So nice, helpful, walk around to offer more drinks. Food: Pretzel bites are good. Pizza was not great. Nachos were bad (stale chips and toppings lacked). With that being said, saw other food that may be better. You are there for the drinks and games, stay simple on the food. Drinks: Great selection- cooler and on draft. Cold mugs. Cost: Entry is affordable- Under 7 free, 16 and under 7.50, adults $15. For the amount of games you'll play (all then free), definitely worth it. I'll start with my one and a half complaints: the layout seems to be a little awkward. They've changed it a few times and it seems to be getting better but it's still awkward. Personally, I think they'd do well to get rid of the action figures for sale and use that wall space for other things. My other (lesser) complaint is that no one seems to know about this place. So it seems like they really need to put some time & energy into marketing. I'd just love for more people to know about this place Now on to all of the good: decent selection of games and priced well for wristbands. The food is excellent, IMO. If you're looking for a place to take your kids that are a little too old for Chuck E Cheese, then this is a great spot. If you're trying to have a date night with cool games that isn't too pricey, then eat somewhere else and come here after 8 PM. Throwbacks has definitely cornered the market on game costs with $15 unlimited play for adults. They have multiple skeeball machines, tons of pinball, unique fighter games, and console gaming. The art and decor is definitely on point for vintage '90s arcade. It's a fun little spot. I'm not sure if I had the same food as the rest of these reviewers, but my food was...not good. Everything was undercooked and it took almost an hour to get the food. I think they were using an air fryer to cook everything, because my jalapeño poppers and tater tots were definitely not fried. My date's chicken sandwich was clearly a Sodexo frozen cafeteria chicken patty. The best thing we had was the chicken, bacon, ranch quesadilla, which was okay at best. The food is definitely geared more towards children or people who are super picky eaters. The parking lot is a little tricky especially if you drive a larger vehicle. It's also a very small place and people let their kids run wild. Definitely check it out later in the evening if you're not a huge fan of kids. Overall I'll definitely come back, because the unlimited gaming for $15 is a steal compared to every other barcade in the city and they have a pretty good variety of games. The name of the place is perfect... everything inside is a definite throwback to the days of old school arcade games and nostalgic toy displays. We got the Jags pizza and it's a lot of food for a great price and it's soooo so yummy. Totally recommend their speciality pizzas! They also make an effort to support local breweries & are vet owned. What a great place. Hits different- definitely has a vibe that feels like old school arcades. The staff was super friendly, food prices were very reasonable and above average for bar food (hot dogs, burgers, pizza, that kinda thing). Enjoyed the pizza personally (maybe too much haha!). The best part is the games though! Full of old school arcade machines- and you don't need coins! You buy a wristband and it's all you can play. Kids are $8, adults $16 and kids under 7 play free. My son requested to come here with friends last minute for his birthday. I had never heard of this place before so I did a quick yelp lookup and called Throwbacks to get a little more details. I spoke with Season who was super friendly and informative. I was even able to secure a last minute reservation for 8 ppl on Saturday afternoon! Upon arrival we were seated promptly. Our server Kelly quickly came over to take drink orders and gave the boys wristbands for the unlimited game play. The boys were off to play games! Kelly went over a few adult beverage options and even provided a sample of their Jags inspired libation for us parents. We weren't quite ready to order food at that point. Kelly just advised that we should order food maybe 20 minutes before we actually thought we should so we wouldn't be waiting long for the food to come out. She checked in with us periodically as we were around playing games and took our order. We kept it simple and order 2 pepperoni pizzas which were amazing might I add! Kelly was attentive and overall a great server! The prices are great! We fed 5 teenage boys, 2 adults, a toddler, plus unlimited throwback arcade games and modern video game play for $110! Where can you find good family fun at that price anymore! We will be back again and again! They are working on expanding their space and we are excited to see what they have in store. Updated my review as they have some kinks in their POS system. We never got a physical check - they just ran the card when we were done eating and we didn't notice it was incorrect until after we left. Everything is ordered on a small hand held device and our bartender had some issues with it which probably led to our order being incorrect. Definitely our mistake as it could have been fixed if we noticed it right away- so double check before you leave. read more

