He provided a fair and timely estimate within two days. I selected him primarily based on his labor cost and workmanship value, as I was handling much of the materials and planning myself. Communication Before the Project - Grade: A From the initial meeting until the project began about a month later, Lewis and I stayed in regular contact through emails and phone calls. His communication was consistent and professional, giving me confidence that I had chosen the right contractor. I received estimates from eight different contractors for this project, and Lewis's price was by far the fairest while still demonstrating a clear understanding of the scope of work. Project Start - Grade: A On the first day of the project, Lewis Debrickus arrived with George and two additional workers. George served as the on-site foreman and managed the crew throughout the day. Lewis returned at the end of the day to check on the progress. The work went smoothly, the job site was kept clean, and it was clear that good progress was being made. Porch Flooring Tile Installation - Grade: B+ The porch flooring tile installation produced a final result that I am happy with overall. However, the installation took approximately one week to complete for a 4-foot by 29-foot porch, which was longer than I expected. During the installation, I identified a couple of areas that required correction, and those issues were addressed. While applying the tile and grout sealer, I also discovered a few grout joints that had been missed. Despite these concerns, the corrections made and the overall appearance of the finished porch met my expectations. That was the last I heard from him. No callback, no text, no attempt to reschedule again. He simply never showed and never followed up. I have no idea what was going on -- whether it was disorganization, being overwhelmed by the scope of the job, or something else -- but from a customer's perspective it doesn't matter. I made time for two separate appointments, accommodated a last-minute change in good faith, and got ghosted for my trouble. This is not how a business should communicate with a paying customer. He said CDW would provide computer renderings within 2 weeks. No deposit required. He also asked about our budget for the project. We liked what we saw on the computer renderings. We had CDW adjust the size of the space down a little from the original drawings and the price reached our budget. We hired them for the job at this point. We are very happy with how the project went. All the subcontractors showed up when promised and on time. They all did very nice work. the carpenter team was outstanding at problem solving any issues that came up adding a new addition onto an old farmhouse. We did make a few changes to the original plan and CDW was very accommodating. The communication between their office staff and us was outstanding. We couldn't ask for a nicer finished project or a better company to work with. We would definitely hire them again in the future.

Keep in mind this is at 5:30 in the evening. They were there until about 9:30 and had to come back the next day. They left out yard and tore up our grass so bad we can not even run a lawn mover over it. They ripped the shelf off our Grill while moving it and sealed us out of our shed. The asphalt came up to where we couldnt open our the shed doors - they ended up cutting about 2 inches off of the bottom. They were supposed to come back to clean up and address some of our concerns but never returned our calls or text after a week. Now we are left with a mess to clean up and we are not happy with the job and the money we spent.
