She has a method and it didn't feel like you can request for specific things (which was fine by us). She has the lollipop/ iPad / toy triple threat combo. I think I paid around $50 with tip. Definitely pricey, but my so gets one cut a year. However, 4.5 months after the cut, my son's hair still looks great. It's grown out well. read more

If your child is in need of a haircut, this is the place to come. The lady is super patient...and trust me, it took my wife and I to hold this kiddo still. He fought tooth and nail to not get this haircut. For a kiddo bobbing and weaving all over the place, the haircut lady worked miracles. I'm sure my kiddo will make it on the wall of shame...but man...this lady is a pro. I hope he gets better and can continue to come to this place. Very disappointment - I had hopes that they wouldn't have any issues with cutting my wiggly 4 year olds hair.... but man was I wrong... first the stylist kept calling my daughter- Girl- even after knowing her name. Other issue is this was just a trim- I asked an inch off the back and sides. Then right above her eye brows for her bangs- they ended up butchering her bangs- she had her hair cut 8 weeks ago so it was just following the hair style she already has it so I thought.. now I have to reschedule family pictures -we will never be back it was waste of $20 and tip- read more

The staff person (owner?) is friendly, she cuts the hair exactly how we want, the place is clean, and they have things that keep the kids entertained (trainset, tvs, neat seats to sit in). We love Tickle Clips! It is the first salon that my three year old hasn't cried at. That is a huge thing!! We are re-peat customers and have come back 4-5 times since our original cut. The stylists are super friendly and are AMAZING with kids! They have a kids play area that we definitely take advantage of before and after getting their hair cut. Took my little guy and me for a haircut. It's a very cute setup with police and fire truck chairs and lots of toys to look at. The stylist was very kind careful and patient. I guess I didn't know what to expect from a kids place. I've only been a parent for a year. My wife had taken him the time before and they had a really great first experience. That made me very happy Both of us got out of there looking good at a reasonable price. My only caution is that they do work with kids and I think the equipment is meant for kids hair so it's a little grabby on adult hair. Otherwise five stars all around. read more

My son has a ton of hair so we end up getting haircuts pretty often and he usually hates it, so I thought I would try out this place since they have the cool cars the kids can sit in - so glad we did!! We walked in without an appointment and only waited maybe 5-10 minutes (we could have waited much longer since they have an awesome train track and toys for the kids while they wait). Rose was so sweet and patient and always made sure my son was happy and brought him toys to distract him. My son LOVED sitting in the police car! They have TVs on for the kids while they get their haircutNot only was she so sweet, but she did an amazing haircut! They also have lollipops and little toys the kids can pick from once they're done. The stylist checks in with you to see if you like the cut so far. They do a professional job on my son's crown making it look great. We've been taking our 3 year old son to Tickle Clips for over a year. The owner, Mary, is fantastic. She is kind and patient with our wiggly toddler. She knows how to calm him down. Each time we have visited, we would get an appointment in same day. There are kid shows on TVs playing, cute firefighter/police officer/airplane chairs, a play area with a train table for our short waits. She even gives out lollipops and prizes for after their cute. Generous owner and we have referred several friends! TIP: we started bringing our own large towel to wrap our son in (which he liked) to help with the itching when getting his hair cut. We would recommend that if your little one has a hard time with an "apron". read more

Not here, she took her time showing him toys, what she was going to do on a stuffed animal before doing it to him, and was so patient. At the end he got a couple toys and a treat. A+. I brought my 11 month old here for his first haircut, and it was a great experience! They have a first haircut package where for a few dollars more, they give you a little card that contains a lock of your baby's hair and a picture of them after the cut. The woman who cut my son's hair did a fabulous job. She was very friendly towards him, and she was great and bringing toys out at the right time to distract him. (When she wanted him to look down, she pulled out a dinosaur toy that walked across the floor and roared! So cute.) He got to pick out a sticker from their prize chest at the end of his cut as well. He had a great time! The inside of the salon was very clean and cute. They had chairs shaped like vehicles for the kids, and they had a train table and some other toys in the waiting area. They also had some videos playing to distract the kids during their cuts. Not sure if it is a permanent promotion, but currently there is a discount if you go on a Wednesday. I can't not say anything anymore. This place has one decent stylist and the rest are abysmal. I don't know why I went back, the first time they butchered my kids hair I should had known but the next time the stylist actually followed directions. Yet today they destroyed it again. If you come here, write out directions, bring a picture, and hover repeating it over and over again. Out of 4 cuts 1 was good, was was pretty bad and two were horrendous. Thank god school pictures are far enough away he can grow it out for a few months. I really deserve this 1 star personally for going back there. I should have known better. Avoid. I am horrified at the EXTREMELY RUDE service we received FROM THE OWNER of this place. We brought our two year nephew for a simple haircut and she butchered it. It was so bad we just decided to leave before she could do any more damage. She actually said to us "it's the Asian style". Are you kidding me, how racist in assuming we would be happy with an answer like that when we asked if she could take a little more off the sides. She disregarded our wishes, talked rudely to my family , and never said a kind word to the frightened two year old in her seat. This is a wonderful place! My son hates getting his hair cut, and usually ends up in hysterics. We have gone twice now for my son's haircut and the person cutting my sons hair was quick with the cut, but stopped when needed to explain what was going on (letting him see the razor, when it was on) so there were no surprises. I live on the coast, but I will definitely be making this my go-to place for my son to get his haircut! This was his first haircut, and he cried the whole way through. However, the staff handled it with grace and gave him a great haircut! They kept him distracted with bubbles and toys! After the haircut, they took a Polaroid picture for us to take home as well as hair from his first haircut! This is a very cute place that is perfect for kids! I'm disappointed with the experience, especially since Tickle Clips was recommended by a friend. I'm absolutely sure they DID NOT have the Indonesian woman cut their toddler's hair. I can't imagine them being pleased with an uneven haircut complete with nicks on my son's neck and back. Yes, toddlers are squirmy but I expected them to use the appropriate shears and clippers with guards of some kind in place. My son developed a bacterial infection that originated from those nicks and he's now been on antibiotics for two weeks. This was my toddler's first haircut and it was memorable in the worst way. read more
