Tifa showed up on my Yelp feed not too long ago about a week after I had been searching for a chocolatier in my area. At the time I drove into Houston to find dark chocolates so I was thrilled to see Tifa had opened up nearby and I bookmarked it to try out as soon as I had a chance. My birthday is today so as a treat to myself I grabbed my cousin and she came with me to try out Tifa after dinner. It was perfect. Plenty of parking as it's near a bunch of great dining spots. It's bright and smells amazing inside and you're greeted warmly with kind words and the biggest most beautiful smile from the owner as you walk in. I was overwhelmed from viewing all the amazing things they had on their website so I went in with a game plan, chocolates/truffles only and taste test the gelato. My cousin surprised me by buying my 7-piece chocolate box which included an eggnog dark chocolate truffle, peppermint bark chocolate, dark chocolate pumpkin, wild strawberry dark chocolate, tiramisu dark chocolate, raspberry dark chocolate, and an amaretto milk chocolate. I also grabbed an Element rose cardamom dark chocolate bar. The owner securely kept our chocolates for us at the register and we moved forward to join the gelato line to try all the gelato samples we wanted. (There was no line at all when we first arrived I should add). I tried several of the gelatos. All were amazing. My favorites were the stracciatella and Casablanca bloom. My oh my, they each had the perfect and most incredible blend of flavors. Their lemon gelato was also so refreshing. I'll definitely be back to buy a scoop of each and perhaps with some drinking chocolate over them. I've gotta try that out since I've never had it before. They have so many ways to flavor their drinking chocolates, you start with dark, milk or white chocolate and can add any of their wide assortment of flavors and believe me they have a very wide variety. They also have lattes and such as well. The staff was super kind and helpful. I wish I had caught their names so I could recognize them here but since I did not if you worked at Tifa around 9PM on Dec 13, 2025 huge kudos to you! You are great at your job and provided me and my cousin exceptional service! Much appreciated especially during the holiday season and a day before my birthday. This review will probably be my most thorough, and for TLDR, this is a hidden gem, and of all the true gelato places I've had in Houston, this is by far my favorite experience I've had. The selection of gelato flavors that you'll find are so unique, and have richness that you can tell were hand mixed. From talking with the owner, Sanaa, she told us about her story in how she got her shop set up, her design and vision, and the motivation behind the shop. She told us that this is supposed to be a dessert cafe, not just a gelato shop. At the front, they have their selection of chocolates, which I unfortunately did not get to fully explore this time around, but seemed to have been popular at the time we were there. Immediately adjacent, the gelato and sorbets are found, which Sanaa explained to us come from a database of 360 total flavors that periodically rotate about 1-2 every week, with a selection of 24 on any given day. At the end, they have their baked goods, from cookies to brownies. They also sell coffees and matchas among other drinks. We tried the gelato this time around, and plan on trying some of the other items, such as the matcha, the cookies, and maybe some of the chocolates. The gelato selection alone needs time to explore fully, but we ended up settling on the Casablanca, which was recommended by Sanaa as her hometown flavor, the s'mores, and the cookie monster. These three flavors were all 10/10s, I was shocked. The texture of the gelatos, first of all, were all on point, from the temperature, to the aeration, and the incorporation of the mixins was perfect. The flavor of the casablanca resembled that of a cinnamon sweet cream, and was very good, a personal favorite. The s'mores was also very good, and was not overly sweet. Lastly the cookie monster was so good. The three flavors overall were great and I'm going to have a hard time picking whether to get these flavors or try some of the other great ones, such as strawberry matcha and cookie butter which caught my eye. All in all, I am pleasantly surprised we stumbled across this exceptional dessert spot. I will be frequenting this place and recommending it to anyone thats in the area, truly a hidden gem. read more

I had a great experience here getting my gf Valentine's Day chocolates! I tried a vanilla dark and it was great, so I knew my gf's pieces would be great. She loved everything I got her: banana milk, champagne, toasted coconut, cappuccino, butter pecan, some caramel one, and two others I can't remember! It was 17 which includes 15% tip. Unique flavors, smooth and creamy gelato texture. 