Here's why I put Corley into my strongly trusted set of service companies... 3 guys from a DIFFERENT company stopped by saying while working on a neighbor's roof they saw a flashing on my roof that needed to be nailed down. I told them to go ahead and when they came down, they said my chimney cap was cracked and there was a good deal of rotting of the wood frame inside it. They had photos and quoted repair options from $7K to more than 3 times that amount. I called Corley to get their opinion, they came out within a day or two, and they said my chimney cap was 100% fine! It turns out, my chimney from my 100+ year old house doesn't even have a wooden frame inside it. And they pointed out a different problem, a real one -- I had a metal chimney flue and they saw it was rusted/cracked, but that wasn't in their menu of services . So not only did they save me from the fraudsters, but they saved me from potential damage from the damaged flue which I had fixed. And they didn't charge me a dime for this roof check. There was a time also within the first 5 years of my roof that some flashing or something slipped, and I did have a small leak. I called Corley, the roof was still under the 5 year warranty, and they fixed it promptly. So thank you Corley. When I hear people needing a roofer, I refer them to you.

During the second visit, I stopped asking for cost, just gave a to do list then paid with CashApp when done. Subsequent jobs it was hard to get a response as to day/time. Although he seemed nice at first, after the first visit, felt like he was annoyed by me or something. I brushed it off as resting b-face but then communication became harder. He gave an excuse of phone issues but it seemed to ding and dong when he was here. For today's list I pushed and prodded to get a day/time. I did say that I would be home all day in order to work around his schedule. He said arrival 9:30-10am. Great, errands popped up but I moved somethings around to accommodate his arrival. Well after no show/no call, he rings me at 11:50 to say 12:30-ish. At this point I'm done. Getting a response and day/time commitments wore me out. Why am I chasing behind someone to work? My lists are like $500 each and are less than 8 hours of work. Sadly the professionalism that we started with crumbled and died a slow death.

I had a plumber come in for a consultation so that I could buy a tank-less water heater. I paid…read morefor a consultation so that I could buy a water heater that fitted with my home set up. I did not want to have to make changes to my house. I wanted to get a system that was compatible with my current set up. He gave me his advice and I ordered a Rheem 36kw tank-less water heater as instructed. He installed it and the next day it blew a fuse. Ok, no biggie. A few days later, it cut off again and would not turn back on. Called in an electrician and it turns out that the plumber didn't know what he was talking about. The fuse in my disconnet box blew because he hooked up the water heater's electrical components dangerously incorrect. The Rheeem he suggested requires 4 double 40 breakers to power it. He hooked it up to 1 double 30 breaker. Of course the system was too strong for the breaker and the wiring. I'm grateful my house didn't catch on fire but now I need to changed the breakers, upgrade wiring, and add additional disconnects to work the system properly. F that plumber. I paid him to avoid this. Enter Mister Electrical to the rescue. The tech came out. He was professional and extremely respectful of my home, even took extra time to make sure he didn't leave a spot behind him. After examining the set up and talking with his senior, the tech said they would take some time to make sure they get it right. He didn't want to give me any misleading information. The Senior plumber, being made aware of my situation, took a few days to go over the manual and my set up to find the best course of action for my problem. After a few days, he came up with a solution to hook it up to 2 double 60 amp breakers and to run it at a lower setting (the normal power settings were far beyond what I could ever use... damn plumber). At the end of the day, I appreciate how Mister Electric took the time to find the best solution to my specific problem. They were always respectful of my home and money. They could have rightfully charged me $5000 to hook it up like the manual basic instruction. But they took the time and effort to learn the system and find a way to save me over $3000 dollars. We chose this company after shopping around, in part because we are a veteran family and wanted to…read moresupport a veteran-owned business. We signed and paid on a Wednesday, with work scheduled to begin Friday morning. I took off work and waited at the property. No one showed up and no one called. I had to contact the office myself to find out no one was coming. Work did not begin until the following Monday. Unfortunately, that was the beginning of a pattern that continued throughout the entire project. We repeatedly had to call for basic information about the status of our property. Calls went unanswered, promised callbacks did not happen, and we received vague or conflicting explanations about staffing and project status. At one point, a company employee called and had to ask us what condition our property was in and whether the house had running water. We should not have been responsible for updating the contractor's own staff on the status of their project. After the plumbing work was performed, we were told the remaining step was inspection and that the office would coordinate it. We waited, repeatedly followed up, and eventually contacted the permitting office ourselves. At that time, we were told there was no permit or application on file for our property. Meanwhile, an approximately eight-foot trench remained open in our front yard with plumbing exposed for weeks. After nearly a month of problems, we requested a refund and asked that no one from the company enter our property without authorization. The owner confirmed in writing that no one would do so. Despite that, workers arrived at the property without coordinating an arrival time with us. We received an automated notification that a technician was en route, but no inspection time had been provided. We had to call the inspection office ourselves and learned that the inspection window was 11 a.m.-1 p.m., although the company arrived hours earlier. When my husband questioned the technician about why they were there, the status of the project, and the conflicting information we had received, the company subsequently texted us accusing my husband of "harassing" the technician and stated that they had called the county and canceled the permit. This experience goes far beyond poor communication. It has involved a missed appointment, repeated failures to follow through, poor internal coordination, conflicting information, weeks of chasing answers about our own property, an extended open excavation, and ultimately being told the permit was canceled after we asked questions about what was happening. We have documented our communications, calls, property condition, and timeline. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

I knew the install would require cutting into drywall in a few places, so he was careful to make minimal, out-of-site cuts and put the drywall pieces back in place in a way that makes it easy to patch. The cleanup was also thorough.