If you want to spend $15 a person for a bunch of machines (literally all except for the consoles and the punching bag) that dont work.. low quality food and the only drinks available are on tap beer.... This is your spot. Employees are nice but one was a bit suffocating (the greeter). The bartender was sweet but when asked about the mixed drinks she informed that they all taste like seltzer water basically. Finally had a chance to stop in and check this place out. First off, I'm very happy they exist, I am. The only surviving arcade is dave and busters and their prices are eyewatering and all their games are fancy and high tech. So with that said, throwbacks has the market cornered as the only well, traditional hole in the wall arcade. No prizes, no tickets, just games. As the only existing "real" arcade, I would like to see more than I did. Yes, they had a good selection of games. But I felt like the really big ones that could put this place on the map and draw crowds were missing. I didn't see streetfighter. Or soul caliber, or gauntlet. No Joe and Mac or rampage. How about tekken? I would kill to see a real life honest to g-d name brand DDR machine. A vintage one. With butterfly and paranoia. The machine that used to have a line 10 people deep behind it with their quarters lined up on the face of the machine and a crowd of spectators behind it at all times. I didn't even see bejeweled or other traditional bar games. They may still be around in other bars but their absence here seemed almost conspicuous- as did the absence of a dart board and a pool table. In addition the decor was lacking. A few props could go a long way in there. I feel they placed too much of an emphasis on food. Too many tables, not enough side tables or cup holders. Plus I don't want to say their food is overpriced-- it's overpriced everywhere now but if I'm paying $17 for a hamburger it better be kobe beef and it won't be served in an arcade. Prices are too high for me to have any tolerance for anything not awesome and let's be real, it's an arcade and bar- I don't expect awesome so I won't order at those prices. They're probably losing money carrying ingredients for that large of a menu because it was pretty extensive. They should serve food, but they don't need 5 pages of options and half the space dedicated to tables. Half of the arcade was devoted to bad karaoke. I don't know if its always like that or just when I was there, but I immediately lost interest in playing video games at all with the horrid crooning in the background. I just kept walking around wishing they'd get rid of everything in that room and fill it with games. The missing ones. . So, it's a complex review. 4 stars because I'm so happy throwbacks exists. Having access to an arcade is a huge deal to me and I'm old and very sad about how they've gone out of favor. But a lot of feedback that sounds negative but isn't, im trying to be constructive. It's important to me that throwbacks continues to exist. On a Saturday night i should have had to fight for the bartenders attention but there was nobody there. I know it's a rough economy but I also know of a video game themed bar in orlando that charges $9 a drink in this economy and you need to beat your way in with a stick-- throwbacks has that kind of potential and probably more due to its size and I want to see them realize it. read more

Check this place out. 80s kids (me) 90s weirdos. Millennials, Boomers. It's was so much fun. In town for a cruise took my 12 year old . I'm haven't played video games in years but got a wrist band (wrist band =free play) because he didn't know any of the games. Had such a great time he loved the old games and it brought back a ton of nostalgia for me. All the staff was so cool and welcoming. Ivy the bartender engaged with my son which was great. The place is all video games and lots of Star War figures. We came to check it out with our 8 yo grandson. For kids 8-15 yo is $7.50 unlimited use of the vid games (can't beat that!). There is a bar in the back and a menu that will make you want to order everything. We ordered the "Lumpia wth a Vengeance" ... out of this world!!! It's a Philippine Lumpia that will put to shame those fancy Filipino restaurants who has lumpia on their menu as well. The Lemon-Pepper Uncanny X-Wings was the best wings we've ever had. Crispy and not greasy or oily. And our side was the Green Salad. It arrived with sliced Grilled chicken which was a surprise. They have pizza, sandwiches, burgers, nachos galore. Help was fantastic and so was the food. It's been that way since they open from day one. We had the chicken strips the first time we went and they were fantastic!
