There is always something seasonal whether that is late-year holidays, spring decor, or nifty merch in line with the local sportsball teams. You can easily spend wayyyy too much time in here, maybe leafing through some fun books or admiring the handmades & artisanal jewelry. Their jewelry section, which is mostly earrings and accent rings, is sourced from artisans both locally and regionally. I tend to pick up a stocking stuffer here just about every time I'm in because I know I'm not going to find those exact pieces anywhere else. Detail: the up-cycled clothes, such as Chiefs-themed distressed jeans, are ridiculously cool. The prices may be a touch more here and there, but you aren't likely to find some of those items elsewhere and therein lies the real value. Add in that the staff is always friendly and welcoming and the whole place has a happy feel. Parking is, well, Brookside, so get out and browse. Just know that your browsing may end up being more of an extended visit, just like when we stop in.

From its fantastic selection of name brand, in tip top shape, lightly used designer goods to the wide variety of unique and local gifts to surprise any hostess or birthday girl or bride to be...or heck just about anyone youre looking to impress. If you are looking for a store that'll make you beam ear to ear because not only are you being kind to the environment you are also simultaneously supporting children and dogs in need in the immediate kcmo metro area then, DO GOOD CO is for you. It's one of those specialty vintage shops that never feels pretentious but does feel exclusive, and I absolutely love that for the downtown KC area. Sells stuff you can find at target, walmart, jcpenny, etc. Prices are okay. Overall nothing to write home about in terms of what they have to offer. Store is blatantly religiously affiliated, if that matters to any potential customers, and they will be playing christian radio stations. My biggest gripe with this business is the uncomfortable customer service experience. The person working the counter claimed i "messed up the racks" by looking at items? I was the only customer in the store at the time, but I wasnt ripping through racks by any means and actively made sure to leave items/racks how they were, so i genuinely dont understand what this comment was made for. It felt uncomfortable and inappropriate to be addressed this way, almost in a disciplinary manner. I absolutely understand wanting to keep the store organized and being upset that you just finished reorganizing things, but this is a store where people will be shopping. If you cant handle people simply looking at clothes, then maybe you shouldnt own/work a clothing store ! I was at a store next-door to this business so I decided to drop in and see what they had. The…read moreService was very friendly and I was greeted upon entering the store and told that they had a 40% off sale. So I looked through the various racks of clothing and women's purses, etc. I ended up purchasing two sport tank tops. One was a Nike and another one was an Eddie Bauer. After the 40% off, I believe my purchase came to around $12. They have a wide selection of clothing, but quite a few of it was not my style. I believe this shop is for women that are probably late 30s and older. I tend to buy more clothing that is current with the trends as long as they look nice on me and I only saw a few jeans and a couple shirts that looked a little bit more modern. The shop was busy and the sales lady was exceptional in helping anyone that needed it. I would say the reason I did not give it a five star, is that there were several shirts that I looked at and I was interested in but they had stains on them. The clothing looked clean and pressed, but they probably should not have accepted those items for resale. This is a resell women's clothing store. It seems like they have quite a few 40 to 50% off sales. When I was checking out, she was telling me that there was going to be a 50% off sale the next day.

I was at this store today trying to find fabrics to match a Christmas project I'm working on and…read morenotions for several other projects. No quilts, but things that still require thread and fabric. Their selection of thread is abysmal. Their notions section is tiny. And, their fabric choices are limited, to say the least. I was trying to find green fabric to use as a backing for a tree skirt. While there are MANY shades of green, I hoped to find MANY of them today to compare with what I already have. The three greens I found (yeah, just 3!) were not even close; in fact, they were nothing I would want to use on a Christmas project. As far as customer service goes, it was non-existent. Not a single person offered me help. The cute little puppy in the doorway (the one I almost tripped over when I walked in) got a LOT of attention, though. I guess the staff's priorities are just different than mine.
