I been going to this location for years only for the simple fact that it is up the street, and after today, I will NEVER be back. Took my mom here 2 weeks ago she hasn't had her nails done in years they made us both wait on one younger girl while they sat around in their phones. She was making sly disrespectful remarks about me the entire time. She refused to do the color I wanted initially insisting it would be "see through" and after she put an ugly bubble gum pink on me I begged her to just do my other color. She pinched my fingers hard removed it and did my color which turned out to me very cute. Today we went back and as soon as we walked through the door they started talking back and forth in their language. Which was highly rude. I could feel they were talking about me( and to let u guys know i am not a rude girl I have worked in customer service 7+ years I am very considerate of people doing me a service) Anyway the manager does my nails pinching my fingers the whole time, going through the motions very coldly tells me to wash my hands I come back she she starts painting my nails OVER HER SPIT UP SUNFLOWER SEEDS. The color was hideous. I thought it would've been more clear so hesitantly I offer her $5 to change the color she rolls her eyes and I walk over to get the cash from my mom and say aloud "She's rude ma. We should've went somewhere else." I get back to the table and she goes off! Checking me about how's she's not rude and how I always come up in there changing my color. (Mind u this is the first time I have gotten my nails done by her so she must've been talking about me) she told me (as she painting my nails) she should've refused my service. Now what an awkward position that put me in. No one even came over to turn the fans on for my nails to dry and the didn't offer to carry my belongings over so I chipped my nail in the process. All I'm saying is people not only pay for the service, they are paying for the experience too! I left here feeling very regretful and beat up almost. Take my advise, do not come here. read more

A sign is hanging in the window that says $15 for shellac nails. Cool. I walk in & they ask if I want a shellac manicure, I say yes, as I don't want a pedicure. End of the service & I'm charged $25 because of that word manicure. So it's $10 more because she lotioned my hands? Yeah, I don't think so. I came on a Friday night, and they were steady. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed here for a couple months, but the way they rushed through this time was enough for me that I'll never be back. This also isn't my first time with a bad nail experience but I decided to try again only to be disappointed again. The other reviews are correct, the shellac will not last the way other salons do. Terrible. Went in for a Christmas themed nails and the guy who did it did a terrible job. My nails were so thin they broke, the trees looked like bird poop essentially, and when I made him fix it he kept muttering under his breath in a language I didn't understand (probably bad talking about me). He also cut every single one of my fingers. Worst experience ever and now I never get a design done on my nails again because of him. You cannot even understand them. The workers all had attitudes with a lot of the people in there. My friend and I went in for a mani pedi. My friends got French tip and it wasn't even. The man in there was having an attitude with one of the ladies nails he was doing and another woman was having an attitude with her costumer. I was drying my nails and they basically told me to get out because I was making sure my nails were dry so they wouldn't get messed up. The lady doing my nails gave me an attitude. It's crowded and doesn't have a lot of space. Definitely not a good place to get nails done. read more

This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to!!! We had an appointment (called two days earlier) set for 6:30 for 3 people. We got there at 6:15 and sat until 7:15! A woman that was sitting before we even got there, asked if they were going to be able to take her soon and one of the employees was SO rude and said "it's Mothers' Day Weekend, it's busy! If you don't want to wait you will have to come back after the weekend". After I was finally taken to a chair and had my nails filled, I went to wash my hands before the polish and, like another Yelp user said, nothing was sanitized!! The nail scrub brushes were just sitting in a tiny basket. The tech also told me that my hands and nail beds were too small so any shape of nails except square would be "so ugly". I picked out a dark red/wine color and she said "this is (once again) 'so ugly', it's springtime!" I think this place is a complete ripoff and would discourage people from going. read more

This place has to be the most unsanitary, unprofessional and rude nail shop I have been to. My mother and I went to go get a full set and pedicure. The place was gross, I am a cosmetologist so I know all of the health codes they were breaking. Not to mention just the dirt and drippings all over the stations. I decided not to get a full set because of how gross they were, I just got a paint change and the woman told me not to look at her and had the audacity to ask for a tip that's so unprofessional . I am a 15 year customer, the pedicures are wonderful and I have had great success with my nails and if I break a nail, Susie fixes it right up. I have had to wait a while from time to time but it is well worth it. The people are friendly and the facility is clean. Great place to go. read more

Went to get gel ac nails done. First the sign said 18 dollars. I was like, oh wow that's a really good deal. Well...it turned out to be 32 dollars. Apparently the manicure is extra. Why clipping my cuticles and soaking my fingers is extra, idk. Worst gelac ever! It has been less than a week and the paint is chipping. Horrible job. I tipped the girl 10 dollars and never will I do that again! Wish we could add pics to this because my nails look horrible. read more

