Dr. Gordon is absolutely wonderful. A trusted friend referred me to him for my 4.5-year-old…read morePembroke Welsh Corgi's neutering procedure and dental cleaning. I'm a first-time pet owner, and this was my first time having my dog go under anesthesia. I know these are very standard procedures, but I was extremely nervous about all of it. During the initial exam, Dr. Gordon discovered a bladder stone as well. He clearly explained the treatment options and made thoughtful recommendations for next steps. After the exam, he personally emailed the lab and bloodwork results and answered all my follow-up questions quickly and kindly. The surgery itself went very smoothly. Dr. Gordon and his team gave clear instructions for after-care. At the end of the procedure day, Dr. Gordon emailed to check in on my dog, and he checked in again a couple of days later. I sent him updates and photos of the incision site, and he responded each time with helpful feedback. I also sent updates on day 5 (when we finished post-op medications) and again on day 10. He reviewed the photos and provided his insights. My dog's recovery was overall very smooth, and as of day 10, he has been cleared of the donut! It was far beyond my expectations for Dr. Gordon to provide so much personal follow-up outside of our clinic visits. He genuinely cared about how my dog was doing, and I'm very grateful for that level of care. Additional details: - Parking: Free parking available; the clinic is up a flight of stairs. - Check-in/Wait Time: Both our exam and surgery check-ins were quick and the wait time was minimal. - Communication: Communication with the front desk was clear and easy via email, text, and phone. - Clinic: The space is very nice and clean. - Wi-Fi: They have guest Wi-Fi, which was helpful as my cell service wasn't great in the area. - Cost: Prices are on the higher end, but I feel it's completely worth it for the attentive care and peace of mind. - Staff: The front office staff and nurses were all kind and helpful. I'm an anxious person, and they were so patient with me, which I really appreciate! My dog is skeptical of new people but can be won over with treats, and the staff offered him treats with my permission to help him feel comfortable. I will absolutely return to Dr. Gordon for future care. And I should note that I live about 60 miles away, but having such wonderful care and reassurance is worth the drive. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Gordon to fellow pet owners!

They are always super responsive and incredibly accommodating. I really appreciate that they text me ahead of time within their arrival window so I can plan around errands or make sure I'm home -- that level of communication alone sets them apart. During visits, I never feel rushed. They truly take their time and meet Dory where she's at. Sometimes Dory can be a little anxious with acupuncture, and instead of forcing anything, we work together to find different ways to make the session as calm and stress-free as possible. The vet is open, honest, and collaborative -- I never feel upsold or pressured into anything. The results have been amazing. I noticed a huge improvement even after the very first (mini) session. Dory is 13 years old, and her hind legs had been very tight and clearly bothering her. Since starting acupuncture every two weeks, her hind legs look so much better. She's running up the stairs again, pulling me on walks, and even jumped off the bed last week -- things I honestly didn't expect to see again. What I also really value is that Sunnyside Vet works with my regular vet. They communicate, listen to what my primary vet has to say, and truly function as a team with one goal: doing what's best for Dory. They were also very honest about treatment frequency, explaining that some pets need less and some need more, which I appreciated. If you're even considering acupuncture or mobile veterinary care, I highly recommend at least calling Sunnyside Vet for an initial visit. They've made such a positive difference in my older baby's quality of life, and I'm incredibly grateful.

I wouldn't recommend this vet. They were nice and polite, however what happened with my senior…read moredog's care was unacceptable. My dog has a UTI and we were prescribed Amoxi/Clav based on culture results. I told Dr Miyata we had an existing bottle in the fridge from a prior emergency visit. I sent a picture, and she approved us using it. It had been reconstituted 24 days earlier (dispense date was in the picture), but since it was refrigerated and the vet said it was okay, I trusted her guidance. When I went to the pharmacy for a refill, I was told that liquid Amoxi/Clav expires 10 days after reconstitution, even in the refrigerator. So that means that my dog received ineffective medication this entire time. If I hadn't picked up a refill, I would never have known. When I notified the vet, she said she was "under the impression the bottle wasn't reconstituted." Huh?! But in the picture, the medication was clearly a liquid suspension, refrigerated, labeled "shake well," and had the dispense date. I have NEVER been dispensed Amoxi/Clav in powder form in my life. The explanation felt more like avoiding responsibility than acknowledging what happened. My dog is extremely fragile with CKD. We cannot afford delays or ineffective medication. This isn't about whether the outcome changes; it's about basic medical standards. You don't throw a lifejacket with holes to someone who's drowning just because they're already drowning. Expired or ineffective medication should never be approved. This felt negligent and dismissive, and that's why I can't trust this vet. I get that mistakes happen -- maybe she didn't look at the picture closely. We're all human. But what matters is owning them, being transparent, and correcting them. Instead, I was met with an explanation that didn't make sense at all and minimized what happened.

