Update: I would like to take this time to sift through the lies and misleading information the manager posted.
I was told that military did not have to pay a security deposit. This was advertised as well as referrals back in the day. Neither were honored. Bringing up other fees is a mute point because that isn't what I addressed. I specifically remember the line, "Dont worry about the security deposit, you'll get that back anyway"
I filed a complaint with the BBB. The response from Three Oaks was a complete lie. We had done the walk around with the property manager. Going room to room, shelf to shelf. We were told we were good. Everything* was in order. Weeks later We were given list of outlandish fees such as stove pans, ($50) that were five dollars at the local Walmart. That we replaced. We also did not leave food or anything behind as we did a walkthrough. This would have been found and makes no sense. We paid the pet fee mistakenly through cash and were constantly reminding them of that until it was manipulated that was never paid it. Moreover a $400 pet fee should cover any cleaning cost. I had about $800 in my resident account that was taken without my consent. The BBbs response was issues of the apartments conditions as well. More misleading
As far as the sublease. I was told a qualified individual applied and signed the papers. This was untrue. Weeks went by where I could have found someone else. When the individual backed out, I was left with the consequences. Given this apartment comped reputation, they do no favors so not having to fight them legally for the rest of the lease should be proof enough. When we pressed the issue, contradicting information such as DNA laws forcing two weeks of gaps, or subleasing being illegal after the fact. Regardless of what happened, it was completely unprofessional to blind-side as such.
The managers breakdown makes no sense as well. Given I was charged for cleaning, flea, and my lease. Totaling a refund from a account with only 140 in it. Or what she highlighted. More lies, more misleading information.
This manger is more or less reviewing notes from years ago trying to make them out to be reasonable. They are not. I wrote this review because I have had many* airmen tell me they were charged from everything from carpet removal to disinfecting services ranging all the way to a grand. Once pictures or invoices or asked for they scramble. There is no mistake this place would be hit heavily from an internal review. The managers response to my comment is also highlights the lies and manipulation you can find accustomed here.
I post this as over the past five years they have continued their unacceptable behavior and have hurt airmen dear to me. Also, when I reported them to the BBB they flat out lied and said I had left food and item behind. Considering we did a walkthrough, (which they won't give you a signed list then and there to scam you later) this is untruthful. Airmen have gone on base and attempted to get this apartment complex blacklisted. When I spoke with an on base lawyer I was told they are good at what they do and it's hard to fight. Not worth the time. Please continue to let the airmen family and readiness center know about these people. read more
