I'm doing a remodel project in my house which includes removing the tile flooring in all areas except bedrooms which have new carpet and bathrooms that have new porcelain tile floors all of which I had installed recently.
Absent personal experience with a contractor or trade I rely on trusted friend's recommendations and/or online reviews at sites like Yelp and Google to evaluate and select services. I had a recommendation for one floor demolition company and I found Tile Ram online. After reviewing estimates I decided to go with Tile Ram based on all their 5 star reviews and that they do not require a dumpster for tile flooring removal(they use a truck trailer). The HOA in my neighborhood wants at least a couple of weeks to review and approve dumpster requests and they charge a $500 non-refundable deposit for a dumpster. I wanted to avoid both.
Tile Ram , Will, was in communication with me from start to finish. The Tile Ram team arrived on time (8:00am) the scheduled day and went to work. I was not going to be home during this work but I left the AC on to provide a cooler environment for the crew. They turned the AC off to prevent dust from clogging my furnace/air filters or getting in my ductwork. Extremely thoughtful of them in my opinion. They moved the large furniture that I had left in place as I was unable to move everything out of their way. They estimated the job would take 1 to 11/2 days to complete and they worked long and hard to complete it in a single day. They spent hours cleaning, vacuuming and removing the plastic they used to cover everything for protection. The contractor I'm using for the remodel project told me Tile Ram was doing a great job when he went to the house to check on the floors. Today, post completion, my friend walked through the house during a FaceTime call with me and we both thought it looked great. Overall I'm really happy with my decision to use Tile Ram and I thank them, their team and Google/Yelp reviewers for the recommendation. read more
