All I have to say is how impressed I was with the incredible staff, especially Diana. She was graceful, patient and very accommodating. I had come in with my boyfriend just to look during my birthday. She offered us glasses of champagne as a celebration for my 25th birthday. Am I really the first person to review Tiffany's in Providence? Me oh my. Well then, let's get started. The store is impressive - quite large with a huge selection of wedding and engagement rings right up front. There's a ton - seriously, a TON - of precious jewels in the front section and the security guard at the door makes it all very, very real. You'll find the gold, silver, and semi-precious stone jewelery in the back, along with the stemware, silverware, and home wares (this selection is quite limited, and is confined to a small nook in one corner). My favorite thing about this Tiffany's? The staff. They're so friendly, warm, and helpful it floors me each and every time I go in. The're really helpful, eager to get you anything to try on, and are very polite. The customer service is impeccable, and makes what can be an overwhelming experience quite pleasant. The only thing that bums me out about this location is that they don't do on-site repairs, so if your chain breaks or you need a polish, they have to send it out to New York, and it can take a few weeks to get your items back. I'll admit I wouldn't consider myself a regular, but the moment you step in, you're treated like you're family. In particular, the store here at the Providence Place make the effort to go above and beyond to make sure you have a great memory of your purchase. I was looking for an engagement/wedding ring for my soon to be fiance. Like any friend would ask, they wanted to help you choose something based on the person, the how the proposal/wedding would happen. Without being intrusive but at the same time asking for pertinent details, they helped explain to me the virtues of each piece of jewelry so that I could find exactly what I was looking for without even knowing it. Of course, we were looking to get our rings engraved and they signed us up for a wondering engraving event where they brought one of their master Tiffany engravers from New York to come by and do engravings in person. I was thrilled to participate in their event and they made sure to make that event memorable for us. I feel so fortunate that we in Providence are privy to having a Tiffany & Co. in our mall. It is after all, the classiest store they've got! I enjoy shopping here for gifts for friends and family... and for that special someone... and by special someone.... I DO MEAN ME!!! I was very impressed with the customer service I received today when I brought in my Tiffany necklace that I had broke this winter. They told me it would be very simple to send it out and have it repaired/replaced for a small charge of $25! I can't wait until it is returned to me! This isn't your typical mall jewelry store as evidenced by the huge glass doors and (almost) equally huge guard standing between you and the exit. I was expertly assisted with my jewelry selection by Miriam. She listened carefully to what I was looking for, understood my price range, and took the time to show me several options (all of which were stunning). Her charm put me at ease - no pretentiousness to be found, and I didn't have to take out a second mortgage to afford the gift. Went here today to buy a wedding ring. Could not get any service except from the security guard who said he would try to get someone to help us. We waited for 10 minutes and no one despite a register clerk standing by 5 ft from us, she chose to ignore us. As soon as we left because we could not get any service, she waited on a disheveled man. We took our business elsewhere. Horrible representation of the Tiffany brand. Sad when the security officer is more polite. OKay I get the fandom but I really do love shopping here. Everything is impeccably made and the service is just what you would expect. Elizabeth has been my Tiffany's guru now for 3 years and every time I go back to see her the experience gets better! She keeps notes on everything that I like and being the impossible person to buy for that I am, my friends, family and loved ones can call her and know they are getting me something that I will love! I went here to buy a graduation gift for a relative graduating from Providence College last year. I think most people know about Tiffany's, their jewelry and their famous green box. I looked at several bracelets in the display case. These are not custom made bracelets, they are mass produced by Tiffany's and sent to their stores. So, I was looking at a display bracelet that is used to show customers like a display model TV. If one purchases the display model, because there are no others, it is sold at a discount to the customer. It's discounted because it has been taken out of it's box and used. The bracelet I liked in the display was the last one Tiffany's had. They had no new ones in the box, the sales person told me this and that if I wanted it I would have to buy the display one. OK, no problem but I requested a discount because it has been essentially used and was a display model. I was told that it is against Tiffany's policy to discount their merchandise. So, I was forced to buy the display model at full price. Apparently, Tiffany's cares more about making money than their customers, and doing the right thing. read more

My fiancé recently got my engagement ring here and I also have other jewelry from this store. First off the customer service is unbelievable. There are no words to describe how awesome the sales associates are here. He raved and still raves about how awesome Samantha (I believe that was her name) and the manager of this store treated him and how fantastic they were at finding him the perfect ring. She apparently had multiple rings shipped at different times, allowed him to come in a look at them as well as held on to the one he thought he liked best. The reason he is not writing this is because I am the one with a yelp and I cannot let this amazing store go unnoticed. I will be getting the ring sized down tomorrow and it does have to be shipped to NYC for a week but that really doesn't bother me. For those who think Tiffanys is overpriced you are mistaken as for one you will not receive the customer support that you receive at any Tiffanys anywhere else, and the most important thing is nothing sparkles like a Tiffanys diamond. went into this store with my friend for the first time to check out some engagement rings with her and boy... was the lady who helped us such a b-------. first off we were just browsing and looking trying to get some ideas on what my friend wanted in the future. my friend tried on a few rings, but as we were still looking, the lady who helped/not helped us didn't really talk to us or acknowledge us or even bother to want to give us any information regarding the engagement rings. when she put the ring back into the case, she walked away and went to the counter behind us....course we were still looking and i had to call her back so we can look at another set of rings.....in any case, the rings were lovely, but the lady did not sell it to us nor did she make us feel like we should come back to check out the ring again...no business card...nothing zip....... what poor service....for a tiffany and co place, you would expect to have nice informative people around to TRY and SELL you their jewelry..... read more
