My husband and I recently moved back to the east coast and I used to do barre routinely in California and Hawaii. After a lull in working out, we were honestly dreading getting back to class as we knew we were super out of shape. The ladies (and one guy!) there however were friendly and helpful, and we didnt feel judged or looked down on because we were definitely at the bottom of the class in terms of fitness. I love the upbeat music, passionate instructors, and inventive routines to mix cardio, low impact isometrics, and weights while having fun. Even after just 5 classes, I've noticed a huge improvement in my tone and my strength. Getting back to barre has made me think more about my hydration, nutrition, and other healthy habits, and has been a needed reset in my self-care routine. I love that they have free classes for guys on fridays, margaritas after class once a week, and a motivating barre countdown for people who routinely attend. They frequently come around during the barre classes to correct form and make sure your alignment is correct for maximum benefits and to prevent injuries. The studio has a wide array of class times, including morning, mid-day, evening, and weekends. Studio barre is truly a wonderful place that you can enjoy an hour of time just for yourself! I highly recommend and will visit if back in the Newport area.

She has opened up a new world by teaching me about my body and how to use it efficiently. I feel muscles now that I never knew I had. When she re-introduced me to PIlates, it was part of a life changing phenomenon which slowly and steadily eliminated decades of back pain. Her laser focus in making assessments about my body then programming my fitness accordingly is as much an art as it is a science. At 68 years old, I feel stronger than I did when I was young. I now have more flexibility, stability and physical confidence than I have in years. She has helped me recover through various orthopedic surgeries with Pilates and other techniques - all more successfully than the required physical therapies. She also takes care of my overall well-being in subtle ways and deeply understands the connection between physical, emotional, and mental health. In the two years that I trained with him I noticed my core strength increased and my overall body tone improved. He has a broad understanding of fitness and clearly keeps up on the latest exercise science and finds a way to incorporate this knowledge into his training techniques and instruction. Ryan makes working out fun! Training with Ryan made fitness a pleasure, rather than a chore. When I started working with Ryan in 2022, I had taken a short hiatus from fitness due to the constraints of the pandemic and the limitations of my schedule at that time.
