I've had great cheesecake over the years - from Junior's in Brooklyn, NYC to the best of homemade ones, and Mesha's own stand beside those. We've had the strawberry (of course), praline, and blueberry, and am eager to try other ones. I only go here for special occasions, but want to try some of the cakes as well. The service here is okay. Not amazing, but they've answered questions I've had so that's more than good enough for me. And it's small shop so not much to see, but always clean and inviting upon entering. I'm glad they're here and am always overjoyed to support a Black-owned business as there are far few in this area.

The sandhill location always had plenty of inventory of their cakes and I never had to worry about having to come in early to snag a cake. You instantly get a good vibe when you enter the establishment. I love how they switch up their flavors of banana pudding during the seasons. I tried the pumpkin spice back in the fall and was so happy I went out of my comfort zone (not usually pumpkin spice gal)! My daughters love their cake slices which are very generous serving sizes, they typically last a few days for my little ones. I personally always stick with the banana pudding which I am never disappointed in, I am a big fan of consistency when frequenting an establishment. I wish this gem of a place nothing but success and sustainability! If you like sweet treats and supporting local black businesses please stop in, you won't be disappointed!!

There wasn't much in the small display case, but my stop was late afternoon so I figured that's why. I checked out the cupcake options on display and read the menu board quickly. I asked the cashier if the menu items were as ordered or what was in the display case changed daily. It was the latter. I purchased 4 cupcakes to-go: two wedding cake and two chocolate ganache. Once I returned home, I tried one the wedding cakes. It was just okay, not delicious. I took a bite of the chocolate ganache next and immediately was grossed out and tossed into the trash. It was not tasty at all, reminded me of a baking snafu like someone had a off-day with baking and mixed up ingredients. This was not a place I'd revisit.
