We were a party of 6 and they took us upstairs through what felt like a maze of tables and parties enjoying wine and tapas. I already had fallen in love with the ambiance that felt cozy and intimate. We were seated and proceeded to order a ton of starters. One of the highlights were the oytsers which were dressed with shrimp, the pan con tomate, the burrata salad and the cochinillo main. Wow. That pork was divine, and we all agreed it was the star of the night. Our friendly server also recommended two different wines - a white from the area and a red. Both were great and perfect pairings with our meal. We ended with dessert which was torrejas and a homemade strawberry ice cream. I loved them both. Would definitely put this spot on your list when in Palma. It's in the walkable area of town so pop in and explore before and after.

We had actually passed this place up as we were getting gelato one of the nights and things were shutting down. We knew we needed to come back here when the kitchen was open and our stomachs were wide open. The next day after a long beach day and being extra hungry, we made SURE we came. Despite not having any reservations, they let the five of us sit pretty quickly and we had the best waiter that made us crack up the whole time. We ordered a bit of everything for the table to share, they had plenty of vegetarian tapas options for us while our friends also decided to go all out with seafood. When in Mallorca, right? They use the freshest of the seafood and this was for sure a great spot to enjoy it at. After delicious sangria, cheeses, tapas, patatas, croquetas and yummy bread - and ALIOLI OF COURSE - we practically rolled out of there feeling incredible. What a great spot to enjoy tapas with friends and enjoy amazing food while traveling and indulging in a fun cultural foodie experience.

This is the case with La Cueva. Walking down the street, apparently lost and you see a restaurant in the basement and peek into it and finding lots of people inside. As we were situated, finding out that this place runs like a clockwork. Decided to order that two items that Yelp recommended and did not disappoint us. Note this place is not known for traditional tapas, but more of a global modern twist. Some of their tapas were one of a kind and cannot be found anywhere else in Palma. The inside was super cute and would be great for a date night. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. At the end of the night, we even asked her for a recommendation of her favorite local tapas place in Palma and her recommendation did not disappoint. This is what we ordered: Toast Mallorca - There was sobrassada, cheese & tomato jam au gratin on top. You've never had toast like this before! The jam added so much flavor to the toast. The trio was a perfect combination of smokiness and sweetness. Iberian ham "Bellota" - Probably the best cut of ham we had in all of Mallorca! It was the tenderest piece of ham we've had. You could taste the quality of the meat. Roll & Roll - these were vegetarian rolls filled with Mediterranean goodness; I'm not a vegetarian but these rolls were very good! The sauce added so much flavor to the rolls. Eggplant carpaccio - if you must order one dish and one dish only, this is it! Nowhere in Mallorca will you find eggplant carpaccio. It was absolutely delicious! The eggplant was covered with truffle oil, almonds, and parmesan cheese and was full of flavor with every bite. Octopus, 13% style - The Octopus was seasoned with spicy paprika on top of a bed of mashed potatoes. The octopus was good, but did not compare to the other tapas we loved. This place is an absolute must try while in Mallorca!

It's not just how they grilled it but the quality of the lamb and also they are baby lamb, not gamey and very tender. Even the fries, the baked/roasted garlic and the chili was amazing. Grilled octopus - The lamb chop was so good that even the grilled octopus was pretty outstanding, you don't really notice anymore. The sauce there made with olive was impressive. Very delicious. At first, I saw the almost 5 stars rating must be forgiving and generous tourist's rating but after coming here, now I know. This is the real deal.
