We walked in on a date night. We had never been to Tic Taco before. Kevin was behind the counter and he very clearly invited us over to his monitor to show us his best sellers. He had a whole presentation, it wasn't very long but he wanted to make sure we knew what was good. We settled on our items and ordered waters.... Was in Dallas on a Tuesday and wanted to find a good taco spot. I had noticed this place a few days earlier and finally gave it a shot. Glad we did. First off, shoutout to Kevin (not sure if he owns it or a rockstar employee), but the guy was awesome. Super friendly, walked us through the whole menu, gave us tips on what to try and how to mix and match stuff. He really made the experience. We started with the pineapple homemade water (so good) and the chorizo queso which both were on point. For tacos, we did a trio of asada x suadero and tried their fluffy tacos too. For fluffy we ended up getting all three the chipotle chicken, carnitas, and veggie. The chipotle chicken and veggie were easily my favorites. Tons of flavor and these fluffy shells were something I've never had before, light, crispy, incredibly flavorful and really unique. Also gotta mention the green salsa (nice heat!) and the pinto beans with what tasted like crumbled beef and bacon. I also wouldn't normally call out a side but seriously so flavorful I'd honestly order it as a soup if I could. Quick service, chill vibe, and some fun standout items. The tacos were solid, maybe not mind-blowing, but really good. Definitely one of my favorite random finds in Dallas. The fluffy tacos making my list for unique finds are worth the trip no matter where you're at in DFW you won't be disappointed. This place is a local gem, I am so glad they opened in central Arlington and have been here for a little while. I always get the quesabirria with a agua fresca which you can never go wrong with a horchata or the pineapple. The tacos are consistently crunchy on the outside and warm and gooey cheesy goodness in the middle, but add those chopped veggies and hot sauces -- it's game over. I started with Mexican Watermelon Water, which comes in a BIG glass and the right amount of ice. It's so good and smooth . I had to hold off drinking it down because it was going to help me wash down Lunch. The Quesabirria was amazing, it was amazing. It was not overcooked, and the tacos came with a side of cilantro, pickled onions, and regular onions. It's so good to dip your taco in the soup and go to town. The soup was amazing also. It also comes with a red and green hot sauce. Now, both come with a lot of heat and lots of flavor. If you can take the heat, go for it. So good. The #7 was three tacos, either corn or flour. I decided to go with the carnitas. Each taco was filled just right, and the dish came with cilantro, onions, and, of course, the Red and Green hot sauce. The side dishes of rice and beans. I ordered the Blue Fluffy Quesadilla with carnitas. It was really good. It tastes somewhat like a thicker empanadas. I really liked them. The rice and beans were tasty. My friend ordered the 3 Tic-Tacos. She had the Asada, Carnitas, and Suadero. She really liked the Suadero taco. She also really liked the rice and beans. I found this spot on Yelp. I craved Birrias for about 3 days. I went through several listings, then any, many, miney, moe, I chose this location. One reason it wasn't far from home. AMAZING. Our family went after mass this morning and we were very pleasantly surprised with the flavorful, perfectly cooked, and well presented food! We also got the queso chorizo but devoured it before I could take a picture. The service was great! The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming, and his wife was so kind and attentive. Worth the drive!! I bookmarked this spot as a place to try real (quesa)birria with lamb meat, and it did NOT disappoint (15/10)!!!! Kevin & Yessica were fantastic hosts and brought us some of their blue corn quesadillas (filled with cheese & pork carnitas- 8/10)... YUM! The quesabirria plate came with 3 tacos & a big bowl of comsomme, and white & purple onions and cilantro on the side with TWO yummy salsas and lime wedges too. We also ordered the chicken flautas & a burger with fries for the kiddo... and horchata and pineapple Fresca for drinks to wash all the tasty deliciousness down. I usually get a good parking space right infront but its located in a pretty busy strip mal area. We walked in 30 mins to close (unknowingly), as we had never been to or noticed this place before but apparently they've been open for 3 years & counting! The manager Kevin was extremely welcoming and friendly! We explained to him that we'd never been there before and he went above and beyond to show and explain the menu and all of their best sellers. We'd also explained that we simply wanted to try a taco or two, as we had just purchased dinner next door and were only trying to check the place out. We decided on trying the quesabirria tacos and to our surprise, Kevin went above and beyond to not only include a substantial discount, but he also included an additional queso asada taco with sides of rice and beans since it was our first time visiting! This generous gesture was so nice and unexpected. We ordered the food to go, however the tacos never made it home, as we were so eager to try them in the car lol.....needless to say everything we tasted was super fresh & absolutely delicious!!!
