Notice! Tiffany's doesn't serve breakfast anymore. Our morning breakfast group has been coming here on Thursday mornings for the past year. We usually have 5-10 of us, and order coffee and breakfast. Good food, except they charge more for using a credit card. We arrived today and found out they have stopped serving breakfasts! Hostess said they'd serve food starting at 10:30! I guess every place is going down due to,lack of staff. Too bad....we've come here and about one Thursday out of the month it is packed with all the tables full. Every Tuesday at our office, we have pastry Tuesday. We've used several bakeries in the city but everyone prefers pastries from Tiffany's. They are very professional and quick when preparing your pastries. They are intentional to store your purchase in containers which do not crush or smash your goodies. (Side note: other bakeries have stuffed 4 full-size muffins into a small cookie box, needless to say, no one ate those muffins). I love their blueberry muffin! It is delicious and moist. We also have the fresh cinnamon rolls, fruit danish (the cream cheese is an office favorite), and the brownies are sinful. Just felt like a coffee. I don't care for Starbucks and Columbia doesn't offer much. This was nearby so we decided to try it. Frustrating experience. Just wanted a cuppa. Unclear which of the three rooms and cashiers I needed to see/go to. The menu just lists food, I guess, and desserts. We stumbled through ordering two coffees. And the cashier hands us two mugs, one of which has a gash in it. Gash, in food service, means bacteria and hazard. The coffee is just in carafes and I found hazelnut creamer and vanilla. It's just little plastic cups of Nestle coffee-mate. So much for some half & half. Look, I just wanted a cuppa. My impression is that once you know the process, it's easier. I order a cake from a baker in the area sent her pictures on how I wanted my son cake ! for his birthday party. She did a terrible job! I was soooo upset ! i couldn't show this cake for display! I was hurt and ashamed! so I had to put my super mom cape on ! I went to tiffany's at 10:08 am Saturday morning told Ester the baker my situation showed her the cake I was going for came back 2 hours later and she made me a brand new cake !!! she was literally my angel ! the cake was so pretty I couldn't believe she pulled it off ! that short of a notice ! Before you read this post I want to say I have no idea if the food is good, but I do want to talk about the professionalism. I planned an event for Military spouses at Tiffany's from 7-830AM, I got there early to make sure I got the perfect table for everyone. At 7:05AM a lady came out and told me they wouldn't be open until 7:30AM, which was a little off putting - but I thought it was early enough and a lot of the ladies had babies so if I could catch them it wouldn't be an issue. Everyone was okay with arrive at 7:30AM. One girl arrived and we were chatting - we checked the door at 7:38AM and found this sign stating they wouldn't be open until 8AM. I couldn't believe it since a lady had told me they would open at 7:30. So, at that point I truly had no way to judge if they would indeed be open at 8AM so I had to cancel the event. While we were waiting three other people came and left due to Tiffany's not being open. This caused frustration from not only me, the event planner, but also the other women who were planning to attend. I know this location has newly opened, so I want to be understanding. However, after being told they would open a half hour after their posted hours - then having a paper sign put out stating an hour delay in opening.. I just don't feel this location is being very professionally run. I will be calling and speaking to the manager this afternoon, I will post an update at that time. read more

Was in a celebratory mood and we stopped by for some pastries for brunch. All three of them were stale. Chewy and dry. Maybe if you're known as a bakery you should toss out yesterday's baked goods instead of selling them to eager customers. Or worse-- if those were fresh, you need new bakers. This may be my new stomping grounds in Columbia. Forget this place just being a bakery. While their glass display still boasts the bright and shiny sugar confections their lunch menus are just as noteworthy. I had a beautiful, low carb citrus chicken salad! My mom had a big bowl of blackened shrimp jumbo! Both were amazing. Do not write this place off as just a sweet spot. Come check it out. Booth seating, a bar, beautiful decor, a nod to their old building with the Tiffany chandeliers, and amazing confectionary treats. What's not to love!!! Don't take my word for it. The new location is just lovely. They didn't skimp on the decor. I had a French dip sandwich for lunch and it was so tender and juicy. It came with fruit and a pickle. The drink machine has Cheerwine on tap, something I've rarely seen. I bought a dozen wedding cookies on my way out. Boy, are they good! read more

I like Tiffany's. They are pretty good for those who have not experienced NYC, Boston, San Francisco, ... you get the drift. But I've been disappointed to see that they are not requiring masks or gloves for their employees during the COVID19 pandemic. The reason for the disappointment is that any one of their employees might be a carrier without showing symptoms, potentially spreading the virus amongst employees and/or to customers. It kills me to make this post but man I loved this place tho that love has faded. I screamed how good the breakfast and lunch was here for so long but the last time I came me and my daughters waited 2 hours for some tenders and a club. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and instead of telling people they can't serve them they continued to seat people. To make up for it our server treated my girls to a free pastry but 2 hours for tenders in not acceptable. Today we came and they were out of biscuits at 930 and the pancakes, French toast were over cooked. Service is so basic it hurts. The restaurant clearly needs some help however the BAKERY IS ALWAYS GREAT. Please eat with caution. read more

