This is a great little family restaurant. We ordered butter chicken, garlic naan, and tandoori chicken. Excellent flavors. The rice is fragrant and delicious. The butter chicken was the star: full of flavors, very mild heat, creamy and very fulfilling. I read the negative reviews on Yelp and can only say we were very happy with our whole meal and experience. Fresh Indian food is not fast food and if you frequent any of the local restaurants, you are already prepared for it to take a minute. Well, I wanted to try something new and I can say, it was a new experience. Let's start off with Service. Room for improvement for sure. I've never had a waiter answer a call mid way from ordering. I found it odd but after a while, it made sense. I think a bulk of their business comes from takeout orders since I was the only there dining in. No water refill even after giving eye contact (awkward) Now for the food. I ordered momos as an appetizer, garlic naan, chicken tikki masala w/rice and aloo golbi. The food was great. I loved that some of their non- veg dishes automatically come with rice rather to have order it separately. The moms were the only thing I found to be dreadful. Way too much cumin added and the sauces were questionable. It came with ketchup and ranch and I thought it came with some sort of Asian sauce like a sesame sauce or ginger chili. Other than that, would I dine in again? No. I would just stick to doing takeout. Price was reasonable too. read more

Never again never again never again. Cashier keeps going into the restroom with her gloves on and comes out with them on and walks back to the kitchen every time .... Damn that gross me out. Absolutely delicious! I've heard the chef is from Bombay, so the spice and flavor is a bit different than other Indian restaurants in this area. Every time I have passed by this place in the past, there was a "temporarily closed" sign posted in the window. They're finally open! We were greeted warmly and invited to pick any table we wanted. We started with the Fish Pakora. It was fresh, tasty, and one of the highlights of the meal. We made a point to finish this off because it probably would not have made the best leftovers compared to what else we ordered. Then came the tandoori chicken and the lamb curry, with some garlic naan. The tandoori chicken was good, but the lamb curry was even better. Nice meaty chunks of lamb that weren't too bony. I loved the garlic naan, would have ordered more if I weren't already full. The owner is very friendly and attentive. I'll be back again. read more

We ordered some food thru door dash from Tikki Indian Restaurant and we ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chowmin burger, garlic naan, and plain naan, and mango lassi. This will be the last time we order from them... we have been ordering from Tikki for the last year and it has been hit and miss. Sometimes it's a great food experience and then others it's mediocre. We have had more better experiences with their food but today it was just bad. The burger and the mango lassi was ok but the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were bad. The butter chicken sauce didn't taste like any butter chicken we have had from them before or other Indian food places . The Chicken tikka masala sauce tasted like Italian canned tomato's, was really greasy and the sauce had separated and it was not good. We threw the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala away because it was pretty bad and we are currently not feeling well. Decent little hole in the wall restaurant. I love the fact that most entrees already come with rice, and they are more affordable when compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. My family and I were here for the County Fair and tried this restaurant. The food flavors were very different from the typical restaurants flavors in Bay Area. I will drive there to have a different flavor experience that is so much more tastier too. They are/were limited in quantities of what they had, and primarily seemed to be a take out place. The person serving was very busy as she was on the phone and helping out the dine in customers. Despite all these things, the over all experience was extremely good. We had all vegetarian food and it was great. I would recommend this to anyone who wants new flavors and tastes different from usual restaurant taste. read more

I ordered the chicken tikka masala and a few other items. The prices are reasonable and a bit cheaper than other Indian restaurants I've been to. The flavor was tasty for the chili potato fries with some spicy as well as for the chicken tikka masala that I ordered in spicy. The seating is a little on the smaller side as there are only four tables inside. read more

Today is January 16 ,2024 When I went in around 2:15 today, I noticed 3 things: I was the only customer, the TV was blaring loud and the restaurant was very cold. I ordered the lunch special and a cup of hot tea (to combat the cold temperature). I waited 45 minutes before asking when would the food and hot tea be served. I was told it would be another 5 minutes. I decided not to stay. I could not smell anything being cooked and the hot tea was not brought to my table. I was shivering. I went to the counter and told the wait person I was not going to stay because I had already waited 45 minutes. Even though I was not served any food or the hot tea, I offered to pay anyway. The wait person willingly took my money. I was charged the full price of the lunch and hot tea (neither of which I never received). He even charged me for sales tax. I can't comment on the food. Nasty and gross. I ordered Kulche and Sholay. Which is like Naan and Spiced Garbanzo beans. I got sesame seed buns with potatoes, onions and spices. They tried to argue with me that this is what I ordered. I demanded a refund and then I was told to never come to their shop because i corrected them about their mistake and what real Indian food looks like. Save your money and time. I noticed that this spot opened up about a week ago and had to give it a try. My husband and I LOVE Indian food and we've tried all the restaurants around, and this one definitely met our standard. This place had some of the best appetizers ever and the naan was top tier. Everything was fresh and made to order. Some favorites were the chicken pakora, chicken tikka masala, lamb curry, and mango lassi. They also have an extensive vegetarian menu that is bursting with flavor. Also, portions were generous in size. The owner is extremely friendly and accommodating; honestly, we would go back just for him and his awesome vibes.
