I've meet the most horrible oral surgeons in my time. Dr. Erakat is the best. He greeted me and my husband with open arms. He explained everything to me and I'm so calm. I'll be heavenly sedated so I'll need a ride home. Dr. Erakat didn't make me feel stupid and I'm eager to get my surgery over this Monday Just remember if you want to acquire about his service. Make sure that you have a PPO insurance and not a DMO.. I want to futher explain about insurance. Insurance can be an complete nightmare. Having an DMO plan leaves you to only the providers that your insurance picks. Those dental/surgeons don't always have your best interest at heart. Call your insurance company and make sure you have the best they have to offer. Edit: 1/28/19 I'm home now and my surgery went amazing. Dr. Erakat and his team stayed right by my side. He started me off with laughing gas. As I was relaxing he was telling my husband everything about after care. I remember him telling my husband I was going out and he will call me back in. I've been a patient for a few years, and today was awesome…read more I'm one of those who needs 8+ Novocain shots--trust me, I've spent hours after each little shot, wait 15 min, start, OUCH. Repeat. Dr. Tull knows me. I received a prescription for anxiety beforehand. I was on the chair for 4 hours today--so yes, there was much to be done between replacing the last of my silver fillings, getting a crown, fixing a chipped tooth. Then getting a cleaning & checkup for my spouse, 19m old, and 3.75y old. It was a LONG day. This was the easiest session ever. I was relaxed, the new mouth opener+suction thing is awesome because you aren't doing your best to keep your mouth open while there are multiple fingers, tubes, and machines in your jaw while you're freaking out. My teeth are good & Lekha & her staff are awesome. Cheap? No. She isn't on an insurance network, but will bill your insurance company as out of network. Wageworks is accepted. If you need to pay out of pocket, she will work with you on a payment plan. Plus, she's nice. Her staff has been with her during all of my visits over the past 4 years--low turnover is a good sign. My kids were either on unusually good behaviour, or they all kept them relaxed. For first check ups. There are also toys in the waiting room. She has all of the new gadgets , so if you really need a crown, guess what--it can be done in a single visit. I have a video of the machine making the first crown I had her replace. As a perfectionist, the first wasn't perfect, she redid it. That same day. No waiting a week or more, returning, then having a crappy one that has to be re-cemented regularly. Highly recommended, particularly if you hate going to the dentist.

I faced outrageous treatment when I took my daughter who chipped her front tooth to this doctor. It…read morewas a costly job so initially I was relieved when the friendly staff told me that they have a credit plan that they can offer me and that they offer to all their regular patients. However, once the doctor who had not heard my conversation with the staff glanced at me from down the hall everything changed. He walked over to the the people at the front desk and let them know that he could not offer me any credit. Suddenly, the offer of credit that the that his staff had offered was withdrawn. I had a history of paying him in full in the past for smaller jobs so there was no logical reason for this reversal. I believe I was denied the service that they typically give "all" their patients ...remember that's what the administrative staff told me ..because of the color of my skin. I believe they withdrew the offer because the doctor saw that I was black. The timing was almost immediate. When I confronted the staff with my beliefs they just laughed at me and said that I was ridiculous but could give no other logical explanation. If you are someone doesn't wish to support businesses that treat people differently based on their appearance stay away from this guy.

I've been to this guy for 2 root canals(yes, I brush my teeth OBSESSIVELY and still have to get…read moresh*t like that done! djfhskd!) anyway, I wouldn't go to any other endodontist--this guy is Cool with a capital 'C'...he has tons of Yankees and Rangers memorabilia up in his office(those are 2 of my favorite sports teams), and plays the best music while he works(for my first RC, he put on a Stones record--it was only a little bit disconcerting to have him drilling away to the beat haha, and now I'll never hear "Wild Horses" without wincing a little, but it was terrific!)... he always makes me feel completely at ease, keeping up a pleasant banter throughout the operation, and he's really up on things--music, sports, everything! he's constantly joking with his hygenists, and they're always super-friendly, as well... the best thing about Fenster is that he remembers stuff about his patients--he takes the time to get to know you and actually gives pretty good advice(the last time I was in there, he lectured me on going back to college lol) anyway, I hate going to the dentist...I loathe and fear any kind of dental work, but at least going to his office detracts from a little bit of the nervousness and dread!
