well as wifi if you'd like to get some work done. The café uses Pilot Coffee beans as well. I stopped by Paper Route Café on a Monday late morning to grab a cortado. I also ordered a banana coconut oat muffin. The coffee shop only had a few customers and service was friendly where my coffee was made at a reasonable time. I sat down to enjoy my coffee as well as enjoy the space. As the sunlight filtered through the big windows at the front, the brightness of the café filled me with happiness. Such a cute wonderful place to spend some time alone, with friends, or with family. I ate the muffin later in the day for snack and it was moist and delicious with hints of coconut that didn't overpower the other flavours of the muffin. It will be revitalized for the next two years. Many businesses have shuttered for good. This one and its sister business, Bakery on the Go, were still open when I was there. At this store, when I walked in, I could tell that it was about to shut down. Most fridges that housed cold drinks were gone. There were still patties in their keep-warm display case. I also saw sausage rolls, which I loved. The woman there was friendly. Both the cafe and bakery accept cash and debit cards only. This place had hot foods and sandwiches. If you needed to kill some time, you could also grab a decent meal or snack here. It's bittersweet seeing businesses affected by the demolition. The woman let me know that there's a Cafe on the Go at Islington station. I may venture over there for my sausage roll and patties fixes. I may go on a subway reminiscing tour.
