A locals spot that is friendly to outsiders! Nice laid back atmosphere with plenty of beer selections. We had the Kolsch and porter both wonderful! A definite stop for everyone. read more

Riverport Brewing - Kolsch and porter. - Breweries Near Me - Clarkston, Washington

This brewery is awesome. Great local brews. Friendly locals and a nice patio to while away the hours talking with people you'll never meet again about deep things of life. Flights are the way to go for sure until you know what your favorites are. read more

The beer used to be very good and served throughout the valley. Unfortunately, now, the beer has a funk to it, and it isn't very good.

I came here with my puppy just trying to get her out and used to being around people and everyone was so friendly. They are definitely a hometown hangout and serve some amazing beers I will be back to this area and will definitely be coming back for some great service and delicious perfect temp beer! read more

Riverport Brewing - The whole bar is pet friendly but on such a nice day why wouldn't we enjoy this wonderful patio setup! - Breweries Near Me - Clarkston, Washington

Meh. Nice taproom and patio. Beers were underwhelming. No food. Nice staff. Nothing to take home.

I love this brewery. Pete and Marv were avid home brewers prior to following their dream and opening a brewery. They are both passionate about good beer and will not hesitate of answer any of your questions. Chances are unless you're Michael Jackson, Charlie Papazian or own your own brewery they know more about making beer then anybody. The Bullseye PA is my favorite beer they make (excluding seasonal beers.) It's a great example of an American IPA, its well balanced but still hoppy and a great malt profile. They use plenty of hops when it calls for it but blonde ales generally don't. There Blonde is good and it does give people who don't drink craft beers a great place to start. I think its way better then a bud, sure its light but it also has flavor. American Light Lagers like Budweiser don't. They have really good seasonal beers like their Oktoberfest; it was probably the best I have ever had so obviously I bought two 1/6 barrels of it. They just finished up a great winter strong ale and made and amazing brown ale with the left over mash. When you go there ask what seasonal beers they have on tap. Those beers are the more creative, complex and wild beers that Marv and Pete make. I don't think they plan to offer much more in the way of food. This is a brewery not a brew pub, there is a difference. They do offer Pepsi Product and you can get Fizzaris Pizza delivered to the tasting room. How can you go wrong with that? There is also a projector for the TV so you can catch sporting events and enjoy a local craft made beer (or 6) at the same time. It's located just northwest to Basalt Cellars Winery, Wal-Mart, and The Quality Inn in Clarkston. If you have never been to the area it is a little hard to find so just look for those places and read more

Riverport Brewing - Buy LOcal - Breweries Near Me - Clarkston, Washington

They are the only brewery in the Lewiston-Clarkston area. If I were only grading their beer, it would be a 4, but the friendly staff and the fact they are dog friendly and the even sell dog treats, bumps it up. It seems everyone has a different idea what a good beer is. While I didn't find many of the beers at Riverport to my liking, I could tell they were well made. I did drink all my tasters. I have had the Riverport Red at a few restaurants, and it is still what I would consider their best beer. Prices seemed reasonable and the service was friendly. I liked the fact that their bar stools were not the generic and uncomfortable metal stools you seem to find at many other breweries. The atmosphere isn't overly exciting, it is basically a warehouse. I'll stop by when they have other beers on tap. I am sure they will brew something else that I like. read more

By far the best brewery in the state. Love the River Rat Red! Better check this place out. Also has wifi read more

Riverport Brewing - Excellent place! Best brewery we have found in Washington so far. Don't miss this place! - Breweries Near Me - Clarkston, Washington

Enjoying the River Rat Red with free popcorn. It's like a big man cave with locals hanging out. Good beer and they encourage people to bring in their own food. Ordered from the BBQ truck and they delivered. Service is fast and extremely attentive, never had to wait for more beer read more

Ma and Pa type feel with outstanding customer service. Our server works there on the side of another job and works there because she likes it and it's fun- that says something out the establishment and the owners. Doing something right guys! The beer is great! We had their pepper beer and that has a real kick to it! Add in some tomato juice-- money! We also had a dark beer and their red beer. Can't beat the prices either. 5 bucks a beer no matter what your drinking. read more

