The typical categories are dumplings, pizza, chicken wings, burritos, coffee, sandwiches, and croissants. There is even a yearly competition in SF for the best overall flakey croissant. Every year there is a new winner. This place is a worthy competitor and it's always demand on the weekends and it's called Butter and Crumble. On the last weekend of the Summer stroll I landed on Francisco street. You will see a line and once inside you will find lots of bake goods. I ordered the classic croissant and it was flakey like some in SF. It was buttery and tasty. I also got the Corn Proscuitto Croissant and was corny like some on social media feed. I then got the Rice Roll Special Bun which was my favorite and it was savory with lots flavor. I washed it all down with Apple Pie Matcha for Don Juan De La Matcha. In my judgement Butter and Crumble is one of the best bakery in the city. Up early you have to "wake" to grab some desserts they "bake" and "make "some croissants in SF which "flake" So many places with flakey croissants in SF I "stumble"some are flashy some are "humble"others like to debate and ready to "rumble" and defend their favorite croissant in SF whether is Juniper, Arsicault or "Butter and Crumble"

I have been here numerous times and the staff here are busy, sometimes you'll even see the owner is working and her dad too. They try to move line fast and set expectations outside the line with what's running low and sold out. What is great about this place is their everchanging menu and specials. It's good if you want variety however if you love something already, it may be gone next month. Yesterday we picked up 4 pastries, rice and roll $12, vanilla apple cruffin $8, patatas bravas $10 , and coffee tahini croissant $9. Better eaten fresh and crisp asap, as it gets soggy at home. Rice and roll and patatas are too salty for me, cruffin is good like apple pie, and i like the coffee choc croissant the most. They sell a lot of merch and coffee too.

I was surprised by how much their selection has expanded since my last visit. They now offer a great variety of sushi, sashimi, and other fresh options, and everything looked delicious. My mom said her salmon sashimi was incredibly fresh and sweet. I really enjoyed my salmon salad bowl, it came with avocado, cucumber, edamame, and seaweed. It was light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm day. My only complaint is that the portion was a little small. I honestly could've eaten two bowls! Lol! This place is small but clean and well organized, and the customer service was friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely come back for another fresh and satisfying meal.

They were the only business in that building on Washington Street before moving to their longtime store on Stockton between Clay and Sacramento, across the street from the Chinatown post office. About seven years ago, likely due to a rent hike, they moved to this location on Clay Street, one building below Stockton Street. They are known for their preserved meats, such as sausages, pork belly, duck, and a variety of legs, wings, and even a pressed duck. In traditional Cantonese cuisine, these are often used in steaming over pork or rice to pass those flavors into those foods. My dad used to stop here after his weekday Chinatown lunches and bring an assortment of meats home and ask the caregiver to steam them as mentioned as a dinner dish. Recent years, my friends from Hawaii stop here when visiting to bring items they can't find on the islands home, freezing some as emergency food. ** Side note, the family is continuing their legacy in other ways with the daughter being a James Beard touted baker who has a store and restaurant in the City.
