Gary, the owner, is an extremely nice man but, more important, is knowledgeable and helpful. It's easy to spend less money somewhere else, but it's difficult to find better clothing in the Pacific Northwest. The entire staff is just as knowledgeable - Roy in particular is exceptional. The clothing quality is great and the prices feel like you are also getting a steal. Love to support small second hand businesses :) They have a loyalty program too. Final sale for everything.

When I got to the hotel and unpacked my suitcase I discovered that I did not pack any pants! What an idiot. I had lots of shirts & underwear & gym clothes but no pants except for the sweat pant that I wore on the plane. So I of course Yelped to see where I could get some pants. The first place that came up was Nordstrom's so I went there and the cheapest pair they had was $89 bucks a pair. So I left there and just down the street I found this Pendleton store. I located a similarly priced man's shirt and was told by one sales clerk that an even exchange was fine. I went out to make a phone call and came back to finalize everything. A new sales clerk told me that she couldn't do an even exchange since the to be acquired shirt was no longer on sale and that I would have to pay full price. This made no sense as when I shopped at the store, both shirts were on sale. She called her manager and they would not do an even exchange as it was no longer on sale. I decided to just get my money back and never ever shop there again.

At one point I approached the clerk and asked about where to look for the sizes (plus) and how the vintage racks are set up. Daughter is not looking happy and depressed. Avoid the vintage racks if you are on the plus side, there is nothing there. A couple of dresses were pointed out in the window. It seemed like more effort/time was aimed at friends that came in. Once everyone else left the clerk did start to help dd look for items in her size. And she finally tried on a few pieces. The gargoyle we secretly purchased was a hit by the way. The store attendant ask what I was looking for and took my neck and sleeve size and then directed me to the shirt that should fit me. She pulled out a shirt and directed me to the dressing room to try the shirt on and advised me to come out when I had it on to see if it fit or what adjustments would be needed. She must have a good eye because it fit almost perfect. Not complaining being a bigger guy it's not easy finding shirts that fit well. I was very happy with these shirt so I bought 3 for now. Plus there was a sale if you bought 2 or more.