This brunette really enjoyed having a Blonde Moment at Riverport Brewing the other day. The brew was light and refreshing and just what I needed after a week of Thanksgiving feasting. Plus, the pint was under $4, which is bargain beer territory. I had previously tried one of their IPAs at the Great American Beer Festival, but I'm not a fan of one of the hops they used, so I can't really speak to its quality. My husband enjoyed it enough, though. I can, however, speak to the quality of their porter - delicious. It tasted like dark coffee without any bitterness. You'll appreciate the brewery's decor and vibe if you're: 1) A Vandal fan (you, nasty and inebriated folks) 2) An outdoorsman 3) Familiar with the LC Valley 4) Not there for the decor, but there for the beer Drink some beer, eat some popcorn (or bring a lunch), and watch some football. That's how it's done here. read more

This small, new brewery opened in the summer of 2008. It's located in Clarkston near the river in a big, cavernous warehouse-looking type hanger building. The parking lot is gravel, the door looks like it belongs on a garage, and that's what it is. A converted garage. The interior boasts a short bar with stools, several tables with chairs, a couple of bar games and even a few televisions. It's still just one big warehouse without any walls or dividers. Kegs and brewing equipment are off to the side. They obviously want to get the locals in to hangout after work and enjoy a few beers. They currently only serve free popcorn. No kitchen available, and none likely to come any time soon from what I can tell. The beer is probably exactly what you would expect from a start-up company without much financial backing. Hops are expensive, so the hops are light in their first brews. There isn't much creativity, and they seem to be trying to appeal to the most people they possibly can. Not a bad idea to get yourself going. Their Blonde Moment is a slightly better version of Bud. The Oatmeal Stout was a bit thin, but still flavorful and very drinkable. The IPA had too much up-front bitterness for my tastes, but the Cedar Rock Pale Ale was nicely balanced with some fruity hop flavors. The River Rat Red was probably the least impressive, since I don't even really remember drinking it. My favorite was the Bedrock Bock, but I'm a sucker for Bocks. It wasn't a particularly good bock, just like the rest of their beers aren't particularly great examples of their style, but there's nothing wrong with it, either. Two older ladies staffed the bar and provided drinks along with a limited beer knowledge. I overhead that the guys were on a bar crawl. Talk about locally owned! But very nice and friendly service. read more

$3 pints! Giant screen TV, 9 beers on tap. No food except for the complimentary pretzels. Friendly place near Quality Inn, Walmart, and Costco. Hon, you go shopping while I hoist a few. Got the sampler -- 7, 4 ounce pours for $5. My favorite was the red but have a red preference. Drawbacks - only open Monday - Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. read more

I like the feel of this place. Wasn't a fan of the beer but a lot of people seemed to be enjoying it. They have a nice deck to relax on. Being 300 yards from the river it sucks they found a way to be completely surrounded by warehouses which kills the view. I tried 2 brews and didn't find the one for me, but I'll probably come back and try another. read more

Riverport is a warehouse with a bar and some tables, and a big screen TV. You come here strictly for the cheap beer and watch games. I tried 6 of their beers that they had on tap when I visited (they brew about 14 or 15 different types of beer). The Blond as weak and flat. The rest was not bad. Overall their beers are very decent. Beer drinkers should check this place. I would return to try more of their beers, or even have a cold one now and then. read more

The beer, at least the River Rat Red, was very good. Four stars for the beer. The waitress, however, was unfriendly. Did not feel particularly welcome, but we are not locals. Cool place otherwise. read more

This a great brewery. The beer is great and people are very nice. River Rat Red is great! Popcorn to boot! read more

Riverport Brewing - Breweries Near Me - Clarkston, Washington

Sometimes I forget that good beer doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. In fact, it can cost exactly $3. Met up with some friends here for a few brews and bought a round, expecting to lose all the cash I had on me. A round for FIVE people is exactly $15. The price is right. The beer is good and they had a decent selection. Tried the Oatmeal Stout and the Pale Ale - both were very tasty and ice cold. However, there are a few drawbacks. Only open until 8pm, and that's tough if you like to drink a little later in the evening (I've only managed to get there once in all my trips to the valley and attempts to make it there before closing). The view out back isn't stellar (neighboring warehouse), and being that close to the river, you kinda wanna look at it while you're kicking back a few brews. However, there are some perks, such as free popcorn (and you can order your own food. We got some Fazzarri's delivered), and a very sweet and friendly staff. read more

