One of the few places that said they could help was OC of Texas. Unfortunately, her visit on April 30 became an emergency as she was on her last pair or two of daily's and was hoping for a quick turnaround. Bottom line, She finally received her prescription from the doctor on July 1, 2020. The "sample pair" of contacts that she was supposed to be wearing this whole time were not able to be picked up until a day or two before this fitting appointment. We understand that things have run amuck with Corona virus, just not THIS bad. We hope to NEVER have to return again. Sorely disappointed.

They put me through 2 different screenings and then with Dr. Rowe, My insurance paid for the visit, but when I got to the counter, I was told that I had to pay $250 for a "Contact Fitting session" appointment and if you don't pay the $250, they will NOT give you a copy of your lens prescription. I told the girl that this was never relayed to me before the visit, of course not, especially if they stand to make that chunk of change. AND then she said the visit would include fitting of disposable lenses which I never indicated I wanted. It made sense though, F you for $250 and then he chooses your lenses, and of course disposables will put more money in his pocket, now that's a WIN WIN for Dr. Rowe! F the patient. He has to pay off that nice white Porsche with your help! Don't be taken, my insurance was! It;s almost like you have get a written, signed document of procedures and costs,

I let them know that I had Lasix surgery done over 10 years ago (Mono-vision type with 1 close up eye and 1 for far away) and now I am needing "readers" to see close up. The Dr said "oh, we don't recommend Mon-vision Lasix in a condescending manner and seemed to almost snark. Then this pompous woman, who I found out later was the Dr's wife, was going to be writing the prescription. She was spouting "I do it this way" and "I do that" and I took the script and went on my merry way because I'd been there for nearly 2 hours and just wanted to get out of there. I went to the eye glass store and ordered 2 sets of glasses, clear and sunglasses. If you've purchased glasses lately you know they are not cheap, I purchased the extras, scratch resistance and polarized'' the works; spent nearly 1,300. When I got the glasses I was told it could take time to get used to them so I gave it time and found that I just couldn't use them. The Dr./his wife had written the prescription for both eyes to be corrected the same way, so now my close eye was trying to see far and my far away eye was trying to focus on closeup. This made it hard to drive and read to go back and forth, just very disorienting since my eyes had adjusted to mono-vision all these years . I called the Drs office to see if I could get the prescription re-written to account for the mono-vision and was told they just don't do that. Then, that same egotistic woman told me the only solution would be for me to just not drive'''' She was very rude, unhelpful and her lack of customer service skills show her inept ability to do her job. DO NOT USE THIS OPTHALMOLOGIST

I wanted to be objective when deciding where to have my cataract surgery, especially after comparing it to other clinics in town (including across the street and behind Dr. Peña's office). I received my cataract surgery within just 10 days of my first appointment, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. I'm so pleased with the results and the care I received. I'm even scheduled to go back next week for my other eye because I trust them completely. My overall experience was truly top-notch!
