The door at the back of the parking lot is where we entered into what appears to be an old dance hall/bar. One person was working the place, meaning she was the bar tender, waitress, bus person, and cook. Needless to say it took a very long time for the food to come out. She warned us though that it'd be a while. The food itself was outstanding. The sandwich was packed with meat and there was no skimping on my buddies salad either. Drinks are self serve. Overall a worthwhile stop if you have a bit of time. Hopefully they get the staffing thing all worked out.

No flights to be had but I started with a pint of "Let's Go Brandon" amber. I'm not sure who Brandon is but I wish he'd go... The amber was quite good and malty. I would have gone with a second pint of the same but switched it up. Meanwhile, SWPFTD had ordered a pint of the Angler amber which was quite different than mine but still tasty. The second pint I had was the He Devil IPA which wasn't bitter as IPA's go. Nice flavor though. Dinner was in order and we were thinking pizza but the ribeye came highly recommended. It was huge and perfectly cooked medium rare. Add a large loaded baked potato, a salad, and bread with herb butter and I was stuffed. We took quite a bit with us to have steak and eggs tomorrow morning. Heavens Gate is definitely worth your time if you're coming through town. The beer was great and so was the food! It has the feel of a locals bar, which it is. Folks were super friendly. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you!

There is plenty of comfortable seating. The squeeze and i split the finger steaks with an onion ring upgrade. A little gristle in one piece, but it's hard to find finger steaks without that. Good breading with a nice mix of spices. The onion rings were great, no pull out of the onion. This was pleny of food for two as a quick lunch. We just had water to drink, and they gave us our own pitcher. Service was great, and the server/waitress/bartender was really friendly. She filled my cold cup with a coke so I didn't have to stop at a gas station before leaving town. There are so many places to eat on the main drag, and I am glad we chose this one. Winner, winner, fingersteak dinner.

This is walkable from most of the motels. There were differentiating reviews but we gave it a 5* review because the service & the food were both excellent! It's had plenty of seating, many tables for 6, a pool table, a bar & several TVs. I had the Rodeo burger & it tasted fresh & was excellent! My husband had the 12oz ribeye & it was cooked perfectly to his request. I didn't try it but it looked sooo good! We came here late September & it started getting crowded right about 5:30. We will definitely come back in the spring on our next stay!

After sitting down, we realized there was no QR code so we had to go back and wait. The beer was underwhelming, the IPA in particular was disappointing. After ordering, we were told the food would take about 40 minutes, but it ended up taking an hour and 20 minutes. When it was finally ready, we had to go pick it up ourselves and carry it back across the creek. Given the lack of service, it's unclear why a tip is expected. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for it, both the burger and BLT were mediocre, and everything arrived cold. Overall, takes a long time and there are much better options in town.

Wife loved classic bison with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo on a fresh ciabatta bun. I loved the spicy Jack bison topped with charred, jalapeño, relish, Diablo sauce, pepper, jack, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. Big side salad with several choices of dressings. Great ambience and service with cold tasty craft brews and delicious grub!
