    Steve Miller and his company TicketBust gave me the worst experience a customer of any business can possibly get: (1) I got absolutely nothing for the money I paid; (2) I now have to suffer additional pain and annoyance to enforce their own refund policy. TicketBust failed to get my ticket dismissed (or my fine reduced, or my point taken off) but as their website says everywhere, they have a money back guarantee. FALSE. There is no money back guaranteed from this guy. Steve Miller himself informed me by email that my case was closed and he can't do anything for me. He didn't mention anything about my "money back." When I replied asking about it, Steve said he has to "review my file" and this will take weeks, even though Steve is the one who just gave me the final update on my ticket. Nowhere in the "money back guarantee" portion of the website does it mention Steve's refund review process. Also, Steve's claim of "we beat your ticket or your money back" is a lie. At most you will get back $100 out of $250. And that's only after Steve Miller conducts a multi-week review of your file to unearth any possible reason to not give you a refund. To any reasonable person who is minimally conversant in English, the phrase "Money Back Guarantee" means you are guaranteed to get back the money you paid if the service is not provided. To Steve Miller, "Money Back Guarantee" means you might possibly get 40% back, maybe. Steve keeps commenting below that the true "partial refund" terms of the guarantee are on his website. So why doesn't Steve just clearly say "Partial Refund POSSIBLE of only $100 out of 250" instead of burying it in a PDF doc? Why does Steve put "MONEY BACK GUARANTEE" on the website in big letters and advertise the company everywhere with "we beat your ticket or your money back." Feel free to explain, Steve. UPDATE: Steve denied my $100 refund even though I complied 100% with every thing I was asked to do by TicketBust. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and disputed the charge with my credit card. UPDATE #2: This company is no longer rated by the Better Business Bureau because they're under review. If you are still considering giving Steve Miller any of your money, please take a look at the disturbing number of complaints filed against him on bbb.org just in the last year alone.

    tl;dr: 5 stars for service and responsiveness, 3 stars as I lost my case…read more Got a red light ticket in Culver City: right turn on red, did not come to complete stop, light turned from yellow to red .41 seconds before I crossed the threshold, per the city's claim. Ticket was $500. Ticket Ninja said I had a good chance to win so I went forward. They sent me lots of info about how to handle the case and were responsive the whole way. I felt confident, but ultimately lost the written trial by declaration. TN has a guarantee, but to get it you have to continue the process to a new trial which I didn't mind doing. I went to trial de novo. To do this you have to go to court and schedule a date. TN sent me a lot of info before the court date with how things would go which gave me confidence. On my court date, I didn't have a cop going against me, it was just the goons from Culver City admin. They tried to pressure me into guilty plea ("to get traffic school for sure instead of risking it") but I held my ground thanks to the info TN gave me. I went to trial before the judge, who warned us that now that we chose to go to trial that traffic school is up to his discretion. After CC goons presented evidence, I read out loud the statement TN gave me. Unfortunately the judge ruled against me -- the argument was that you can't prove its me because the pic is grainy and sunglasses, but the judge just said "I think that's you, guilty." Then he offered me traffic school which I accepted. I got my memo from the court, sent it to TN, and got my refund within a week or two. Ultimately I didn't lose anything using TN but did learn a lot about the traffic court process. I give a 3/5 since I lost my case, but I still believe I received very good service from them and would consider using them in the future. Fun fact: My traffic judge was James Hahn, former mayor of LA. I heard he is kind of a hardass on traffic tickets so I guess that's just my luck.

Instead of a standard speeding ticket, it was escalated into something much more serious. Scott handled everything professionally and confidently, and ultimately got the ticket completely dismissed. That outcome alone speaks volumes about his expertise and effectiveness. On top of that, his pricing was extremely fair. I took the time to shop around and spoke with a couple of other ticket defense firms, and Scott offered the most reasonable rate by far. I didn't realize that having the CHP officer write the ticket for 21 mph over the speed limit would not allow me to go to driving school. I told Scott that all I wanted was to have the fine reduced for me to be able to go to school so my insurance would not go up. Scott totally understands the system, knew who my Officer was and shared some other details about my case. (Hire him and I'm sure he'll do the same for you). More importantly, Scott kept me informed of each and every thing he was doing, when he went to court , what motion he filed and said he may want to push the case out a few months. I was fine with his plan and his suggestions. I was even more surprised when he sent me a note to say that my case was dismissed and shared the link with the case information. I never met Scott, had one phone call and everything else was done via email. Definitely worth the price and honestly would have paid more because just the increase in my insurance would have been brutal. I know if I'm ever in that position again, Scott is my first call. I'm telling all my friends about him and what he did. Great service, excellent communication, amazing outcome. Scott is aces in my book.