The owner Susie is very rude and talks down to her customers. After doing a service. I was not satisfied. She didn't like the fact that I didn't like my nails because she feels like she is an expert and can't make any mistakes. After I stated that I didn't like it, she talked to her employees about me in her native tongue. She thought I didn't understand her but I did. I would advise people not to go to her salon. Even though I've been going to her for a long time enough is enough. My money will be spent with a respectable nail tech. read more

This is my 3rd time here and am very satisfied with my nails. Suzie did them the last 2 times, they look great and lasted 3 wks before I needed a fill. The salon is very clean and that impressed me. The place I used to go to was not clean at all but I liked the guy that did them. This place is 5 min from my house and thats a plus. I think its like any business you have to find what you like. Everywhere you go they speak their own language its not just this place. But that has never bothered me, I dont sit there and think they are talking about me. If you do not know the price, it is okay to ask ahead of time, and they have no problem quoting you before they get started. First time here..... Received mani and pedi. Long wait, not sanitary around pedicure stations on the floor. Looks like they reuse disposable pedicure slippers. Tech went to grab some out of a drawer and I saw some with polish on them. The polish I chose was thick so it bubbled up on my nails and didn't dry even. Then, followed it up with a eyebrow waxing. First time I broke out from this. Not sue what happened, since the wax didn't feel too hot. Would not go here again. Would also caution others. This is my favorite nail place. I've been to 3-4 other places over the past year and Tic Tac is still the only place that I will return to frequently. I've been here at least 20-30 times and they are very consistent with their service and results. Most of the staff are very friendly (the ones who aren't overly friendly are just neutral, but not rude). They get you in fairly quickly (I've never waited more than 10 minutes) and the way they polish is impeccable...I'm always impressed with how perfect my polish looks when I leave. And considering the quality is very good for only $21 is an even bigger plus...I definitely recommend this salon. read more

Annette Harris Pace The was the worst nail experience I have ever had. The owner was very disrespectful and rude. I came to the shop at 9:34 am. There was one customer ahead of me, they proceeded to service other customers as they entered. I was cool with that since I was getting a pedicure (half a pedicure). After that the guy attempted to remove Shellac from my nails (half done). He got up and went to service another customer, they owner lady came to my table and proceeded to remove the remaining Shellac after about 10 minutes of me waiting. She then got up and went to service another customer. It is now 10:50 am, I asked why I am not being serviced, I have been here since 9:34, the owner stated you can pay me $30 for your pedicure and the removal of nail polish and go somewhere else and get your nails done. Wow, I was taken back, then she proceeded to say don't give me attitude you are a walk-in and the rest of the people have appointments, so you will have to wait or go somewhere else. I had never been spoken to in this manner. She proceeded to tell me that after she finish waxing another customer she will then service me. No, thank you....I paid the $30 (overpaid) and left the establishment. This was my second time there and of course I was going to be a steady customer, since I get my hair done in the same complex. I told my hairdresser about my experience and she too said they have heard how the owner speaks to people. When she went over there and asked about making an appointment, they told her they don't take any appointment. They may have made $30 dollars off my, but lost a lot more. My cousin recommended this place, she will not be attending there again and she will let others know as well. I am also reporting them to the BBB! Worst Experience Ever! read more

I went to Tic Tac in Westland just under an hour ago and I left so upset that I am writing my first review of a business ever. I have been to Tic Tac in the past because it is close to my home in Livonia. The first time being in 2017 for a pedi-mani. Service was fast and although hard to understand what was being said, they were friendly enough. Pleased with the service and price I have returned there on subsequent visits (3). It seems as if with each visit service was poorer, prices higher and service poorer. Today, because I needed service for a last minute event, I went to get a fill-in on acrylic nails. The woman I spoke with could not or would not take enough time from eating to speak to me with an empty mouth. Ok, bad manners. When asked what the cost would be for a fill-in I was given a number of prices based on this or that or the other which to me didn't seem to apply. I was then very abruptly told to pick a color even though I had yet to agree to their service. When I asked where were the colors she said very rudely, "They right in front of you, you blind or what?" Her voice was so loud that the other customers turned to look at me. I was totally embarrased and then became angry to think that this woman thought she had the right to speak to another human being with such disregard and disdain. Hmmm where do I start... I went in there for my first and LAST time today. I went in there to get old nails removed and acrylic over my natural nails. Very rough with hands, and very rude. Didn't push my cuticles back. Tried leaving an old nail and old acrylic on my thumbs when I payed an extra five dollars to remove my previous set, and even lied and said she removed it lol...that to me even seemed pricey and weird. Wouldn't stop pestering me about painting my nails when THREE times I said I wanted to paint them myself at home AND said I was in a hurry. I felt when I said I was in a hurry she started to slow down... -_- also she put super glue on my nails before applying acrylic! Wtf. FOR WHAT? I didn't have fake nails put on!!!! and to top it all off she clipped my natural nails that I have been trying to grow out for over a MONTH!! That I requested to not be touched!
