Although the Three Horseshoes is very popular, I would not necessarily recommend it, as I feel it used to be much better than it is now. It offers a range of eating opportunities, including pub meals, a carvery and a bistro style restaurant. One of the problems is that the staff do not seem very keen on customers and are not very helpful explaining the system to new visitors - you usually end up waiting in the wrong place only to be told to queue elsewhere! I went to a murder mystery evening which was OK but nothing special, and I have been to the carvery a couple of times. The food is not too bad but no better than any other local carvery - just much more expensive. IT is well located close to Tittesworth Reservoir and the Roaches, so gets quite a lot of passing visitors. It is worth trying if you are in the area, but I would not recommend making a special trip. read more
