I've been to this practice for dental work five times in the last few months (my poor teeth needed serious help). I've seen Dr. Mark, Dr. Joe, and Dr. TJ. They were all kind, professional, and great about explaining what was going on with my teeth and what kind of procedures were needed. They also referred me to an endodontist and an oral surgeon who all worked out well. The front desk staff and dental assistants are very friendly and helpful. Scheduling appointments and billing my insurance have all gone smoothly. I highly recommend this practice. read more

Dr. TJ is an outstanding dentist! After some bad dental experiences in the past, I was initially nervous when I went in for my first visit. However, Dr. TJ was great and really took his time to explain his observations and treatment recommendations to me. I hated the dentist. I always have, and that initial feeling of dread that accompanies a scheduled dentist appointment would forever haunt me. After my experience with Dr. Nishimura and Dr. Kitamura, that feeling is non-existent when I schedule with them. I actually smile (pun intended) when I'm at the dentist. They treated me far beyond as a patient - they treated me like family. Their tender care and understanding throughout the procedure is something that I'll never forget. The attention to detail and their calm demeanor made the experience exactly how it should be - a dentist visit, not a fist-clenching, fight-or-flight debacle within my mind. Their office staff is p h e n o m e n a l. The culture that both Dr. Nishimura and Dr. Kitamura have established within their practice is something to be experienced. I've been coming here for quite some time now overall Great experience. Staff is friendly & courteous. This last time I got mark and man am I glad. I've been having a foul smell between 2 of my teeth when I floss. It has been driving me crazy. The past 2 cleanings they weren't able to make it go away. It was a good cleaning but not aggressive enough would be my guess. This time I explained my concerns to mark and told him go to town on my teeth and clean those suckers and what do you know morning floss no smell. Why a relief ! WTF? Unprofessional. Saw this outfit a week ago and received a call from a mindless drone that if I didn't settle my bill soon they'd send me to collections. Is this a dentist office or an extortion racket? Also had cavities filled and the apprentice left me in serious pain. I need to see his dental school certificate. The "dentists" obviously instruct their staff to employ these heavy handed tactics. May work in their community but I'd avoid them. They are not a continuation of Dr. Ferguson's professionalism and expertise. read more

Extremely rude attitudes from the receptionist and office manager. I've brought this to the doctors' attention a couple of times about what dental patients have to deal with rude staff and working conditions. However, they either don't care or have any plans to resolve it. I hope this review brings awareness to the problem. read more

This has absolutely nothing to do with Dr.Kitamuras work. She's a exceptional Dentist. This one star is for their billing system. I have over $3000 to spend annually as I'm double covered. I went in and had a procedure done that was no more than $300 and I was sent a bill for $90.Nothing out of the ordinary was done as everything they did was nothing different that I had experienced at other dentists. In the 14 years at my job and going to dentists not once have I ever been sent a bill even for specialized surgery. So my wife sends to their office or whoever deals with billing the information that states I'm double covered and I hear nothing back from Dr.Kitamura or her office as to whether they received the info my wife sent in or what was not covered by my insurance. So I receive a couple letters or should I say bills demanding payment. So as I'm figuring things out the last letter I received last week was from a collection agency for that $90, now a ding on my credit in which I don't take lightly to especially since the correspondence between her office and I was very poor while I Although $90 is nothing I don't feel I should have to pay if I'm covered. I'm still going to look into this and hopefully the outcome will be better. Search no more! The best dentist HANDS DOWN has been discovered and her name is Tiffany Kitamura. I have had the WORST luck with dentists. Horror stories. So it goes without saying that I was terrified and skeptical when I came to Tiffany. With very little hope in dentistry, she and her AMAZING staff turned me into a believer. She is not only amazing at her work, she's kind, caring, personable, and just an all around awesome person. Her staff (Crystal, and the rest of the dental assistants) is also just the best I've come across. It makes going to the dentist a very pleasant experience. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone and if I moved an hour away, I would still make the drive to come to her office! read more

This is now my new dentist (for the past three years) - I see Mark here as my regular dentist but Tiffany is just as good (she fills in for Mark when he has the day off)! I came here because someone tried to rip me off across the street at Meridian Dental Associates - so I just crossed the street and signed up here. They are a little more expensive than the other dentists in the area, but I will gladly pay more to come here because they are always straight up with me. They tell me the truth about the condition of my teeth, and at the end of the day that's all I ask of them (to be honest about my gum line!). In addition to this, Mark is a very gentle dentist. When he drills out cavities for me I can't even feel it! He makes sure you understand your options, and he does not push anything on you whatsoever. I highly recommend this place as they remember you every time you come in, they do a great job on your teeth, and they are very personable. These are qualities that are becoming harder and harder to find these days, and I appreciate that they operate in this manner. read more

We have been going here for about 6 years. We didn't realize how amazing dental work could be until my husband and I started coming here. Everyone in this practice is friendly and professional. Crystal, the office manager is helpful with insurance and billing and is always willing to answer questions you have. The dental hygienists are thorough and both Dr. Kitamura and Dr. Nishimura are helpful, providing excellent dental care and work. When my husband had a tooth emergency, they saw him immediately and Dr. Nishimura followed up the next day checking in on him. We can't say enough good things about their practice. read more

I seriously love my dentists and their entire team. The service is top notch, and no matter how much they have to do on your teeth, they're always thorough! Appointments never feel rushed.. You leave with really adorable mini water bottles.. Everyone is both personable and professional at the same time.. They even note down mini details of what you said during your past visit so your past conversations can just resume where they left off! Way way way too many good things about this place. Tiffany and her Staff are simply AWESOME! I have never had a better dental experience than what I had with Dr. Kitamura. This was my first time visiting her, and I will say with full confidence that she will be my new dentist for all my work in the future! I had been looking for a dentist in the San Jose area because I attend SJSU, and I noticed this office's phenomenal reviews and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you--best decision ever made! I had a fractured molar that had lost it's filling and I called to find out the process to become a patient in order to get this fixed. Crystal (I assume the receptionist or DA) spoke with me and scheduled me the very NEXT day for a consultation. This cute and cozy office is clean, all staff is very personable/helpful, and Dr. Kitamura fixed my tooth right then and there; I was out of there in less than an hour. Completely painless and thorough. It is very evident that they keep the patient's experience into high consideration at this office---eyewear to protect from water spots splattering on your face, vaseline on your lips to prevent cracking, and continuous "check-ins" to ensure we are comfortable. Dr. Kitamura and all of the staff are so friendly and I truly am looking forward to coming back. I have more work to be done as well as a full dental exam needed, so I scheduled my next appt. in this office with NO hesitation. Thank you Dr. Kitamura and staff! Dr. Mark is awesome! The front office desk is friendly and the office is clean and welcoming. Go Crystal!! :) Dr. Mark was referred to me from a friend and I have had the best experience with him compared to other dentists I have gone to. He is patient with you and answers all of your questions thoroughly. He doesn't try to rush you out and is also very accommodating on your options which is great for college students like me. With that being said, he also makes you feel equal to everyone else and is a great conversationalist. This place is the worst!! Appt time 9:30 am, been waiting 1.5 hrs already & nothing. Being told they are under staffed & overbooked (by receptionist). Same thing they said last week when they called to cancel our appts & reschedule. So glad my son is missing school for this. The office help isn't very helpful or compassionate.