4 out of 5 stars. I wanted to sample all the flavors (there was no one in line) and the guy only pulled a few spoons. I been to other gelato places and they didn't care how much I sampled. That's my only complaint. I'm going to say this very fluidly considering the circumstances and the occasion. This is by no means a reflection of the quality of the products sold or the establishment but more about customer service. We went in on the day of the grand opening in the evening and was met with a beautiful establishment. There was a pretty good amount of people there seemingly a lot of people the owners knew. This being the first day of opening it was very clean , and there were several options of gelato, chocolates and coffee options. My son and I tried the gelato which was really good. They had a good variety as well. The young lady who greeted us was very sweet. I am big on customer service and this being a new establishment it was obvious who the owner was she seemingly greeted everyone coming in and we were looked over twice by her as she communicated with seemingly the people she knew. We decided to sit and eat the gelato and still watched the owner walk around and talk to everyone minus us. I kept in mind this was the grand opening so I'm sure the family was excited to open and have their people celebrate together but as a consumer some acknowledgement and thank you for coming from her would have been nice especially since I witnessed her do it to multiple people. The boy who rung us up was also dry. I looked at him for what seemed the longest until he said you have 2- I'm like yes. Weird encounter. Tifa Chocolate & Gelato is amazing! There's a vast selection of Gelato flavors. There's so much chocolate products! Tifa Chocolate & Gelato also make tea, coffee, lemonade and sparkling water. The prices for their gelato and chocolate truffles aren't so bad, if you don't buy so much at once. The owner is really nice and patient. It seems she loves her job. They sell their own packaged chocolates and candy. They even have gift cards! They make the best gelato in Webster. This place is also perfect for chocoholics like me! Tried this place out with a couple of coworkers yesterday and it was great! The ambiance is nice and calming and the employee (should've gotten her name) was helpful and allowed us to try as many samples of the numerous variations of gelato there was! I love that they have traditional gelato flavors and also unique and seasonal flavors. My go-to gelato flavor is Stracciatella (which they had) BUT when I saw they offer COOKIE BUTTER (my favorite everything flavor ) I had to try it! It's delicious and very sweet! I also decided to try Pumpkin Almond Swirl and OH MY!!! I loved it more than the Cookie Butter, surprisingly, so I decided on that one. I got a small cup and the employee told me I could actually get two scoops of the same or different flavors in the small. Medium is 3 scoops and so on. That was an easy choice...Cookie Butter it was! This is some of the best gelato I've had and if you know me, you know I love gelato! I HIGHLY recommend trying the flavors and if you like pumpkin flavor, I HIGHLY recommend getting the Pumpkin Almond Swirl as it may be a seasonal flavor. I love to support local and I'm so happy Webster has another GOOD gelato place! They also sell tiny truffles, chocolates, macarons (another favorite treat), huge cookies, and coffees! Today was a 1-star visit, which was disappointing because we've had better experiences here before when the owner was present. We've only ever ordered gelato in the past and have always enjoyed it. Since it was cold out, we made a special trip assuming a chocolate focused shop would offer a better hot chocolate than somewhere like Starbucks. While the quality of the hot chocolate itself was really good, the service was not. We were rushed despite explaining that we weren't familiar with the hot chocolate options, and customization was never explained beyond choosing milk or dark chocolate. The interaction felt impersonal and unwelcoming, as though we were an inconvenience. What ultimately stood out was watching the employee be warm and playful with a friend sitting nearby, while showing no effort to extend the same basic kindness to our family. It was a disheartening experience and not what we expected from a place we've enjoyed before. read more

When I discovered a local place had just opened up that served drinking chocolate I was so excited to check it out. My 10 year old loves to try new things and even though I've made drinking chocolate before, going out to experience it was something we'd been looking forward to doing. We stopped by after Christmas and it wasn't busy. We decided to get different types of drinking chocolate, one dark and one milk chocolate. The staff was pleasant enough, though they didn't seem too invested in what they were doing. It was pretty cool to have different flavors to add in but when they arrived I was surprised it was more like pot de creme than drinking chocolate. I wasn't expecting a hot chocolate consistency, but I was expecting to be able to drink it and not eat it with the use of a spoon. I was disappointed to say the least. It was very disappointing when hubby and I were super excited to spend a restful breakaway and diet cheat day yesterday 11/12/25. We spoke with the owner over the phone prior coming about the quality of the ice cream. Therefore, our palate was drooling to spend our cheat day. Unfortunately, the server in the store was rude, unwelcoming and felt like she isn't happy with her workplace. It ruined our whole first time experience. It will be nice to have a friendly atmosphere considering you are selling sugary foodie. She was frowning and very very impolite worst rude. The ice cream would have tasted better not suppressing our appetite if the server has a pleasant personality. Will never come back. Too bad . We visited the new TIFA Chocolate & Gelato store in Webster Texas last night for their soft opening. The staff and the owners were all very nice and helpful with trying to decide what we wanted to try. I highly recommend this store if you are wanting a new delightful adventure for tasty treats to enjoy. Their Gelato was really good. They have quite a few flavor mixes to choose from as well as a variety of chocolates, coffees, and muffins . We took home 2 pints, in 4 different flavors for later. Sorry.....
