When you need knowledgeable licensed electricians, who provide excellent customer service in a timely manner, you cannot go wrong with John Goudie electricians. I purchased an induction cooktop in November 2017, the installers (who I won't mentioned) did not test the cooktop to see if it was operable prior to leaving. They came back, unhooked the cooktop and reinstalled, still did not work, they advised that the cooktop was defective. I contacted the store and they advised that they would order a replacement, but in the meantime, they would have the installers return with a temporary replacement. The same installers returned, uninstalled the so called "defective cooktop" and replaced it with the temporary one. Well low and behold, the temporary electic cooktop, which was not an induction cooktop, worked but it took it 30 minutes to boil water. The new cooktop came in and the store sent the same installers, they removed the temporary cooktop and installed the replacement induction cooktop. The new cooktop did not work, it was displaying the same code as the one it replaced. The installers advised me that I needed more voltage. To make a long story short, I was so sick of dealing with them, I decided to call a licensed electrician to determine the problem with the cooktop. I called John Goudie and spoke with Crystal on Jan. 2, she gave me an appointment for Jan 3. Ron and Chase arrived at the appointed time, I explained the problem, first they checked the voltage required for the cooktop, then tested the weight of the breaker wire, and looked at the installation manual. Well needless to say, the first installers did not know what they were doing, Ron and Chase solved my problem with the hour, the cooktop was hooked up incorrectly. They corrected the problem, tested the cooktop - no codes, put a pan of water on, it boiled in 30 seconds, like it's suppose to do.
I was a very happy camper, so big kudos to Ron and Chase of John Goudie Electrical Contractor. read more