This place needs an overhaul. I heard it was good when it first opened, but now not at all. Firstly, they were out of biscuits at 10 am on a Friday. Secondly the waitress was pretty bad at her job. Didn't ask two people in our party what they would like for drinks and forgot waters multiple times when asked for. Also had zero enthusiasm, and polite to the bare minimum. Thirdly, the worst part of all, the pancakes and French toast were burnt. You are "out of" biscuits but can't even make pancakes and French toast well?! My first time at Tiffany's. I would have given 5 stars except for one worker. Great food. Great customer service from the lady in the bar area. The bakery needs a line or signs of where to wait. It can be confusing to someone walking in that has never been to Tiffany's. A lot of people were just standing in front of the bakery and no order of a line. I happened to be standing in the lunch line and the lady working the bar area told me the bar area is waited. I sat down in that area and had a great lunch. I had the Turkey, Brie, and apple butter sandwich with sweet potato fries. After my great lunch I wanted petit fours. I'm waiting to be at the bakery and a young lady takes my order. When I get to register, she started complaining about how she was ready to go and tired of being at work. She then asked her coworker on the other register could she leave so she could get her nails done. Now, we all have bad days at work. Both the service and food was so amazing, specifically Jason, the executive chef. He had such amazing energy and you can tell he really loves what he does. One star because their desserts look appetizing although I have never had the chance to enjoy them. New to the area, I stopped in one afternoon to order lunch to go for my family since it's 5 mins from our new home. I sat and waited patiently as I was told 20 mins, no big deal. However, I waited and wait, till 30/35 mins had passed and I inquired about my order. The woman seemed bothered by my asking but turned to check. I Never got a response. Waiting.. waiting.. each order that comes out I now realize others are getting theirs whom had ordered after me. Finally a man steps out with an order, I jump up, it must be mine as it's been almost an hour now. NOPE. I say to him it's been almost an hour can you check on my order? A young woman comes out to tell me they had a computer issue and they could refund me. I told her I would like food as I've already waited this long and don't have the extra funds to wait for my 5-10 day card refund, unless they can give me cash back, I'll go elsewhere. Same man as before ( a manager or owner) reappears rude and aggressive, claiming we will not provide you cash! After an uncomfortable confrontation it's determine the food is still coming but he will still refund my card the next business day. Well about 15 mins later I got my food, by the time I got home 1hr 25min from when I ordered. The family and myself were hangry, only to open our meals and find out it was all wrong, and food was actually terrible. What a complete waste of time and unneeded stress. I Also never received my promised refund. We jumped in the car and had to get fast food. We Will never recommend this place for food and personally, will unfortunately never try their desserts after my awful experience. read more

What a wonderful dining experience! We had the French dip sandwiches and they were excellent. The staff was outstanding and so friendly. Sarah greeted us warmly and when I told her about our car troubles she surprised us with their fresh baked tea cakes. The chef, Jason, came out and talked to us and expressed his sympathies for our car trouble . He brought out a special sauce for my sweet potato fries that was delicious. Went there yesterday to grab a cupcake and try there gelato. The Cupcake was not fresh and the icing was way sweeter than expected and could literally bite sugar from the buttercream. Also the cupcake was damaged as they don't have inserts in their boxes to hold the Cupcake. The chocolate gelato was mediocre. It tasted more like Cocoa powder than a chocolate gelato. read more

Well, truth be told I'm not the biggest sweet eater but I'm pregnant and when I want something I want it, and guys this was one of the best birthday cakes I've had in awhile! Yaayyy for Covid birthdays and them being nice enough to still make me a cake! Even my dad the biggest cake critic in the world absolutely loved it! I've never posted a negative review before so this is a first for me. Normally I'll try a place and give them three tries. We all are humans, make mistakes, and can improve. Tiffanys lost me after the second visit and drove me to share this review. I walked in for my second visit and noticed that they were moving to a new location. I moved to the counter and a very sweet girl took my order with a smile. I quickly got my sweets, a brownie and a cookie. I would have gotten food and a drink, but based on the signs, they had no drinks to offer. Who wants to eat with no drinks? I didn't mind that though and looked forward to eating my treats. I found a booth and sat down. The brownie was horrible and very obviously old. I could have used to cut some of the famous South Carolina Blue Granite. I saved it and brought it to a friend who bakes. Her best guess is that the sweets are pre-cooked, frozen, and heated up later for the day. I can't confirm that, but I trust her. The cookie was ok and what I expected. Not to die for, but ok. What happened next was what made me write this review. A group of three employees, who I later learned from their conversations, are the owner, manager, and an employee whos title I don't know, showed up. They sat in the dinning area and started to bad mouth every employee. They were talking so loud that I could hear them a few booths away. The things they should shouldn't be repeated and I had half a mind to say something. Totally unprofessional. They weren't talking about me but I still felt uncomfortable for the employees. Then, one of them got up and started to yell, yes yell, at another employee. I honestly felt like I was watching a trash tv show on MTV. I immediately got up and left. In conclusion, Tiffanys Bakery doesn't live up to the name. It should be more like Breakfast with Jerry Springer. The bakery is moving and their only priority is that and it shows. The management would rather blame than train employees and would rather call them names than do whats right. I for one, will NOT be revisiting this place, even in the new bakery. I can make frozen brownies at home and watch Jerry Springer if I want. At least the curse words would bleeped out. read more
