If you come by car as we did, you can park on the lane around the corner, free of charge (with the barrier card that you get on arrival). Was very convenient. The walk to the centre was about 15 mins but there is a bus stop right outside if you need it. There is also a large-ish co-op under 5 mins walk away if you need to buy food stuffs. Overall a lovely weekend and a superb apartment. Would definitely recommend.

The proprietors were extremely helpful, not only in a tour-guide sense but in helping us get to hospital and explaining how things work. The room was very clean and modern, and while small was extremely comfortable (excellent bed). Sherry and chocolates upon arrival, a mini fridge, an excellent bathroom and shower, and a lovely fresh-cooked breakfast. Very accomodating and about a 20 minute walk into the center of town - even in winter it was no big deal as the walk took us past many fun shops and pubs and is very easy to manage for someone wanting to stay a bit outside the middle of the city, but not need to drive in and out.

A really nice guy, always ready for a chat and paying attention to details. He serves a splendid breakfast and if you choose the full scottish breakfast option you are in for a really good start for the day. Don't miss the haggis on your plate btw! David has a bag full of stories to tell and lot's of useful hints for exploring the city. We found our room to be clean, comfortable and well equipped with a kettle, tea, coffee, water and bisquits. Very handy came the many AC outles and the free WiFi. The double glassing of the windows bannes the traffic noise pretty good and we slept perfectly well. Special mention for the powerful hairdryer, get's you dry in no time. Thank you Dave!

The possibilities are endless, and with pubs, supermarkets and several restaurants in the street right outside the front door, you can both eat out or make some delicious dinner in the apartments kitchen. If you are a shopaholic, Princes Street is just a 10 minutes walk away. Edinburgh Castle is also just 10 minutes away, if you are the more "old buildings" type. 10 minutes the opposite way you can find "The Meadows" a lovely and big park perfect for relaxing or jogging. It's extremely necessary to stop by Princes Street Gardens. This is the PERFECT place to enjoy a fresh lunch or a ice cream, if the sun pops up. The best part with the apartment is the owner. This is a lovely lady who is more than willing to help you with your stay. There do not exist something called problems. If I'm visiting Edinburgh again, I would love to stay here again.

Great location, friendly staff, good size rooms, bathrooms could use updating…read more The positives- Wonderful location (convenient to both central Edinburgh and the train/airport via Haymarket Stations), Friendly atmosphere (one you arrive everything is included- complimentary internet and breakfast!), good size room (our 4 person room was the most spacious room I've seen in Europe), and very friendly staff willing to help with whatever. The negatives- The bathroom was tiny and outdated. I'd encourage the owners to spend a few pounds to replace the ancient hair dryers which burnt our hands and look at other options to modernise the loos. Overall a good stay and great value for the location.
