This place is amazing. I didn't know it existed until very recently, and now it will likely become…read morea staple on my way through Barrie. Their doughnuts are great, and baked in house right away. This means that if you're waiting for something at opening, you may have to wait a few extra minutes. For examples, their dipped donut holes were the last thing to come out when I was there. And, their dipped doughnut holes are the way to go, if you want a box with a variety of flavours. You could eat one of their four dollar doughnuts, and if you do - have the strawberry cream - but each of them is the size of two or three doughnuts from any other place. This isn't a four dollar doughnut that leaves you feeling empty, it's a four dollar doughnut that leaves you wondering how you're possibly going to finish eating it! But, the doughnut holes, the dipped ones, they're amazing. They're the right size to eat a variety, and not feel overfull. The thing that terrifies me is they have so many savory options, too. How am I supposed to eat everything I want? I'll need to make a number of return trips. And, they're dairy free. Which is great for allergies, and lifestyle choices. Love it. Love it. Love it!

We went last weekend, it was a lot of people and kids there. This is a huge farm that lots of…read morevarieties to pick. Now it's a good time to pick strawberries, raspberry, blueberries, peas, and corns. There are wagons to take ppl from one field to another. We got off at the strawberry field, but we don't really into the strawberry, so just took a look; then we got to the raspberry field, they looked good, but we barely eat raspberry; then we went to the Blueberry field, our destination was here. We saw another side of the field was having big blueberries, but they didn't open that side to us. And they said it was noon already, most of the big ones had been picked. I tasted a few, they were sort of big, but soured. We moved to other sides, but still the same. When we went home, most of them we made smoothies with honey. We also went to the peas field, not too many people. The peas were so sweet that we could eat them raw. But we went home to boil them with the skin, the skin was hard to eat, it was not snow peas, and too expensive when weighed with the skin. Good experience for the kids. They were happy.

It was an alright experience visiting the farm. Coming from Markham, we wanted to explore a…read moredifferent farm than the ones we go to around our area or in Stouffville for a change. Unfortunately, the 1.5 hour drive to Barrie hill farms wasn't worth it. The market had a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and baked goods, most of which are higher priced than competitors. We bought some nectarines and an apple pie, which didn't taste that fresh and resembled those from the supermarket. The highlight was the blueberry scones, which was fresh and made with Barrie hill fruits. As others mentioned, admission to pick your own area is $7 per person on weekends, and the price is in addition to the picking, which were $19 for a bag of apples. Not a fan of the prices, and the quality of fruits and baked goods could be better compared to other farms I've been to.
