This is the 3rd time in 5 years (thanks to 2 years of Covid). JZ (John and his lovely assistant) with 3 cancelations due to Covid and having to change venues also, they kept us abreast of everything! Things happen that are just out of a humans control and Johnny managed to go above and beyond to make things right! I can't imagine having to deal with the crap that us as humans dealt him as if it was his fault! Yet he managed to make everyone that he talked to on March 26 and 27 feel as if they were the one and only person there! I come from Ohio just for these performances and will continue to do so with JZ! Just a side note we are all human and we all deserve kindness!

Today, Monday July 11, 4 days before the event my group received a phone call from JZ tours. We are getting a partial refund because many of the advertised perks are not being offered. Money or partial refund is not what was important. Offering what was advertised months ago when purchased is what really masters when different traveling options were available. Previous advertisement to book with JZ tours: (in May) Full Tailgate food EJ the DJ playing 1:00 bus departure 4 days before event JZ Tours changed itinerary: No tailgate at all No music at all 4:00 bus departure Regardless of situation, as a business some compromise could have been made. Early bus w/ food? Music and bus? I've been a customer of JZ Tours for the past 6 years. I informed my group I have no intention of leaving 3 hours later than advertised with no amenities or compromises being offered. I feel horrible I recommended them! I will never give JZ Tours another dime of my business and will make it a point through voice, text, email, and social media to discourage anyone who would like to travel with them. The explantation for the loss of perks was weak at best, however no attempt at remedy of situation occurred. JZ Tours simply pushed the departure time back and issued a partial refund. If this is how they conduct business, then they have offended me and many others. They do not deserve my or other people's money and business!

Since I moved to NYC, I've been taking the Martz bus to visit my family in Scranton pretty regularly. Let's say 6 round trips per year. I have never had any type of issue. I don't think the bus has ever been even ONE MINUTE late leaving Scranton or leaving PABT. While you do get a nice mix of working professionals from the stops in the Poconos, your stereotypes about *who* is taking the bus if not traveling for work are going to be pretty accurate. Is it painful to pay $133.99 to have to sit next to someone who spends the whole trip eating and talking on their phone? Yes. Have I witnessed people drink personal alcohol on the bus? Yes. Did I once witness a man--while on the moving bus--call Martz customer service (rather than speaking to the driver) to ask for the bus to be stopped due to cosmetic damage on the bus's exterior? Yes. Still, these people are greatly outnumbered by respectful commuters. It's not perfect, the price is way higher than you'd expect, but it gets the job done. The peace of mind and quality time with my family has been priceless.

You can call customer service but nobody will answer (even when you are second in line) or call you back. The online reservation system is confusing. It's actually one area where Greyhound is pretty good. I had no idea if my bus was late or not, and to switch to different bus is impossible online. It seems all geared to make you call the customer service number that nobody will answer

I had just explained to my son the importance of arriving early because arriving on time makes you late(he wondered why we left the hotel early though we were only a couple of blocks away from McDonalds.) The unmarked bus was parked across the street in front of the Paramount building. We were in line for a different tour who was parked in front McDonalds who informed us that we were in line for the wrong tour and pointed to the unmarked bus. We still arrived on time. I then explained to my son that situations like this is why you arrive early. I had a ton of missed calls and was contacted by email but a sign of some sort would've helped(a magnetic sign on the driver and passenger doors, or a foldable sign that can be transported on the bus) as I noticed the bus from across the street(the same side as Applebees and Ellen's Stardust Diner) but had no way of identifying it.
