We noticed the banquet room in the back was very nice but we had a small party so we sat at a large table up front. They brought the food out on plates, family style. I must say it didn't disappoint! The food was served hot and it was phenomenal. We got the roasted chicken which was juicy and flavorful. The pasta and sausage was the best I've ever had... there was something about the hearty sauce that made it phenomenal. And we also got the perch, which was very good. Finally, we got the Italian beef, which was tender and juicy. Unfortunately, I live 2000 miles away, because if I didn't, I would be here a lot!!

Not bad, but nothing that really stood out. Got two bowls. Got home and my order wasn't right. Just never went back. The taste of the food was fine, but for the price, I know of at least 2-3 soul food restaurants with outstanding food for a lot less. I should also mention that during the week they offer sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, salads and egg rolls. I went on another occasion and bought a few egg rolls (one was the Reuben (or something like that). It came with like a sweet and sour sauce or something similar. I asked for another type of sauce and the lady acted like she was annoyed. I gave them a couple of chances and felt a little let down both times.
