We also had to have our nearly 17 year old jack russell "Jake" put to sleep and once again they did it with kindness and dignity. We would recommend them very very highly. I used this surgery all through my childhood/ teenage years and my family still do. They have given my mum huge help through difficult illnesses with her pets. On boxing day before we moved back to the area, our dog ripped her face open in the woods and we used the out of hours emergency service at Swayne and Partners. The vet was absolutely lovely and you wouldn't have known that our dumb mutt had ripped him away from his family! Highly recommended.

Despite the website stating direct claims with insurance companies can be agreed I was told no and payment is required every 24 hours. I challenged the lie we were told by the clinical director and she ignored it. A complaint was raised and I received what appears to be a copy and paste mission statement. Despite being with the vets for 14 years and paying thousands of pounds in bills on time they simply don't care. Money is the one and only focus of this practice and not the pet's immediate care. We have thankfully found a family run practice with the best interests of our pets at heart. To say I'm disgusted is an understatement.

She told me they were fantastic and didn't charge the earth. A couple of months later my dog was having breathing problems and I thought I would give them a try as I don't much care for the vet I normally use. Cedarwoods vets were fantastic nothing was too much trouble they respected my decision not to have her exrayed with her breathing being so bad (they would have had to put her to sleep to do this). We was going on holiday the following week if the dog was better and they managed to fit me in on the Monday morning to check her over before we went. I can't praise this Vets practice enough. Overall I had 8 visits with treatment on all but one visit and blood tests this was just short of £250-00 which I thought was excellent value. Well worth a visit if you need a friendly vet who doesn't charge the earth and is willing to spend time explaining things to you.

I moved my elderly dog from Three Rivers after an appalling series of experiences…read more During an examination, a vet pulled and manipulated his limbs so forcefully that he was yowling in pain, insisting his range of motion had to be checked. My new vet and his physiotherapist were shocked when I later described what happened. He is now extremely distressed about having his limbs handled. This was followed by multiple medication errors which the practice later admitted in writing: prescribed medication was not dispensed, the wrong quantity of another medication was supplied, and there was a serious error on a medication label which could have left my dog in considerable pain had I not thought to question it myself. Their investigation also uncovered a further prescribing error involving a Controlled Drug. I also found their charges extremely high, which made the standard of service I received even harder to accept. Their handling of my complaint was equally disappointing. Despite their own investigation confirming multiple errors, they ultimately refused to address my remaining concerns and told me that further discussion would not be productive. I deeply regret trusting this practice with my dog and have moved his care elsewhere.

Three Rivers Vets are all about seeing how much money they can take from you. It's as they have…read morebeen saying on TV and other news articles, vets that are part of a big group charge way more than independent vets. I had all three of my dogs with them, one puppy and two much older dogs. My Gordon Setter (one of the older dogs) has a weak bladder and so has to take Propalin for this. The vets charge £90 for 100ml, give or take a pound, but it sells online at Animed for £29. Obviously I get it online so need the vets to write me a prescription. I phoned Three Rivers to get this and was told my dog hadn't been seen by the vet for awhile so needed to book an appointment to see the vet before they would issue one (I appreciate this is normal with all vets that they have to have seen them within 6 months). I asked if this would be a full appointment (I was registered to a vets in Nottingham when I was there and they would charge a small nominal charge for this) to which I was told it would be. So to get the repeat prescription I would have to pay them £60 for the appointment and £30 for the prescription. I then phoned Kessingland Vets which are just down the road (and they have parking, where as Three Rivers you have to try and find a space on a busy road to park) from Three Rivers and they would charge £19.50 for a short vet consultation and £15 for the prescription.. that's a difference of £55.50! I decided to move all three dogs to Kessingland Vets. I canceled all upcoming appointments and I wanted to cancel my puppies pet plan as well. They said I had to pay the last two months installments if I wanted to cancel. I said that I had worm and flea tablets owed then as they were due. They refused to give them to me even though I was paying for them. I ended up leaving my puppy registered with them for the next month and then moved her after I had received her tablets. I also had her spaying op done at the new vets as it was cheaper there even without the pet plan discount, plus Three Rivers were trying to upsell so many extras that weren't really needed which would have cost a few hundred pounds more. I certainly wouldn't recommend Three Rivers Vet group to any one and I would urge anyone registered with them to check the price difference with other local vets that aren't part of a large private equity group.
