Did a trip to Vancouver / Richmond this past summer, and of course our first stop had to be Tim Hortons! We stayed in Richmond, and this location was just a short walk away. If only we had this in the US -- the sheer number of value options makes it the perfect first stop for anyone starting their day in Canada, local or tourist alike. Even at 9 a.m. on a Friday, the place was already bustling. You can order at the counter or through two convenient self-serve touch-screen tablets. - Boston Crème Donut -- perfectly doughy bite with a smooth custard cream inside; cooled chocolate frosting on top that's not overly sweet - Canada Day Donut -- festive red and white stars with pink and white sprinkles, a fun themed donut celebrating Canada Day - Bacon, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich -- hot off the press; juicy egg, crispy bacon, and a warm English muffin holding it all together - Iced Caramel Coffee -- balanced caramel drizzle, refreshing and chilled just right - Hot Latte -- smooth and comforting, ideal after a late-night flight Despite the morning rush, service was quick and efficient. We ordered at the kiosk then waited for our food at one of the many tables Brown sugar iced latte: 2/5 this was super sweet and syrup-y and I didn't like it. It made me thirsty for water bc the brown sugar flavor was so strong Caramel churro ice cap: 3/5 this was just ok to me overall. Also super sweet but I like the ice cap part Timbits: 3/5 these were just ok. Some of them were more doughy than others. It's my first time in Canada so we had to try Tim Hortons and it turns out they have another collab with Justin Bieber, so of course, we had to get in on that. The TimBiebs includes the flavors chocolate white fudge, sour cream chocolate chip, and birthday cake waffle. They were all pretty good! The regular TimBits were average...also because they gave us just one flavor for some reason. That made it a bit dull. The Biebs Brew is a cold brew with French vanilla flavor and some cream. The cold brew was nothing special, but I had to get my coffee fix as well and I enjoy vanilla in my coffee. Overall, it was a good try, I wouldn't mind visiting again if I'm in Canada again to try some of stuff. read more

I've always heard that Tim Hortons was like the Dunkin Donuts of Canada. As a donut lover, I knew I had to try them out. They have a fair amount of savory and sweet choices. I got several donuts along with some donut holes (Timbits). Big fan of the donut holes! All their donuts were pretty good, I would say standard. Wasn't disappointed, wasn't mind blown. My partner got an Americano and it tasted like standard, cheap, quick coffee. Bar was low for it, and it definitely did not exceed expectations. Also, I'm not sure if it was a Canadian thing, but they charged us for a water cup. When I asked for more water, they gave us tap water. Also they have wifi! Visit at least once in your life, probably not frequently. read more

My friends call this the "Canadian Dunkin Donuts," so I was really excited to try. I think the drinks are decently priced and the wait time is relatively short. However, I ordered an original ice capp (similar to a frozen coffee), but was told they could not make any. I ended up ordering their seasonal s'mores drink, but my friend was able to order the original ice capp immediately after me. Nonetheless, I visited on another day. This time, the employee apologized for making my drink too watery, but didn't offer to remake it. A visit to Canada is truly not complete without a visit to the Tim Hortons chain (yes I always go to Tim Hortons when in Canada). This particular Tim Hortons is located in the same plaza as Michael's (right across from it), Petsmart and Pier 1 Imports, with a large parking lot. My husband and I stopped by this location this past Monday, around 3 pm. It was actually pretty busy, but there were still a few tables available. After browsing the menu board and display case, I ended up ordering: Timbit, 10 pack, $2.29 prior to tax- I love the donut holes here and think they are very cheaply priced. I always love ordering the timbit and will always get the assorted flavors so that I can try different flavors. Double Chocolate Cookie- My husband was in the mood for a chocolate cookie and thought it was good. Boston Cream- My husband also wanted a donut with cream inside, thus picked this donut. He thought it was good as well. --------------------- (Total= $4.39 CAD or $3.38 USD, after tax) WiFi was rather slow, but easy to get on. I liked that there were outlets available along the wall at selected tables. It was nice that there was also USB outlets available for those that needed to charge up their mobile devices. During our visit, it was interesting to see that patrons just sat down and hung out, enjoying their beverage and baked good(s) (bagels are also available for purchase). That isn't something you see as common in Starbucks. Starbucks patrons tend to either come to study or just grab and go more than chat and stay awhile (yes there is that too, but not as much as in Tim Hortons, something that I realized at this particular visit). This particular Tim Hortons location has a drive thru in case you are in a hurry and do not want to get out of your car. Overall, had a good experience. read more

One does not simply come to Canada without trying Tim Horton's. That's like going to California and not having In-N-Out. It's an atrocity. With that said, I wish I could say I came out with a 5-star experience, but there was a lot left to be desired. I came through drive thru on an afternoon Friday and the lines were not very long from what I could see. I ordered my food, got to the payment window, paid for my food with Google Pay, and sat there for a good ten minutes waiting for a mocha latte to come out. I could overhear in the background, "dude, we're out of sugar, come here real fast!" well, the mocha latte came out and it was sloppy; chocolate syrup covered all over the outside of the cup, which the cashier tried to hide by putting a sleeve on. Just overall, sloppy. However, onto the good things! The mocha latte tastes really fucking good, which made up for the 2-star experience, rightfully earning back a 3/5. The coffee taste is smooth, and just the right amount of sugar to balance out the natural bitters that come with coffee. I just wish the drink had came out faster, and that service were a little better. As far as things to eat, I got a pecan butter tart, which came out really fast (ahead of the coffee) but it tastes, er... Plain. Like it's not bad, but nothing to die for either. All in all, I got Tim Horton's as a mandatory task of coming to Canada. If and when I come back I'm going straight for the donuts to pair with the coffee. One thing I really like about Timmy's is that all locations (I think?) are open 24h. Therefore there are ALWAYS options for late-nite coffee. The place is clean, and there is plenty of seating. What I like about this location is that because it's away from No.3 Road, you don't get hordes of students jamming up the place. In fact, I only saw 2 students here in total. read more