Sunstone Animal Hospital - Dr. Meredith is my Hero!

Sunstone Animal Hospital

(36 reviews)

Disclaimer: This is a long/detailed review to help anyone who has pets with similar health issues…read moreand concerns. Thank you Sunstone Animal Hospital, for providing my senior pups with quality and compassionate care for almost 2 years now! Finding a consistently stable, professional, and compassionate vet clinic is like winning the lottery, and I truly think I won that lottery after finding this hospital. I have been visiting this hospital since May 2024. I have 2 senior dogs who are 18 and 10 years old. I have had my 18 year old since 2007 and my 10 year old since 2016, and I hadn't been able to find a good, consistent vet in FV/HB until now. I've been to so many FV/HB vets throughout the years, but I am disappointed and unimpressed with the inconsistent care from all of them due to many factors, including vet staff changes, bad bedside manner from vets, aggressive/pushy behavior from vets and vet staff, ridiculous wait times, overpriced services, and constant upselling of unnecessary treatments and products. Last year, my dog who is 18 now (16 at the time) needed tooth extraction surgery and cleaning due to his tooth root abscess infection that would flare up every couple of months (his cheek would pop and look fleshy). I was very hesitant and nervous about putting him under for surgery, but after completing the necessary pre-surgery procedures to prepare him and due to Dr. Meredith Bronner's experience and informative discussions I felt confident about the surgery. He had a heart murmur, so he needed an echocardiogram to ensure he was a good candidate for this surgery, along with bloodwork, X-rays, and other tests. The surgery was successful, and he's doing amazing for a super senior pup now. My other 10 year old dog recently had successful tooth extraction surgery and cherry eye removal surgery (both procedures done the same day) in September 2025, and she's doing amazing as well. Dr. Meredith Bronner did an excellent job with the cherry eye procedure, and Dr. Paige Coughlin did a phenomenal job on the dental extraction surgery. I am so happy the surgeries were successful, and like my other pup, she had all recommended pre-surgery work done. She's a Chihuahua who had already lost a lot of her teeth on their own over the last 2 years due to rotting. Once her cheek started to puff up and look like beginning symptoms of tooth root abscess infection, I knew it was time. She was in a lot of pain from her diseased teeth and started struggling to eat, so surgery was the best treatment for her. Since she is almost toothless now after her surgery, she is able to eat wet food that I spray with water/bone broth and turkey slices cut into small pieces. She is thriving now. The walls of this clinic are painted with beautiful cool colors in the lobby and the exam rooms, which I think is so nice compared to the sterile, typical white walls of most hospitals. The vet staff Taylor, Lauren, and Alex, who I've met many times throughout these two years, have been so sweet and kind to me and my pets and are skilled at what they do. I've never been to a more welcoming, trustworthy, and compassionate vet hospital in 18 years of having pets. Dr. Bronner and Dr. Coughlin are competent, understanding, and communicative vets who have provided my pets with the highest quality of care, and I am truly thankful for their expertise and services. Getting my dogs quality treatment and care is the best thing I can do for them during this stage in their lives as seniors. Sunstone has very fair and reasonable pricing for their services compared to all of the clinics I've been to in FV/HB. Surgery is a big deal and comes with many risks, so I'm thankful these doctors were patient with me and did not rush any of it. Aside from the successful surgeries, I've been to this hospital at least 25 to 30 times in the last 2 years for checkups and treatments, since my senior dogs don't bounce back as quickly. Cytopoint injections for itchiness, rabies vaccines, pre-surgery bloodwork and X-rays, digestive issues/diarrhea, and random allergic reactions are some of the hiccups my dogs have had that Sunstone successfully treated. All of the services, treatments, and products I have purchased here have been absolutely necessary to the improvement of my pets' health so I have not wasted any money or time since I started visiting this clinic in May 2024. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants quality care for their pets.

She came highly recommended by a few friends, and has been consistently taking care of our beloved Charlie for the past 4 years. When Kim first started massaging Charlie, he had difficulty walking up stairs or going on moderate walks and was prescribed Gabapentin, Tramadol, Carpeofen, and more because of hip, knee and arthritis pain. For several years now, he no longer takes ANYTHING other than thyroid medication. The moment she pulls up he's wagging his tail with excitement. When she comes in and sets up shop (a comfortable blanket, music, oils) he immediately assumes position by laying down--no coaxing needed! Her magic hands transport him to doggie heaven, and her regular visits have helped literally reverse time. She really does have a gift, and I'm so grateful she's able to share it with our favorite son (we have six human sons). She's become like a member of our family and I would gladly recommend her to anyone!
