This review is for the business side of this practice, not the medical side…read more If you are uninsured, DO NOT trust this business. They will overcharge you, make it impossible to get help, then tell you they don't have the power to correct their own mistakes. I have had three appointments with this group (at the Murchison location, for what it's worth) and ALL three were billed incorrectly, adding hundreds to my bill. I have been trying to get these charges adjusted since FEBRUARY and every time I call my doctor's office they say there is nothing they can do. Really? Nothing they can do to fix mistakes they made?? The first mistake was failure to consistently apply a discount. The second two mistakes were outright billed for things that never happened or more expensive versions of the care that was actually delivered. I ended up researching the correct codes and submitting them to billing because their own people were so incompetent. I've tried using the online bill pay portal to contact them because they promise a response in two business days. Never heard back from them! I am consistently directed to call the billing department at Lee Trevino who never ever answers, or to call an office in San Antonio who just directs me back to the practice. I've tried calling at different days and at different times. I drove to the office to speak to someone in person and was told I needed an appointment. How am I supposed to make an appointment if they don't answer phone or email? The receptionist wouldn't let me speak to the billing manager but let me pass on a sticky note full of my corrections. Only some of them were corrected and I haven't been able to speak to anyone since then. I am a self-pay patient, so maybe you get better treatment if you are insured because at least the insurance will fight for you. I ended up skipping the remaining care I needed because I couldn't afford to pay for any more of their made up charges.

I had a car accident approximately two years ago and worked with a horrible law firm that I hired right after I was "bird dogged" which is just like ambulance chasing. Unlawful, but because the event had just happened I just accepted their services. They knew that two years on a case was the maximum time frame I could go on this claim even though I had referrals to two specialists that I was never able to see. The first an orthopedic surgeon who agreed that I required surgery on my right knee. I could never get "permission" to get this done, and according to the Injury Specialist this exacerbated my back issues and has now caused a left knee issue due to compensation of the skeletal and muscle structure. The second referral never happened. I finally made contact with this ambulance chasing lawyer's office and they informed me that Denise from this office called them telling them that I have not been compliant with their treatments. Not true at all. They were being scheduled so frequently I was having issues getting off work for them. Please remember that this accident happened approximately two years ago. Denise of this office supposedly followed up with referrals but I never received any correspondence to unanswered questions. I recently requested a call back from her but have yet to hear from her, this was just this Monday. She apparently contacted the "attorney" and told them to settle the case. Again, this all goes against what the MRI's show, that there is damage to my knee and back. Very disappointed as I'd originally given this office a very high review. Hindsight.

I hate any social media and I am immensely private, but I had to say something…read moreI canceled all future appointments with this company because I missed two and didn't think I could keep that appointment. I honestly felt badly and it wasn't ok to just not show; HOWEVER the response I received is that I had already been cancelled due to "non-compliance" and "if I need anything don't hesitate to contact us! "With the exclamation. I let them know that I don't have to do a GD thing except stay black and die. No patient has to COMPLY and put up with passive aggressive exclamation points. I am a successful therapist in private practice. I would NEVER say they have to COMPLY. If anything I would express concern and enquire if there was an issue that could be addressed to help them make the appointment. Maybe they aren't completely satisfied with the service. Or maybe they have PTSD and Parkinson's LIKE ME and don't sleep well which makes it difficult for them to get up early. And maybe they are embarrassed and don't know how to convey this because people will say cruel, ignorant, and insensitive things. And maybe trying to do exercises and following the direction is difficult due to feeling like your body is portraying you. In essence, I had to really think about what I was doing. I guess noone there understands how much mental effort it takes to get your body to comply with Parkinson's,MS, etc. And for kickers I had to be redirected on how to exit. Because I was that confused Point is and I know no noone really cares about customer service, but you build a business by building relationships. They may have the best services and the most qualified employees, so I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from going there. The only thing I will say is you never know where someone is or what they are going through. I am a vet and my body is falling apart. People don't understand or care what we put our bodies through and not just from war. Then we deal with services that show no empathy and make things worse. Look up how many vets kill themselves everyday. There are paper services out there but they are often manned by cruel people. Our community is really hurting and some more than me. It's heartbreaking. All of this could have been managed with some curiosity. So the next time a vet comes with a similar or different issue, I hope they show a little bit of concern about how what may seem easy is incredibly difficult to do.... To include "Complying". That is what I "need!"; absolutely heartbreaking.

I have suffered from back pain on an off for many years, but a recent severe episode of back pain required a spine specialist with extensive experience. I was referred to Harry Koster (Spine & Rehab) and have now been to two sessions in the past week. The new patient on-boarding experience was very professional and thorough. The entire staff, from the reception desk to the admin folks who processed my insurance paperwork were friendly and efficient. My appointment started right on time, which I really appreciate in an era when doctors and medical practitioners don't respect patients' time. I came from a half-hour away, and appreciated not having to wait an hour in the waiting room. The drive is worth it. I never select medical care providers by "convenience". My health care is worth an extra fifteen minutes of drive time. My experience with the entire staff was exceptional. The entire staff exceeded my expectations, and especially Mr. Koster, who took his time with me to explain my condition and how to improve it to relieve my symptoms and to help to prevent future flare-ups. Mr. Koster is McKenzie Method certified, a distinction that distinguishes Harry Koster, PT, from other physical therapists that do not have that certification. The McKenzie method is a long-time trusted method to treat and prevent back pain. I'm happy to report that, thanks to Harry Koster, I'm on the road to recovery, with noticeable improvement within a week of the onset of my back (lower lumbar) pain.
