I have been wanting a place that serves food with gluten free options and serves grass fed beef,with drinks that don't have all kinds of sugar and who knows what else added to it. I moved to Brown st in July and passed Tilly's to get to where I park my car and always wondered what kind of place it was. We had a snow storm and my car was completely buried in snow and unfortunately I don't have a shovel and I saw a gentleman that was getting out of his car and asked if he had a phone and if he would be willing to allow me use his phone to call my Dad to get unburied My Dad didn't answer, so I asked the gentlemen if he happened to have a shovel I could use he said he did in his shop and he went to Tilly's and gave me a shovel to use. Nice to see that trust and generosity hasn't died. I was able to unbury my car and get to work. A few days later I was wanting something quick and something decent to eat so I decided to see what kind of food Tilly's offered and was pleased to find that they offer gluten free options and that they have grass fed beef. I tried their classic burger and it was good. A few days later I tried the chief Chris's burger, that was even better! However today I tried their grilled cheese with gluten free bread hands down the best soooooo good!!! The jam they use on there is delicious!!! Best grilled cheese I ever had!!! I also had the roasted garlic potatoes very good just need to ask for them lightly done otherwise they are to dry and seasoned this time they were perfect!!! I also got the apple cider, yummy!!! Reminded me of my childhood sipping apple cider at Grandma's. I definitely recommend Tilly's if your looking for gluten free options with a taste of home. read more

I LOVE this new Coffee House. It serves seriously great cappuccinos and the food is delicious. I had the grilled zucchini sandwich and my brother had the breakfast biscuit. Both were fresh and yummy. I had such a lovely time leaving this shop! My favorite part was using the bathroom. Me and my friends ordered a couple of drinks that sounded tasteful. This was our second choice after Northern coffee grounds was closed. I should have gone home instead of wasting my money on liquefied donkey shit. One of our drinks were made wrong and we went back to have it fixed. To our surprise, they made it worse. Dunkin is just down the street by the way. read more

Stopped here due to a recommendation from Joe's Pasty. First of all it's good to see a business that is taking the right precautions about the covid. Most importantly, the selections my wife and I made were both excellent. We now have another spot to stop at when we head north for skiing this winter. We should all patronize businesses that are trying there best to protect their customers. read more

We're from out of town and we decided to have brunch. Found Tilly's on Yelp and decided to venture over. They had some restrictions due to COVID-19 but really managed the restaurant well. Food served as it was prepared and quality was perfect. Service was also great given the circumstances of the pandemic. We left very happy. read more

Wonderful coffee shop & organic cafe in downtown Rhinelander. Stopped in for a cold drink and a quick bite on a hot summer day. Incredible atmosphere and our grilled cheese was fantastic. I visited Tilly's when it first opened for a non-dairy latte (as I have food allergies), and received an adequate example for about $4.50. The surroundings were beautiful, and I made plans to come back to try the food. I had stopped in last week to make sure they could accommodate a vegetarian as well my food allergies for a friend's birthday lunch. They assured me they could, so today was the day! Unfortunately, there was only one menu which was already in use by the foursome before us, so we got a plain coffee and tea for $6.50. Coffee tasted very stale at 11:00 am, and the tea was merely adequate. When we finally got a menu we made our selections: soup and salad and soup and sandwich for $26.50. The food was awesome! Delicious and a suitable amount. Although we paid for a bottomless cup of coffee we had to ask for more coffee and more water for the tea. We got the impression that they meant to take orders, not to give service. Although the food was very good, I would expect stellar service for a $33.00 lunch. read more