The people are genuine, the brewmaster washes dishes, and there's bowls of free popcorn to boot! Amazing beer amongst a thirsty town of bud-light drinkers searching for answers. Thank you Riverport!! read more

Riverport Brewing - An oasis of satisfying microbrews in a barren dessert of bud light establishments, also known as the LC valley. Love.this.place. - Breweries Near Me - Clarkston, Washington

Positive: really good beer Negative: terrible head banging music while watching the Masters Golf - no way to escape the horrible clash. Sad. Won't be back to sip beer read more

We found this place on the back end of a rafting trip down the Lower Salmon. We had a large group that included kids and there was ample space for us on their outdoor deck. The people behind the bar were super friendly...and the beer was tasty. At the end of the night, I left my sunglasses on the table outside. I went back the next day to see if they were still outside, but they were not. We were leaving town that day (on a Sunday) and the brewery happens to be closed on Sundays. I called a few days later and the owner had my glasses and offered to put them in the mail to me right away. A few days later, the glasses arrived in my mailbox at home. Thank you Riverport Brewing for going out of your way to get my sunglasses back to me! I will be back the next time I am in the area. read more

Had a couple of samplers and a pint here and really enjoyed everything. This brewery is in a converted warehouse and has interior seating and a patio with chairs and tables outside. I like the building and the bar where we sat. The owner is really nice and serves fresh popcorn with the beer. A great selection (10 types when we were there) and everything tasted great. A great place to hang out with friends and have a few pints! read more

I love this brewery. It's not pretentious at all. The beer is delicious and affordable. My favorite is the Grande Rhonde Rye. They have popcorn there, but you can also bring in your own food. There is a BBQ hit right outside that is tasty too. They always seem to be trying a new style of beer too. read more

What a cool place! Incredible beer, I stongly reccomend the Red and Burbon wine... amazing!! it's a simple hometown type place with some of the worlds best brew but no food just pop corn (we ordered pizza in!). Wow I have been going here since they opened. I love the open area whether with a group or just my husband & I. Sitting outdoors in the sunshine is a wonderful option also & for those with children they allow you to bring them along too, having root beer for them to drink. You can have food delivered while you have your pint & eat from wherever you want! My favorite is the RiverRat Red. Great people & service, oh & awesome beer selections! read more

Really like the concept of the establishment. However, they still need to find that one beer to become a signature item. I have tried all their beers and for micros, they definitely have a nice variety...but none are what I'd consider memorable. Neat names like Blonde Moment and River Rat Red are better than the brew. The facility screams bring your buddies, watch the game, draft a fantasy league etc while eating the pizza you just had delivered! read more

Cool local place, and only brewery in the Lewiston-Clarkston area. Good beer. Nice, friendly beer tenders. Bring your own food, or eat at food truck outside of front door. Or, get a Fazzari's Pizza (excellent) and eat it there! read more

It's an ok place if you like drinking in a metal pole building. The beers are only so-so. Nothing really stands out as very good. Go to Portland for a real brewery. Not bad for a Mom & Pop hobby gone wild though. read more

Great Beer!! BBQ joint in the parking lot was fantastic! If any thing go for the BBQ!! We had a half rack of ribs and the French dip, coleslaw and beans. Will definitely stop again on our way outta town!! read more

Great beer at a great price, what more can you want from a brewery. Bedrock bock and Grand Ronde rye are my favorite regular brews, but the Old Harold barleywine and Old Whiskers bourbon aged stout are even better when they are on tap. There is now a BBQ shack in their newly paved parking lot. read more

If you're expecting a brewpub like you would find in Seattle or Portland, you'll be disappointed. Riverport Brewing is a brewery first, where they've have a bar and several tables within the building (which is part of a warehouse: on hot days they open up the dock doors and you can sit out on a patio area). There is no food service, however there are several restaurants that will deliver to the brewery; directly to your table. What matters is they offer a good selection of beers, including their flag ships "River Rat Red" and "Blonde Moment". They typically have a couple IPAs on draft (Seven Devils), a pale ale, bock and an oatmeal stout. Their beers are good and pricing is extremely fair: pints and growlers. When it's busy and they're slammed, you typically have to go to the bar to order vs. service at the table: it's OK. I always have a great time and look forward to returning. read more