I've ordered from this Tim Hortons several times over the past several years when in the area; it is a fast food franchise so obviously not something exceptional or unique but of all the Tim Hortons I've been to in Metro Vancouver, this is one of the most consistent and well-ran Tim Hortons. The service is always friendly and personable. The food is always fresh. Even their donuts are fresh late in the night; have you tried stale donuts? Horrible. Thankfully I had ordered an assorted 6 pack (promo) late at night recently, and each one was fluffy and fresh. The food and bagels are also fresher than other franchises. The staff seem to be caring and friendly - I like to maximize my value admittedly (with the loyalty program) so when previously Tim Hortons loyalty program was 10 points per order every 30 minutes, I'd split my order into several orders if I expect to be picking it up in the area. (So like instead of ordering two bagels w/ cream cheese & bacon & tomato + half a dozen donuts for myself... I'd order one bagel w/ cream cheese & bacon & tomatoes set for pick-up 20 minutes later, then order another bagel w/ cream cheese & bacon & tomatoes, then order half a dozen donuts 30 minutes later LOL.) Anyways, the staff were very friendly and knew I had the habit of doing so when in the area so they wanted to wait for me to arrive before preparing the food to ensure it's fresher and for food safety. Of the donuts, the coconut old fashion glaze is delicious. I used to default to getting the Boston Cream or Canadian Maple but maybe Tim Hortons changed the recipe, their Canadian Maple is sweeter than I imagined that it became a little overwhelming sugar (maybe a good combination with a black coffee) but their coconut old fashion glaze (in the recent half a dozen assorted donuts) was delicious and just the right sweetness and spice. The fragrance from the coconut and spice in the old fashion really balance out the sweetness perhaps. Anyways, basically a very well ran Tim Hortons franchise where you can expect the donuts and products to be fresh. (at least the freshest I've observed across Metro Vancouver.) They're open 24 HRs too for drive through so that may explain why their donuts even at 10 Pm are fresher than other Tim Hortons who stop baking fresh preparing for closing. (Often times at other Tim Hortons if you order donuts past 8 Pm, you might get a rock or stale bread basically... if you're going to take up your sugar & carbs quota, may as well ensure it's fresh lol - I've observed the donuts are always fresh here. I'm curious why Tim Hortons set timers for their coffees - which coffee is good even if brewed earlier in the day... the caffeine doesn't escape... but not their donuts where moisture can escape. No trip to Canada is complete without at trip to Tim Horton's. We stopped at this one because it was near our hotel. The price is right: 6 donuts, 2 milks, 1 OJ for about $8 US. However, the donuts really aren't that great. They are a little hard on the outside, and not much on the inside. And the beady colored sprinkles are awful - really hard and you can taste the dye, it's bitter. Nice staff though, easy access location. read more

I LOVE TIM HORTONS! It was our absolute favorite breakfast place (we went every morning) on our Vancouver trip. Especially the Honey Cruller Timbits. That in itself is worth the 5 stars. Tim Horton's is way better than any donut shop in the USA with exception of possibly Krispy Kreme, but this place has way more choices of donut holes. I also tried a strawberry blossom donut and it was pretty good too. It was one of the summer specials. The 99 cent hash browns are good too. I really can't give them any less than 5 stars. We got in late at night and just wanted to eat and get to the hotel to crash. They're open 24 hours and have a great menu with lots of options (everything sounds good ALL the time). My friends ordered and their cards weren't working for whatever reason. They gave them the food anyway, which is amazing. The service is always excellent, the donut/baked goods selection is awesome. It's just unfortunate that my first experience here was tarnished by a crazy man that thought I was talking to/cursing at him and he got defensive and insulting. He was nuts. This place is the coffee and donut staple of Canada. They also serve some sandwiches which are pretty decent tasting themselves. On this trip I got an iced coffee, honey glazed donut and turkey Blt sandwich. The iced coffee was horrendous. It was super super sweet. The donuts are delicious. They are very thick and yeasty but soft at the same time. Dunkin donuts needs to take a hint. And the sandwich was pretty good. Tim Horton's is Canadian equivalent of Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. And probably a little bit better than their southern counter parts. Just about every Canadian I know speaks highly of Tim Horton's (and even some Americans who've had several Canadian road trip vacations). Their donuts are a cross between a raised and a cake donut - probably a good middle ground for someone who is indecisive about what kind of donut they like. We didn't get piping hot fresh donuts (which always makes for a good donut), but they didn't hit our stomachs like a ton of bricks afterwards either. The coffee was okay too - drip, but fresh. Is Tim Horton's great? No. But is is a part of Canadiana, so you've got to try them out. read more

My boyfriend and I always stop at this location (last one before we go back to Seattle) to pick up coffee for the road and a dozen donuts. I DREAM OF TIM HORTONS DONUTS. They are so delicious, and it's amazing how you can get a dozen for about $6. You can't beat that, and they are consistently good. I love chocolate glazed, and I wish we would have Tim Hortons here in Seattle. One can only dream. read more
